So after I finished writing this story, I realized in the show Lois and Clark weren't dating yet but they are in my version of post-Doomsday. I didn't feel like going back and changing it as I already had an ending in mind. Okay, here's chapter 5. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 5

"Lois!" Chloe said, stunned. "What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here? What are you doing here?" Lois asked, eyebrows raised.

"Well, I work here," Chloe said. "And you never answered my question. Are you here to visit me? Because I have a busy day ahead of me. A bomb went off in some cotton factory nearby and fifty people were killed. Maybe we can catch lunch together later."

Lois stomach dropped. Fifty people were killed? Where was the Blur when that happened?

"Chloe, since when did you get your job back at the Daily Planet?" Lois asked.

Chloe laughed. "Lo, you're acting like I quit my dream job. Now why would I do that?"

"Well, for starters, you haven't worked at the Daily Planet since last year," Lois said. "You've been working at the ISIS foundation."

"IS—what?"

"ISIS? You know, the organization Lana started?"

"Lois, I don't know what you're talking about. Ever since I got my internship at the Daily Planet, I've been working here ever since. I don't know what alternate reality you're talking about."

"Is Clark around?" Lois asked.

Chloe blinked. "Who?"

"Clark, your best friend? Always wearing flannels, has a ridiculous cute smile? Big green-blue eyes?"

Chloe just smiled. "It sounds like you're in love."

"Chloe, he's your best friend!" Lois said. "I think I seriously messed things up! He may not be Clark anymore, but he has to be someone else!"

Now Chloe frowned, concerned for her cousin. "Lois, what are you even talking about?"

"I know this is going to sound strange, but I may have just had a little trip to the past," Lois said.

Chloe's eyes widened. "What!"

"I went back to 1989, and now Clark—your best friend, my boyfriend—doesn't even exist! His parents never even adopted him. But he can't just not exist in this timeline."

"Did you do any actions that could have changed the timeline?" Chloe asked.

"So, you believe me, huh?" Lois said.

Chloe nodded. "I grew up in a town full of meteor-powered freaks. There is little I don't believe. Now, you never answered. Did you do anything that could have affected the timeline?"

"Well, I found this little boy wandering off by himself in a cornfield," Lois said. "I sorta brought him back to the future with me."

"Lois! That could have seriously have changed things. Who knows who that boy could've become?" Her eyes widened. "Wait, if Clark no longer exists in this timeline, then that boy must've been Clark!"

Lois' mouth became dry. "No. He doesn't even speak English, Chloe! And he's already three! I know Clark. He knows English."

"Well, maybe he learned."

"Oh god," Lois said, her eyes wide. The realization had just sunk in. "I just brought little Clark to the future."
