Chapter 26
Adrien stood on the outside of the mansion together with Elliot beside the car, waiting for Kagami to come out as well.
"Why are there some scratches all over the car?" Questioned Elliot pointing at the door of the side of the driver.
"I'm pretty sure some people just don't know how to be careful when opening car doors. They could hold their hands here at the end of the door when they open it, but they don't seem to care or want to," Adrien spoke making Elliot nod.
"Can it be fixed?" Questioned the boy making Adrien nod.
"Yes it can, but this happened already three times to it. It's at the moment not worth it do send it away again," Adrien commented making Elliot nod.
By the door, Kagami came out, then approached the two blondes.
"Sorry, I had received a call from my aunt," Kagami apologized, then Elliot pointed at the scratches on the car.
"Mom, someone scratched our car," Mentioned Elliot, watching Kagami bow down to look at the door and notice them as well.
"Your grandfather knows about it. We won't do anything about it for now," Kagami said making Elliot nod, then Kagami picked up Elliot up and pecked the boy on the cheek. "I haven't gotten a kiss yet from you,"
"I was doing homework when you came home," Elliot responded earning a nod from Adrien, which reached his hands towards his son and Kagami helped their son get into Adrien's arms. "Have you told mommy you made an excellent at math?" Questioned Adrien making Elliot shake his head.
"You did? That's great," Congratulated Kagami passing her hand by the cheek of her son. "Do you know, what it means, when you receive another one of these?" Questioned Kagami making Elliot shrug his shoulders, then Adrien whispered into his son's ear.
"But…...didn't you say they were no toys about that movie?" Questioned Elliot making Adrien nod.
"We found a way to obtain it, it might just take a little longer than usual," Adrien spoke watching Kagami open the door for Elliot, then Adrien placed Elliot down and helped him enter into the car up on his children's seat. Adrien closed the door, after seeing Elliot had taken the belt to fasten himself on the seat, afterward he opened up the door of the co-driver seat and gestured to Kagami to enter the vehicle.
"Thank you," Kagami said entering the vehicle after Adrien closed the door he got to the driver's side and sat down as well putting the seat belt on along with Kagami.
"Have you spoken to your mother about tonight?" Questioned Adrien earning a nod from the blue-haired woman.
"Yes, she knows we're coming. Eventually, we might take a look at Shiryoku's fur. She feels like he's been scratching himself too much lately. He could have fleas." Commented Kagami making Adrien nod, then press the engine button.
"Uh when was the last time he showered? Wasn't he per coincidence at the vet?" Asked Adrien switching the handle to backward, then pressed on a remote control lying inside the cup holder to open the gates behind them and he reversed back slow while looking above the seats to the back.
"No so far I know, he only was controlled and vaccinated," Kagami commented.
"Perhaps before dinner, I could give him a bath," Suggested Adrien. "We'll be there before the 6 and the dinner is around the 7 more or less,"
"Good and we might need to cut his nails or check them out," Kagami added. "That will be easier if we do it together,"
"I think you're right about it. He doesn't really like to have his nails cut," Added Adrien watching himself roll out at the road, then switched the gear to move forward. "Didn't you say most of the dogs at the kennel have that?"
"Yes, this is why we prefer to put on most of them the muzzle. They don't like it, but this way we can do it faster and save time for them to be in our hands,"
"Right," Adrien commented watching the road passing beside cars, that drove to the opposite direction. Adrien grinned by recognizing Alya passing by in a small vehicle, then lifted his hand up along with Alya. Adrien watched the car pass by them, spotting on the second row of the car window a sun shade with Ladybug on it.
"Remember we used to have sun shades for the car of all the superheroes together," Mentioned Adrien making Kagami nod. "What actually happened to them?" Asked the father, then heard Elliot chuckle and Adrien lifted his eyes up at the rear view mirror. "What's funny?"
"I accidentally broke it," Elliot answered. "And the other time it was grandpa Gabriel,"
"I see that wasn't a good thing," Adrien commented making Kagami laugh.
