The wedding breakfast was lovely. The food couldn't be any more delicious. The fruit and vegetables were nutritious, there were all kinds of meat including chicken, beef, pork and lamb with tasty sauces of all kinds, there were breads of all types, there were cheeses of all types, there were chocolates of all types and there were lovely drinks including wine, champagne and hot chocolate among them. Then, after all that, it was time for dessert which including shortbread biscuits, cupcakes, chocolate cake and ice cream of all flavours. There was plenty for everyone, whether they lived in Arendelle or from other countries and everyone, including myself, really enjoyed it as we all sat down in the royal courtyard as we ate and talked, laughed and joked with each other. And we had lovely music from the Royal Arendelle Band, who sat in the corner.
I sat with my family Benito and Pacay and we shared a table with my brother Patlee, his wife Moana and their daughter Fetia and our demigod friend Maui, who thought this royal wedding was beyond awesome. Tulio was at the royal table where he sat with Miguel, Elsa and Anna. All around us there were tables and seated everyone else.
Then it was time for the speeches. Elsa was the first to stand up. "Ladies and gentlemen. First of all, I just wanted to thank you all for coming. Whether you are live here in Arendelle or in another country, you have helped to make this day very special for me and Prince Miguel here and for Arendelle. I will never be able to thank you all enough for it just like I will never be able to thank Miguel for giving me everything I need in my life: love and support, which he did for years before we got married. I love and trust him completely and will do so till the day I die. Thank you."
As we all applauded her speech, Miguel stood up and kissed Elsa's lips before she sat back down.
"Wow. I hope the speech I give is half as good as Elsa's was."
I didn't think he meant it as a joke, but the people were laughing as if it was and he was cool about it.
"So, anyway. All my life I have dated a lot of women ever since I was old enough to date back in Spain, but I have never met anyone like Elsa. I don't mean her being Queen of Arendelle or her magical snow powers; to me, what's so unique and special about Elsa is how she loves and cares about everyone in front of her. How she gives love and care to her family, friends, her kingdom and our allies. I have made a lot of mistakes and done some regrettable things in my life, but my biggest mistake and regret was leaving her when I left Arendelle. Now that I came back to Arendelle and she came back into my life, I have never been so happy in my life. And I'm looking forward to spending more time with her in the future. Thank you all so much."
Then we all applauded him for his wonderful speech as we saw Elsa hug and kiss him on his lips. It was either Anna's turn or Tulio's turn to do their speech next, but both seemed to be very worried. They got up and spoke together, with a piece of paper in their hands. I got up and ran to them. "Are you guys all right?"
"We've written our best man and maid of honour speeches," Tulio told me. "The only problem we have is that we don't know who should go first."
"And we love Elsa and Miguel so much that we want to make sure our speeches are perfect for their perfect day," Anna said.
"Can I have a quick look at them?" I asked.
They gave me their papers and I read them. They were all very touching, but they were all very similar. I knew that the public was waiting so there wasn't time to rewrite them. Then I had an idea. "Because these speeches sound so similar, why don't you say your speeches together? Not actually your whole piece together, but one person could say one paragraph and the other could say the next. Want to give that a go?"
Tulio and Anna looked at each other and nodded.
"Sure, Chel," Tulio said. "We'll give it a go."
Then I went to sit back down in my seat while Tulio and Anna stood.
"We've decided to do our speeches together, Anna said. "You start, Tulio."
"Okay." Then he cleared his throat. "First of all, thank you all for coming."
"You've helped to make this day very special," Anna said. "As you know, Elsa has always been my sister."
"And Miguel has always been my very best friend since we were very little and the closest thing I've ever had to a brother."
"And we are all very happy that they have found each other and are very happy with each other."
"And we wish them all nothing but love and happiness between them for the rest of their lives."
Everyone applauded at those wonderful speeches.
"Thank you so much," Anna said. She looked like she was about to cry.
So did Tulio. "Excuse us for one minute, please."
Then Tulio and Anna stared to leave very quickly. I got up to run to Miguel and Elsa before they could get out of their seats. I didn't even need to see that they were getting up because I knew they would.
"It's okay, guys," I said to them. "They are just feeling a little bit emotional. They just need some time, that's all."
"Well, if you say so, Chel," Elsa said.
"I promise you guys," I said.
"Well, thanks for telling us, Chel," Miguel said.
Then the bride and groom returned to their seats. As I headed back to my seat, I repeated to everyone what I said to Miguel and Elsa. Then I saw Rika running in the same direction as Tulio and Anna did and I picked her up. "Don't worry about your mama and Uncle Tulio, Rika."
"Then why did they leave, Auntie Chel?" she asked.
"Because they just need a minute," I told her, as I put her back into her seat. "Being a maid of honour and a best man is a lot of hard work. They'll be back soon" Then I went back to my seat.
A few minutes later, Miguel rose. "Who's up for a little dance?"
Everyone approved.
Elsa rose. "And I'm happy to introduce Arendelle's best singer, Hanson Bjorn."
We applauded as we saw the singer Hanson Bjorn join the band. After we got up from our seats, we all danced to the songs he sang such as 16th Century Men, The Panic In Me, Trust Me, My Heart Dances, Hey Armadillo, Someday Out of the Blue and Without Question.
Everyone cheered and got out of their seats and we all started dancing. Even Tulio and Anna joined in the dancing. They seemed to feel better when they returned and they enjoyed the dancing with our families and friends.
"Now, who's up for a little ice and snow?" Elsa asked.
We all were and she used her ice powers to create the courtyard into an ice rink for everyone who wanted to ice skate, which most of the people did. For those who couldn't or didn't want to ice skate, they were busy making snow angels and snowmen and other fun activities you could do in the snow.
After everyone was tired either from dancing or playing in the snow and ice, it was time to cut the wedding cake. We all had a slice and we all enjoyed it.
Soon, it was very late and we all needed to head to bed. Like everyone, I was very tired but happy and it was one of the very best days of my life. I wouldn't have missed this wedding for anything in the world. And I had been to a lot of weddings during my life, but I have never been to one as successful or special as this one. To me, it wasn't special because it was a royal wedding, but because two of my very best friends were getting married.
