Chapter 2: Heartless Over The Sea Of Clouds
Back in Destiny Islands, Sora watches in shock, as he watches the Subspace engulf the whole stadium.
Sora: The world is in danger! I gotta do something!
Suddenly, a key-like blade with a silver blade, a golden handle, and a silver keychain that looks like a mouse appears in his hand.
Sora: The Keyblade! But if only I could get to that world.
Suddenly, he hears a voice.
Go now...The world is in danger.
Sora: I know. But I don't know how to get there.
Suddenly, a white door appears in the room.
This door will take you to the world...Go now and save it.
Sora: Right!
He ran up to the door and opens it. He turns around, closes his eyes, and falls back. He fell through the clouds and lands safely on a rock in the clouds. He was in the Sea of Clouds. He hears a noise and turns around to see the Egg Carrier heading his way.
Sora: Man, looks like I was just in time for the party.
The battleship drops it's liquid again, creating more Heartless. Sora got into his stance.
Sora: Heartless! I know just what to do!
The Heartless are the Shadow Heartless. Sora uses his Keyblade to slash at many of the Heartless, taking them out. He then proceeds to the next area, where he encounters more Shadows and Surveillance Robots. He uses Firaga to shoot fireballs at the Heartless, burning them. He then proceeds to the next area, where he got attacked by a blue knight Heartless carrying a big shield with a face on it called a Defender.
Sora: I know about you. You're the Heartless from Hollow Bastion. This should be easy.
The Defender uses it's shield to bite Sora, but he dodges it's attack. He activates his Valor Form to turn his clothes red and carry two Keyblades called Oathkeeper and Oblivion. He rapidly slashes at the Heartless with his two Keyblades, taking it out. He reverts back to normal and proceeds to the next area. He looks around and saw something in the cloud. It was a trophy, but he recognizes it.
Sora: It's Sonic!
He walks over to Sonic and looks down at him. He remembers what Sonic did to revive Megaman.
Sora: I wonder...
He touches the stand and the Sonic trophy glows. Sonic was revived on his knees and looked up.
Sonic: Where am I? The last thing I remembered is being knocked out by a cannonball.
He got up and looks at Sora.
Sonic: Thanks for rescuing me, Sora. Can you tell me what happened?
Sora explains to him everything he needs to know.
Sonic: I see...So Megaman and Amy escaped, while Tifa was kidnapped by Dracula. I hate to explain this to Cloud. Anyway, we should go after the Egg Carrier and stop Shadow.
Sora: I agree. Let's go!
Sonic and Sora jumps across some stone platforms, as they encountered more Heartless. They encountered some yellow mage-like Heartless called Yellow Operas. They used Thunder to summon lightning to attack Sonic and Sora, but they easily dodged their attacks. Sonic uses Sonic Wave to roll into a ball to create shockwaves at the Yellow Operas, taking them out. Sonic and Sora then jumps down a very long pit and lands on a moving cloud that takes them to a giant spinning wheel with four platforms. They jumped across the platforms and went to the next area, where they encountered more Yellow Operas, Surveillance Robots, and Soldier Heartless. Sonic uses Lightspeed Attack to charge up energy with his Spin Dash and flew around the area, taking out all the Heartless. Sonic and Sora proceeds to the next area, where the floor is moving up and down. They jumped over the moving floors and proceed to the next area, where they got ambushed by more Shadow Heartless, Soldier Heartless, and Surveillance Robots.
Sonic: It's an ambush! Let's take them out!
Sonic uses Fire Somersault to do flaming somersaults on the Shadow Heartless, while Sora uses Sonic Blade to dash attack the Soldier Heartless and Surveillance Robots with his Keyblade. After taking out all the Heartless, a golden angelic Heartless called an Angel Star appears.
Sora: Another boss for this area! I remember this one from the End of the World!
Sonic: Stand back, Sora! I'll take care of this!
The Angel Star fires light energy spheres at Sonic and Sora, but they easily dodged it's attack. Sonic uses his Chaos Emerald to increase his powers and uses Homing Attack on the Angel Star, taking it out. Sonic and Sora proceeds to the next area, where they saw the Egg Carrier getting away.
Sora: Darn it! Now what?
Sonic saw a gray starfighter called a Longsword-Class Interceptor flying across them and heading towards the battleship.
Sonic: Well, it looks like help is on the way.
Sora: Do you know that fighter, Sonic?
Sonic: No, but I have a feeling it's on our side.
Sora: Good. We'll leave the battleship to him. We have to find Shadow. Let's keep climbing down until we get back onto the ground.
They both agreed and jumped down from the sky. Meanwhile, Megaman and Amy were riding on Rush, who was still flying through the sky. Amy held on tight to Megaman.
Amy: Megaman, are you sure the Egg Carrier is this way?