"Well, the issue was I didn't have locked the windows that one time and Elliot happened to be hot and accidentally slid down the entire window having the sun shade get broken during the pull,"
"Grandpa did the same but from the front," Elliot added making Adrien chuckle.
"Well could have happened to anyone," Adrien commented slowing the car down at a zebra crossing to let three women cross the road while pulling a baby car with two children in each cart and they wore a yellow reflector with the creches name on it. "Hey I think Nathalie was in this creche, wasn't he?" Questioned Adrien making Kagami nod.
"Yes," Answered Kagami. "They're doing their daily walk," Kagami commented making the husband nod. Both departed afterward, a little silent moment Adrien looked at the rear view mirror to watch Elliot observe the crowd, that had passed a second ago over the road.
"Mite" Adrien spoke and Kagami looked at Adrien, which rolled his eyes back at Elliot, so Kagami would look at their son as well. Kagami looked back at Adrien, which was looking at the road afterward glimpsed back at the Japanese woman. "Could he be thinking about, what I think it is?"
"Good question," Commented Kagami observing their son continue to look at the children.
"Are you enjoying to see the babies on the wheel?" The father asked calling Elliot's attention, who looked at the front to his parents to see his mother look at him, while Adrien was focused on the road.
"I have never seen so many siblings together," Commented Elliot making Kagami chuckle.
"They're actually all from different families. The women are like kindergarten teachers taking care of them until their moms or dads could come back from work," Kagami explained making Elliot nod, which looked out of the window again. Kagami looked at Adrien, which moved his head back quickly to notice him look out of the window.
"Hey champ, have you ever thought about having a little brother or sister?" Questioned Adrien observing with the mirror's help Elliot look at the parents.
"No," Responded Elliot. "Why?"
"We saw you admiring the babies. There are many kids out there, that would love to have a sibling," Adrien commented. "Some also have one and adore each other,"
"Just like your dad and Hope," Added Kagami, making Elliot shrug his shoulders.
"Maybe it would be cool," Commented Elliot. "If no one can play with me at home, not even my friends, maybe a little brother would do,"
"You would as well be just like your dad. A big brother, which can give many advice, help, joy, and much more," The blonde explained making Elliot nod.
"I would let him play with my toys too and I would show him how to play several games or cool tricks. I would be his best friend too. One who he can always ask for help. Like you and mom,"
"That's cute," Spoke Adrien.
"And would you promise, that you would be a good brother?" Questioned Kagami watching Elliot nod.
"The best," Elliot chanted. "We gotta ask the stork to bring mommy the baby," The boy said making Kagami giggle at her son's comment, then looked at Adrien, which was steering the car, and glimpsed at Kagami. She nodded, making her husband understand her comment, afterward he moved his hand away from the steering wheel to pick Kagami's hand up and lean it against his shoulder, so he could give it a kiss.
Juleka sat in the dining room on her smartphone waiting for the vice versa person to attend it.
"Hello Luka, its me, Juleka. I wanted to ask you, how Rouven is doing...I had dropped him off by the house and had seen him almost falling,"
"Nothing has happened to him luckily. I heard it from Marinette, that the person who spared him from getting under the bus was that one cousin, that served his sentence in jail because of kidnapping Adrien's mother,"
"I don't remember what he looked like. I know it was in the news" Juleka stated. "I should have dropped him off on the other side,"
"You don't have to blame yourself for it. Rouven just happened to trip over. Luckily he had Mr. Lefevre pass there by coincidence,"
"Right, I just called to be sure everything is okay,"
"Sure, Jule. Hows are Rose and Eireen doing?" Questioned Luka.
"They're good. I and Rose were doing Vitello tonnato together and Eireen offered Rose a hand while I tried to call you,"
"Cool,"
Rose looked at Eireen spreading over then tray small slices of apple and the adult waved at her wife to earn her attention.
"Juleka, ask Luka if he, Rouven, and Marinette can pass by on Saturday night for dinner. I will make Apple pie as well," Rose asked making Juleka nod.
