Chapter 11: The Rampage Of Kurt Zisa
Racing across the Gallopolis Desert is a giant golden Heartless with a cobra head and six arms called Kurt Zisa. Watching from the hillside are Simon, Zero, and Lloyd.
Simon: What is that Heartless doing?
Lloyd: Only one way to find out.
Lloyd jumps down the cliff.
Simon: Lloyd, wait!
Zero: Lloyd is right. Come on, Simon.
Zero leaps after Lloyd.
Simon: Oh boy.
Simon leaps after them. As the gang starts chasing Kurt Zisa, they got attacked by some Bouncywilds, Hook Bats, and Bolt Towers. Simon whips his Vampire Killer at the Bouncywilds, Zero uses Mikazukizan to do an earth-element Kuuenzan on the Hook Bats, while Lloyd uses Super Sonic Thrust to thrust the Bolt Towers with his Material Blades. They took out the Heartless and proceed to the next area. As the gang jumps down the platforms by the cliff, they fought off some more Bouncywilds, Hook Bats, Bookmasters, and Darkballs. Simon threw his Battle Axes at the Hook Bats and Bookmasters, while Zero uses Hyouretsuzan to do downward icy stabs on the Bouncywilds and Darkballs. They took out the Heartless and went through a tunnel, where they got attacked by Magnum Loaders.
Zero: Now we got more enemies here.
Lloyd uses Sword Rain: Beta to rapidly slash the Magnum Loaders with his Material Blades, taking them out. The gang made it out of the tunnel, where they encountered more Hook Bats and Bouncywilds. Simon threw his Cross Boomerangs at the Heartless, taking them out. The gang proceeds forward, avoiding the Quark Mines along the way. As they climbed up the platforms leading up to a cliff, they encountered more Bookmasters. Zero uses Hayate to do afterimage dash attacks on the Bookmasters, taking them out. When the gang reaches the top of the cliff, they encountered a giant metal Heartless with an axe called a Metal Troll.
Simon: What is that Heartless?
Lloyd: It's a Metal Troll. It's a very powerful Heartless. Watch out for it's giant axe.
The Metal Troll slams it's axe at the gang, but they easily dodged it's attack. Simon uses Thousand Edge to throw a barrage of daggers at the Metal Troll, Zero uses Rakuhouha to punch the ground and spread out giant energy bullets, while Lloyd uses Rising Phoenix to jump up and charge at the Heartless like a fireball. After taking out the Metal Troll, the gang jumps down the cliff and made their way to the next area, where they encountered some Popcats, Rapid Thrusters, and Hot Rods. There are also floors going up and down. Simon threw his Gold Daggers at the Popcats, Lloyd uses Twin Tiger Blade to do upward and downward slashes on the Rapid Thrusters, while Zero uses Danchien to do downward flaming stabs on the Hot Rods. They took out the Heartless and proceed to the next area. As they started jumping down the platforms by the cliff, some boulders fell from the sky.
Simon: There are boulders falling from the sky? This is a really weird desert.
As the gang jumps down the platforms, they take out some Shadow Heartless along the way. When they reached the bottom, they encountered much larger Shadow Heartless called Mega Shadows. Simon threw his Holy Water on the Mega Shadows, taking them out. The gang proceeds through a tunnel, where they encountered some Minute Bombs. Lloyd uses Demonic Chaos on the Minute Bombs, taking them out. The gang made it to the end of the tunnel and came across a Barrel Cannon.
Lloyd: OK...We have boulders falling from the sky and now floating barrels.
Zero: Maybe if we jump into the barrel, it will launch us to those other barrels.
Zero points to the other barrels throughout the canyon. The gang jumps inside the barrel and it launches them through a series of other barrels throughout the canyon. When they made it to the other side of the canyon, they came upon Kurt Zisa.
Lloyd: Now we gotta find out what that Heartless is doing.
Kurt Zisa stood up and pulls out it's two giant scimitars and got in it's fighting stance.
Zero: Man, he's big!
Simon: But we can't stop!
Simon, Zero, and Lloyd held up their weapons. Simon uses his Flame Whip on the Heartless, doing some damage to it. Kurt Zisa does a Spin Attack with it's swords at Simon, doing some damage to him. Zero uses Raijinshou to spin upward to create an electric tornado on the Heartless, doing some more damage to it. Kurt Zisa creates sand tornadoes to attack Zero, doing some damage to him. Lloyd uses Omega Tempest on the Heartless, doing some more damage to it. Kurt Zisa summons magic orbs to attack Lloyd, doing some damage to him.