Megaman: I think so. Why do you ask?
Amy turns around and gasps.
Amy: Because it's right behind us!
And so it is. The battleship has been following them. They bumped onto the deck of the ship and land on it.
Megaman: OK. I was sidetracked.
Amy: We might as well look for Tifa.
Megaman looks up the sky.
Megaman: Look up there!
The Longsword Interceptor was heading their way. The Egg Carrier opens fire with laser bullets, but the starfighter dodges them all.
Megaman: I think that fighter is on our side.
Amy saw that the battleship fires it's grappling hook.
Amy: LOOK OUT, MR. STARFIGHTER!
The hook went through the Longsword Interceptor and it fell onto the docking bay, where Megaman and Amy are.
Megaman: JUMP!
Megaman and Amy leaps off the battleship and fell down through the clouds. The Longsword Interceptor fell somewhere else. The Egg Carrier flew away. Meanwhile, Megaman and Amy found themselves on the Sea of Clouds.
Amy: That was really close.
Megaman: We better climb down to the ground.
Megaman and Amy made their way down the Sea of Clouds. Along the way, they encountered some Shadow Heartless, Soldier Heartless, and Yellow Operas. Amy uses her Piko Piko Hammer on the Shadow and Soldier Heartless, while Megaman uses Shadow Blade to throw shurikens at the Yellow Operas. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next area. Along the way, they encountered a white Heartless wearing a red mushroom-like cap called a White Mushroom.
Amy: What kinda Heartless is that?
Megaman: I don't know. It might have something good if we take it out.
The White Mushroom saw them and starts running away. Megaman uses Quick Boomerang to throw really fast boomerangs at the Heartless, taking it out. It drops an E-Tank which Amy grabs. Megaman and Amy proceeds to the next area, where they encountered some flying Heartless wearing a brown pilot helmet and wings called Air Soldiers and a blue car Heartless with teeth called a Hot Rod.
Amy: What are those Heartless?
Megaman: I don't know. But we better take them out.
The Air Soldiers use their axe kicks on Megaman and Amy, while the Hot Rod charges at them, but Megaman and Amy easily dodges their attacks. Amy uses Pink Typhoon to spin her Piko Piko Hammer around to create tornadoes to attack the Air Soldiers, while Megaman uses Hard Knuckle on the Hot Rod. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next area, taking out more White Mushrooms along the way. They soon made their way to a rocky mountain area.
Amy: That was strange. Weren't we just on the clouds awhile ago?
They then encountered some Surveillance Robots along the way. Megaman uses Magnet Missiles to fire magnet-like missiles at the Heartless, taking them out. Megaman and Amy then jumps down a cave, where a Dark Portal appears.
Amy: What is that portal? It looks very evil.
Suddenly, alot of small cat-like Heartless inside pots called Popcats appeared.
Megaman: Alot more Heartless! We better take them out!
The Popcats slashed at Megaman and Amy, but they easily dodged their attacks. Amy uses Hammer Spin Attack to spin her Piko Piko Hammer around the Popcats, taking them out. Megaman uses Spark Shot to fire an electric ball at the Dark Portal, destroying it. Suddenly, a giant boulder appears.
Amy: Oh no! A giant boulder!
Megaman: We better get outta here!
Megaman and Amy quickly ran away from the boulder, as it rolls after them. They jumped down another hole and encountered another Dark Portal, where alot more Popcats and Yellow Operas came out. Amy uses Pink Typhoon on the Popcats and Yellow Operas, while Megaman uses Hyper Bomb to throw a bomb at the Dark Portal. After destroying the portal and Heartless, another giant boulder appears.
Amy: Great! Just what we need! Another giant boulder!
Megaman and Amy quickly ran away from the boulder chasing them. They avoided the Air Soldiers, who were about to attack them, as the boulder crushed the Heartless instead. When they jumped over the pit, which the boulder fell into, a Defender attacks.
Megaman: It looks like we have a boss here!
Amy: Let me take care of it, Megaman!
The Defender fires an icy breath from it's shield at Megaman and Amy, but they easily dodged it's attack. Amy uses Storming Heart to create a pink tornado around the Heartless, destroying it. Megaman and Amy got out of the cave and found themselves in an open field.
Megaman: We're finally outta that cave.
Amy: Now we need to find Sonic and save Tifa.
Megaman and Amy starts heading out to the field. Meanwhile, in a dream, Dracula is seen carrying Tifa away. She was screaming for help. When the dream ends, a young man with spiky blonde hair, wears a black sleeveless shirt, black pants, and black cloths around his left arm and pants got up shocked. He looks around the forest he was in. He shook his head.
Man: Boy. That was a dream. But I can feel Tifa in trouble again. I better go save her.
He got up and walks away.
