Summary: Obsessions of love can lead to strange things.

Ginny Weasley was always obsessed with the celebrity, Harry Potter. But he was obsessing over that Ravenclaw gal. But SHE was obsessing over that Hufflepuff ... puff? Sure, let's call him a puff.

For now. It fit, for now.

But no one seemed to be interested in her. Feeling rather left out, Ginny wandered into the greenhouses. At the far end, she found Neville Longbottom who was bent over some young shining black roses, gently poking at them to make sure they were planted properly.

"Oh, hi Ginny," Neville glanced up at her. "Mind passing me the clippers, please?"

"Sure," Ginny said, looking around before finding them. She handed them over. "Any plans for Valentine's Day?"

"Not really," Neville shrugged, clipping off a stem with a beautiful black rose.

"That's really pretty," Ginny mused.

Neville looked at her. "Here, do you want it?" He held it out to her.

Ginny took the rose. After softly smelling it, she blurted out, "Why don't we go out to Hogsmeade, together?"

Neville stared in surprise at her. "Sure, why not?"

After putting his things away, he took her hand to lead her outside, down the path to the little town. Ignoring people staring at them, they entered the tea shop. As others moved aside, Neville walked across the floor to a table where he pulled out a chair for Ginny before sitting down himself next to her.

Neville held up the menu so that both of them could look at it together. He ended up ordering a blueberry muffin with a hot chai while she went for a chocolate chip cookie with a white tea plus one sugar.

They ending up talking while finishing the simple meal. Ginny realized there was more to Neville than just plants. He actually had an interesting life, plus he was rather cute.

As they were leaving the shop, Ginny said, "We should maybe do this again, some time?"

"Sounds good," said Neville.

"It's a date," Ginny teased before blushing furiously.

"Yes," Neville said with a soft laugh. "It is."