Zero: It's no good! He is too powerful!
Lloyd: Then we'll have to use our most powerful attacks!
Simon uses Grand Cross to summon giant crosses flying upward to attack Kurt Zisa, Zero uses Genmu Zero to fire multiple sword waves, while Lloyd uses Falcon Crest to merge his Material Blades into one big sword called the Eternal Sword and delivers a powerful jump attack. All of the attacks did alot of damage to Kurt Zisa. The Heartless fell on it's knee.
Simon: Did we defeat it?
Kurt Zisa stood back up and roars. It leaps away from them and lands onto the same place where Klonoa and Hero 8 defeated Dracula. The floor gave weight and the Heartless fell through. Simon, Zero, and Lloyd went to check to see it was gone.
Zero: I hope no one is down there.
But there is someone down there. Down in the hole, Klonoa and Hero 8 looks up to see something falling down. It crashes into the ground, making Klonoa and Hero 8 fall back.
Klonoa: What was that?
Kurt Zisa rises from the dust and roars and slams it's hands on the ground. Klonoa and Hero 8 got up.
Hero 8: I don't know. But it looks like it came for us!
Klonoa: We won't let it!
Hero 8 summons the Garuda to battle. Klonoa uses his Chaos Emerald to increase his powers. Klonoa uses his Wind Sword on the Heartless, doing some damage to it. Kurt Zisa summons magic orbs to attack Klonoa, doing some damage to him. Hero 8 uses Flame Slash on the Heartless, doing some more damage to it. Kurt Zisa does a Spin Attack on Hero 8, doing some damage to him. Garuda uses Sizzle on the Heartless, doing some more damage to it. Kurt Zisa summons sand tornadoes on the Garuda, doing some damage to it. Klonoa uses Thunder Hurricane to spin his body and create lightning to attack the Heartless, doing alot of damage to it. Kurt Zisa fell on it's knee again. Hero 8 calls back his Garuda.
Klonoa: Is it over?
Suddenly, Kurt Zisa stood back up and grabs Klonoa and Hero 8 and out of it's chest is a Subspace Bomb. It shows 00:15 on the timer.
Hero 8: That Heartless is also a Subspace Bomb!
Kurt Zisa flew up and flew out of the hole with them in hand. Simon, Zero, and Lloyd gasps when they saw this.
Lloyd: Those poor kids!
Simon: We gotta save them!
Hero 8 was knocked out. Klonoa decides to do one thing.
Klonoa: Let's hope this works. WIND BULLET!
He fires an energy sphere from his Wind Ring to hit the arm, causing it to break, and sending him and Hero 8 falling towards the ground. Kurt Zisa's bomb reaches zero and explodes into Subspace. As Klonoa grabs hold of Hero 8 and was about to hit the ground...
?: I got you!
Zero flew down and grabs both of them and flew away to safety. The whole Gallopolis Ruins was engulfed in Subspace, taking the Dracula trophy with it. Zero takes the boys to Simon and Lloyd. Hero 8 regains his senses.
Klonoa: Thanks for saving us, guys. We owe you one.
Simon: Good thing you're both still alive. You could have gotten yourselves killed.
Klonoa held out his hand to Hero 8.
Klonoa: Hero 8, are you OK?
Hero 8 smiles and shook his hand.
Hero 8: Yeah. Thanks, Klonoa.
He looks up to Simon and Lloyd.
Hero 8: Simon, Lloyd, I'm sorry. Chrono sacrificed his life for me when Dracula tried to turn me into a trophy.
Simon looks sadden, but he pats Hero 8 on the head.
Simon: It's OK. We'll save Chrono if we take care of the Subspace Army.
Klonoa: By the way, me and Hero 8 has brought this from the ruins.
He pulls out the Chaos Emerald.
Lloyd: The Chaos Emerald! That could be very useful. We could use your help.
Klonoa and Hero 8 nods, as the gang watches the Subspace from a safe distance.
That's it for chapter 11. Now Klonoa's group has teamed up with Simon's group. Next time, Sonic and Cloud's group will chase Shadow in the Gallopolis Desert and we return to Angel Island with Tails and Master Chief.
