A/N: Before I start responding to reviews, I wanted to get a few things out of the way. As some of you could tell, I'm not the most well versed with the Nasuverse. I just got what I knew and rolled with it. As a lot of you can tell, a lot of it is from fanfiction. That being said, I'll definitely be taking all of your advice into account as I continue writing, but there will be a few things that don't exactly line up with Nasu's worldbuilding. I'm going to be prioritizing shenanigans over consistent worldbuilding, since it's just more fun that way. I apologize if that's not what you're looking for. Anyways, onto the review responses
Phantom Thief of Hearts: I have not played the mobile game, and have no intention of playing it. Sorry to disappoint, but I will be using OCs.
Fabled Life: Thank you for your review! It was really educational, and trust me, you're not bothering anyone. I'll probably be looking back at your review more than once as I continue to write this story.
Chapter 2: Host
Shirou concluded that Ms. Smith wasn't like Taiga. She was worse. As soon as she left, the air went from tense to palpable. Somehow, Shirou knew that Ms. Smith saw this coming, but decided to place a complete stranger in this situation anyways.
"So," Shirou directed his attention at the elf. As soon as their eyes met, she unsheathed her sword, pointing it right between his eyes.
"Try anything funny and I'll make sure you regret it," Tisha growled. Shirou took one look at the blade and information flooded into his head.
The legend of an elven war hero fighting 4,000 years ago in a classic war between good and evil. The whole legend was so cut and dry that it took Shirou a couple seconds to register that the events flashing through his head actually happened. The blade, Knivhuggare, was a rapier blessed by the elven god of wind for the use of an elven hero. It was a B-rank anti-army noble phantasm, capable of creating a giant windstorm. Unfortunately, no one has been able to use it to its full potential for around 500 years. In the hands of Tisha, it was nothing more than a mystic code capable of manipulating the wind slightly.
"I'm already spoken for," Shirou said slowly. Even if he wasn't in a relationship, he probably would have said the same thing. The fact that Rin would curse him half to death if he tried anything without her permission just happened to motivate him not to elope.
"I hope you understand that doesn't change my statement," Tisha's expression didn't waver. Shriou took another look at the blade and then met her eyes. His expression remained neutral in hopes to convey that he both understood and had no intentions of doing anything inappropriate.
"There are a few empty rooms," Shirou finally said evenly. "I can show you around the house and you can pick which room you like."
"Fine," Tisha huffed and sheathed her sword. Shirou nodded and started to lead Tisha around the house, idly wondering if she would be open to the idea of sparring. He didn't know how strong she was, or how elves were, but he hoped he could have daily spars with an opponent stronger than him.
Saber… Shirou took a step outside into the backyard and stopped, a wistful smile on his face. He still missed his servant, even after all these years.
"Emiya?" Tisha's voice snapped Shirou from his stupor.
"Please, just call me Shirou," Shirou turned to give the elf a soft smile. "Sorry about that. I was just lost in thought."
"Whatever," The elf huffed. She still sounded tense and uncomfortable.
"What do you think of the house?" Shirou asked.
"It's not what I'm used to," Tisha responded stiffly.
"Yeah, I understand how you feel," Shirou sighed, trying to find a way to lighten the tension. "I actually only moved in a few hours ago."
"Really? I thought you hosts would be more acquainted with your residence before we were sent to live with you," Tisha almost looked disappointed with Shirou. "Why were you relocated before you started hosting?"
"I was sort of thrust into this position," Shirou replied honestly. There was no point in lying. "I'm not sure if I'll be the best host, but I'll try my best."
"I see," Tisha said, her voice relaxing a little bit. "Can you tell me which room is closest to the backyard?"
Tisha heaved a sigh of relief as she sat down on her new bed. The room was quite simplistic and what she came to expect out of human architecture. The past couple of days have been a huge culture shock. She was happy that she was able to find some common ground with Shirou, as they were both seemingly forced into their respective positions.
Damn it, Tisha thought to herself. She didn't blame her family for sending her to the human world, as she understood why they did it, but that didn't mean she had to like it. She was basically just a means to create relations with the humans. Nothing else.
Tisha grew up on ancient stories of the elves trying to fight off human invaders. In fact, her parents were the first in generations to even consider talking with humans. When they heard that the humans from Japan were starting an exchange program, they jumped at the thought of peace.
The elf princess rubbed her temples before unsheathing her sword. "What should I do?"
A small gust of wind blew past Tisha and swirled around the blade before dissipating in response. Tisha just signed in response.
"I have no idea what that means," She whispered before sheathing the sword and laying it by her bed. She lay down and closed her eyes. The sun was barely setting, but it had been a long day. She could worry about how to deal with everything later. For now, she wanted to rest, and that was exactly what to do.
Shirou took a deep breath of fresh air as he looked at the clear night sky. After Tisha went to bed, Shirou spent some more time getting familiar with the house. He took a log of what he needed to buy. Luckily the house was in good condition, so he didn't have to do any traced all the decorations he needed for his room, but he had to ask if Tisha wanted anything.
Right now, his goal is to scout the city to see if there were any traces of magecraft. Although the prana in the air was denser than the prana in his original world, it wasn't to an extreme amount. Although liminals and demihumans seemed to be common, it didn't seem that the Age of Gods was still going on.
Shirou's first goal was to track down the ley lines in the city. He was pleasantly surprised to realize that a ley line was running through his backyard, but he wanted to see where the others were and if there was any activity going on near them. He started to jog down the road, taking in the sights around him. He didn't have a chance to do his morning jog, so he figured that going on a jog now couldn't hurt.
The neighborhood didn't seem anything out of the ordinary. Shirou jogged around for about an hour, taking mental notes about anything he saw. He found a couple ley lines during the latter half of his job, but he didn't detect any strange activity going on around them. Shirou suspected as much. If a magus was doing something, they wouldn't be so obvious.
"Well, I might as well head back," He muttered to himself. Even if his night wasn't as productive in the sense of scoping out the moonlit world, he got a good idea of the layout of his new neighborhood, and to him, that was a success.

Kimihoto was walking down the hall when he saw Lala standing by the entrance to his room, looking at him with her normal deadpan expression.
"What's the matter?" Kimihoto asked, his expression blank.
"The stench of death, I can smell it," Lala spoke. "It reeks even stronger than yours, Mortal. I shall have to investigate this matter."
Before Kimihoto could stop her, Lala was gone.
I hope whoever Lala's referring to is alright, Kimihoto thought. Without a second thought, he went to his room and laid down. He was already so used to the antics of his tenants that he just wrote it off as a normal occurrence. With Lala's proclamation already gone in his mind, Kimihoto drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
AN: Thank you for reading! As always, please R&R. I'll also be taking requests for what kind of monster girls you want me to put in the story. You can either leave a request in the reviews or PM me. I'll be crediting if I decide to use a suggestion, but please don't be mad if I don't choose yours. I've planned like a total of 2 things in this fic and I'm just going with a flow, so the selection will probably be completely arbitrary. Anyways I hope you continue to follow the writing of this fic!
