I did not respond nor did I open my eyes as my tormentors opened the heavy door to my cell as they walked in with the tools needed for their experiment for today.

"Well, Subject 001, are you ready for today's experiment?" the voice I hated the most in this world rang out as the bastard that called himself Brain walked towards me.

Just like before, I did not respond even when he used his dark magic to cause unimaginable pain to my body.

The pain was something that I had become accustomed to in the past 20 years of being imprisoned in this place that had broken me beyond recovery.

"No response again? I guess I will have to make sure to experiment thoroughly today" he said as he activated the rune formation that was designed to suck my magic power from my container at a rapid pace, causing me excruciating pain. Although it served a real purpose of rapidly depleting my magic reserves to make my container stronger and in turn, my magic stronger as well, the formation was normally used by Brain to cause pain to his prisoners.

I should know since I was the one he liked to use it on the most aside from the poor girl that was trapped on the floor above that he called Subject 009. Her screams, in the beginning, were something that made me very angry at Brain for torturing a child, but when the screams stopped after a few days, I realized that the bastard had managed to break the child.

I sensed my Magic power being drained completely followed by it being refilled while my container became stronger.

Don't worry bastard, you will get your due punishment, albeit not in my hands.

Suddenly, the building shook as Brain had a worried look before bolting out of my room, forgetting to lock the cell.

I just smiled savagely as I felt the massive surge in Ethernano that was coming from the floors above.

Looks like the girl finally decided to give up the ruse and breakout.

For the first time in weeks, I opened my blood-red eyes as I looked at the commotion that was happening out of my cell.

Time to escape.

I rose to my full height as my body, which was tortured for the past 20 years, still looked like I had hit the gym way too hard.

Hooray for magic.

I looked towards the anti-magic shackles that were holding me back as I willed my magic to activate.

Black flames that were on par with the temperature of the sun spread throughout the room as everything started to melt.

I slowly walked out of the room and made my way towards the basement where my current objective was.

I ignored the flames and explosions all around me caused by the girl from before partially because of my immunity to the flames thanks to my magic and partially because I had stopped caring about a lot of things in the past 20 years.

Soon, I arrived in a massive hall that was also on fire. But it was in the middle of the hall was the one thing that I wanted the most right now and the one man that I wanted to burn down the most.

Startled by the sudden surge in magic, Brain turned around to find my form at the entrance of the room.

"Y-You? Impossible, I already drained your magic just a few minutes ago-"

"And you fail to realize, that I was just playing possum for the past few months even though my magic power had grown enough to obliterate this place in a single instant"

His reaction to my words was instantaneous as he started to attack me.

"Dark Rondo!"

His beam attack, however, was stopped when black energy manipulated the very earth to rise in the air and act as a barrier.

"W-What? Impossible, I thought the experiment was a failure-"

"Once again, you fail to realize that I had just suppressed the other types of magic from you so that you would think that the experiment failed. There was no way I would give away my trump card that easily after all"

This time, he was thoroughly incensed and his darker personality started to flow through him, but he suppressed the darker half and calmed down again.

"…Very well. I had originally wanted to make you one of my six prayers, but since you are so intent on defying me, watch the only way to your home be destroyed"

At this point, my eyes widened as he aimed his staff, not at me, but the massive portal like device at the center of the room that was covered in Runes.

This was the very same machine that Brain's predecessor had originally used to pull me from my home and into this new reality.

I immediately used my power as black winds formed a barrier between the beam of energy and the machine while I used black lighting to enhance my body and bolt towards the machine myself.

But I was too late as the beam managed to break through the hastily made barrier and struck the machine, opening an unstable portal.

I did not even have the chance to scream in anger as I was once again sucked into oblivion.

(Third person POV)

A strange portal suddenly opened up above the supernatural center of the country of Japan, Kyoto, as a Human man fell out of it.

Shortly after falling out, strange black winds wrapped around the man as he floated in the air as the portal closed.

The man looked around at the city below him as his eyes widened. With a sudden spike in magic power that caused all the supernatural beings in this city to notice him, he flew at breakneck speeds towards the edge of the town, not noticing a figure wearing ancient clothes, with black wings like a crow and the face of a crow following him from behind.

I flew in the direction of my house the moment I realized where I was, hoping against hope to see my family again although I knew the chances of them accepting him again after 20 years were very low.

As I flew, I saw the first signs of the Himejima estate.

Soon, I passed through the barrier that would stop anyone that is not of the Himejima blood from passing through as I landed in the courtyard.

"Stop! Who are …you…Sojuro-ojisama?"

I grinned widely as I saw the young woman who was only a little kid when I was kidnapped, she in turn stared at me with shock.

"Suzaku! I'm back"

I could help but grin happily as I realized that yes, I had indeed managed to get back home after spending 20 years as a prisoner and tool for a madman.

Suzaku teared up a little as she jumped on me and hugged me like she used to when she was a kid.

"Haha, come on kid, you are not a little girl anymore," I said as he simply let out a soft sob before controlling herself and letting go with a watery smile.

Before we could catch up, I heard footsteps as I sensed magic signatures rapidly approaching our location.

Before long, I was surrounded by the shocked looks of the members of the Himejima clan as the Clan head approached me.

After 20 years, I finally managed to get back to my family, I can't wait to see my sister Shuri.