"Rose wants you to come on Saturday here with your family. Would be great for us all and Eireen gets to know you or Marinette as well. Rouven she and him so far do get along pretty good,"
"I will talk with Marinette about it. I'm pretty sure we can come,"
"Okay, I will give you a call or a message when we got the answer. Otherwise, we will see each other throughout the week," Luka commented making Juleka nod.
Nathaniel got out of his house to walk out of his lot, following the sidewalk while carrying in his hand a letter.
"Weird how the mailman didn't see the difference between our names," Nathaniel commented approaching the house, that was located a few meters beside the lot of the Kurtzbergs. Nathaniel stopped by the mailbox to put the letter into the gap in the box, then walked back to return home.
Near the crossroad, where the house was, a car passed by, and after disappearing behind the wall a car brake could be heard, followed by a crashing noise. Nathaniel noticed, then looked around himself to see if anyone was around.
"Karaa," Spoke Nathaniel watching her kwami fly out of his jacket to look at her owner.
"Was that an accident I heawd?" Questioned Karaa making Nathaniel nod.
"Sounded like one to me. I could use your help," Commented Nathaniel earning a nod from the kwami. "Karaa, stripes out!" Shouted Nathaniel taking the identity of Super Nathan, afterward, he ran past the entrance to his house to approach the crossroad and turned across the street to see the two cars had crashed into each other in the middle of the road. Super Nathan ran to the location, then watched the co-driver get out and Super Nathan approached the man.
"You're alright, sir?" Questioned Super Nathan, then heard the man's wife hear call for their daughter's name and Super Nathan glimpsed through the window to recognize Nathalie's classmate Ruby being helped out by her mother, which hugged the girl, that had been shocked by the accident and was crying. Super Nathan got around the car to take a look at the two females.
"Is everything okay?" Questioned Super Nathan, then Mrs. Langerak glimpsed up at the superhero and smiled relieved at seeing the man.
"Look who's here," The brunette warned watching the girl look up at the superhero while sobbing.
"Don't worry. Accidents can be scary sometimes," Super Nathan commented looking at a pole, where several candles were placed on the ground with a picture of a man behind it. Super Nathan looked at the other car to see from the back seat a tan-skinned woman jump out of the car to open the co-driver door so the group could hear from the interior a baby crying. The journalist sank her head in fear about the victims of the other car and Super Nathan got closer to the woman, then observed from the other side the driver get out as well.
"Oh palaço. Nao sabe ir na sua linha?!" Questioned the driver annoyed by the accident looking at the man on the other side of the road.
"Ei, voce nao tem direito de falar assim com a minha mulher," Mr. Langerak shouted and Super Nathan moved up his arm hope to gain their attention.
"Gentlemen, please, let's have a normal talk," Super Nathan asked hearing the toddler cry on the woman's arms, which tried to soothe him down. "Is the baby alright?" Questioned Nathaniel watching the faux-blonde cradle the baby in her arms.
"Todo estará bien, guapo," The woman commented with the superhero approaching the duo.
"Is the baby good?" Questioned Super Nathan making the blonde nod, then glimpsed at the two men, that were arguing. "Gentlemen, please calm down. We can all take it like decent adult beings..." Super Nathan commented watching the Brazilian and the Swedish man approach each other while bickering with each other in Portuguese.
"Peter, it's alright, listen to Super Nathan," The brunette warned while she held her hand behind Ruby's back and glimpsed at the Latina, which didn't manage to soothe the baby yet. Super Nathan approached the men to stand between the two and placed each hand in front of their chest. "Mi amigos, come on. Let's calm down first. Solving the issue by yelling at each other wont help both out of it, right?" Questioned Super Nathan making the two men nod. "Okay, so I ask now to answer normally, what happened here exactly?" The purple-skinned man asked, then Mr. Langerak raised his arm along with the Brazilian. "Uh you sir," The redhead pointed at the latter, which placed his arm down.
