Summary: These are a few of my favourite things.
Filius Flitwick may have been a small man in stature, but he had a big heart. He loved Charms. It was one of his favourite subjects. All his students performed admirably, except one who kept setting things on fire by accident.
Hmm, might need to help the laddie out a bit, Flitwick thought, wondering on what would be the best way to hone the fiery power of the boy. He never gave up on a student. This included those who blew things up. It was his passion to teach all that came through his door.
Another favourite thing Flitwick loved was music. He had once ventured to ask Dumbledore if he could start another class, for his special students had more than one talent that needed to be finessed. He invented the music class, becoming the Choir Master. Oh yes! He was the best conductor of them all. He treasured his choir. Every student who joined it was another blessing. It was a privilege when they would perform in front of the whole school.
But Flitwick's most favourite thing? Fun. Anything fun. He often let his students goof around. It helped relieve tension in class. Less tension meant better attention! He tried to not set too much homework, giving his students time to relax. He was the one who helped Hagrid decorate for all the holidays, humming tunes as he went. Christmas tunes in December. Happy tunes nearing any celebration. All of these things were fun. All of these things made Flitwick's heart fill with happiness.
Yes, the best thing to make the days go by easily was to enjoy them!