"Well during the drive I was talking with my girlfriend. Our baby on the front seat had started to crying. She tried to comfort him from the backseat. She thought she had figured it out, then asked me to follow her instructions," The man said. "She knows that I should not lose the focus on the road and I was doing that or at least, I was making sure I was. I had glued my eyes for a moment at our boy, afterwards I just rolled my eyes up and pressed the brake,"
"Okay," Super Nathan commented looking that both cars had met on the middle of the road. ,"Mr. Langerak, what about you?" Questioned Super Nathan, then heard his wife approach the trio along with her daughter.
"I got carried away with a conversation I was having with my husband and I have eventually had my eyes set aside too often and didn't watch the following road," Mrs. Langerak commented making Super Nathan nod, then Ruby nudged Super Nathan with her hand on his wrist.
"Super Nathan, does mommy have to go to jail?" Questioned Ruby making the redhead shake his head.
"No, no, no. Dont worry, nothing bad has happened. You all will just be here a little longer until the police comes to analyze the issue. They have a better aknowlegde about all sort of accidents. I'll be here with you all as well, no need to worry about,"
"Thank you," Said River, then from looking at Ruby admiring the hero, the mother held up her hand at the man with purple-skin complexion. "By the way, I heard about you having saved my girl from being hit by a car. Now that I see you here I wanted to show my gratitude live as well. Thank you so much for your bravery,"
"Youre welcome, Mrs. Langerak. Im glad to help, when I can," Super Nathan commented making the woman smile. He watched the girl smile at him as well, afterward he had an idea and used his tablet to draw something and above their heads appeared a dog plush with the design of Super Nathans suit making Ruby drop her mouth surprised. "Here a little gift for you," Super Nathan offered making Ruby smile and accept it.
"What do we say?" Questioned River looking down at her daughter, which whispered a little thank you.
"No problem," Super Nathan commented and returned to the tablet to copy the previous drawing to edit a few details before he brought another plush to life, but with a blanket to life. "Here you go," Super Nathan commented watching the woman accept it with a smile.
"Gracias," Responded the blonde, followed by watching the hero lift his hand to announce his leaving.
"Prego," Super Nathan commented walking away, leaving the woman a little confused, afterward Super Nathan widened his eyes and face palmed. "Ugh not again,"
Super Nathan moved on, then moved into the plot of his house, crashing against somebody, causing the person to fall.
"I'm sorry!" Apologized Super Nathan looking down at the ground to see, he had crashed against his wife. "Oh it's you," Commented Super Nathan watching Lila stare up at the superhero confused.
"Uh you're on my lot," Mentioned Lila watching Super Nathan get down to offer his wife his hand to help her out. "I heard a while ago a loud noise and before my husband left to bring a neighbor his mail. He's not supposed to be so far away,"
"Well I actually saw him as I was there by the accident," Commented making Lila feel enstranged by the sentence.
"W….what happened?" Asked Lila making Super Nathan realize he made it sound tragic.
"Oh no, no, no. Not like that. He's alive, don't worry. He had just got there to see what happened and I happened to be jumping about the rooftops as well. He might still be there," Super Nathan said hoping to convince Lila to remain calm, then she nodded.
"I'll going to get him," Lila mentioned making Super Nathan gasp, then watched her leave and Super Nathan followed her to watch her go to the accident location. Super Nathan dropped off his transformation and ran across the street to see her continue her path.
"Lila! I'm over here!" Warned Nathaniel catching her attention, then he ran over the road again to meet her up.
"What were you doing there?" Questioned Lila. "Super Nathan said you were over there,"
"Yes uh…..I made the call for the police," Nathaniel made up making Lila nod. "Did I worry you?"
"I was getting a little. After the crash, you didn't return," Commented Lila making Nathaniel nod.
"I didn't mean to," Apologized Nathaniel, then Lila grabbed her husband's hand to gaze into his eyes.
"It's alright. Let's get back home. Nathalie asked me, if we all could play one of her board games," Lila commented making Nathaniel nod.
"Hey we haven't played that in a long while," Commented Nathaniel. "I think we played it before you left for the recordings in Italy last time,"
"Ah wow that really is a long time," Lila admitted walking along with her husband over the path back into their house.
