Chapter 13: X Reclaims His Ultimate Armor
In the secret lab, X and Spyro are running down a dark hallway. Along the way, they encountered some Armor Soldiers. X uses Electric Spark to fire electric balls at the Armor Soldiers, taking them out. He and Spyro then came across a button and press it, turning the lights on across the hallway.
Spyro: Now we can see better.
As they continued down the hallway, they encountered more Gunvolts and blue versions of Yellow Operas and Red Nocturnes called Blue Rhapsodies. The Blue Rhapsodies used Blizzard to shoot ice balls at X and Spyro, but they easily dodged their attacks. Spyro uses his Fire Breath to burn the Gunvolts and Blue Rhapsodies, taking them out. He and X proceeds to what looks like a red wall. When the room goes dark again, the wall opens up.
X: So that switch we pressed earlier not only lights up the room, it also opens and closes up walls.
They went past the red wall and came across another red wall and a switch in front of it. They pressed the switch to light up the hallway and open up the red wall. They jumped across the platform and waited for another wall to open up until the hallway goes dark again, allowing it to open. They went past the red wall and jump on some platforms to the next area, where they encountered some Luna Bandits, Blue Rhapsodies, and Magnum Loaders. X uses Speed Burner to shoot duo fireballs at the Luna Bandits and Blue Rhapsodies, while Spyro uses his Electric Breath to zap the Magnum Loaders. They took out the enemies and press the button to light up the hallway again, revealing a ladder.
Spyro: There's a ladder. Let's climb down there.
They climbed down the ladder and entered the door to another hallway, where they encountered more Armor Soldiers, Gunvolts, and Hook Bats. X uses Gravity Well to fire gravity spheres to destroy the Armor Soldiers and Gunvolts and suck up their parts, while Spyro uses his Ice Breath to freeze the Hook Bats. They took out the enemies and proceed to the next room. They found the Ultimate Armor in the tube and cross the bridge and arrive in front of it.
X: There it is. My Ultimate Armor.
Spyro: Now we need to take it and get out.
Suddenly, the bridge starts to close in.
X: Oh no! The bridge is going away!
Spyro hears footsteps.
Spyro: What was that?
He and X turns to see two dark versions of X wearing their Ultimate Armors. They are the Dark Megamen X.
X: Dark X! Just Great! Spyro, you take on that one, while I take on the other one.
Spyro: Right!
A two-on-two battle begins. X uses Double Cyclone to throw two balls of wind at the two Dark X, doing some damage to them. Dark X 1 uses Super Speed Burner to charge at X in a fireball, doing alot of damage to him. Spyro uses Horn Charge on Dark X 2, doing some damage to him. Dark X 2 uses Super Storm Tornado to create a giant tornado to suck Spyro in, doing alot of damage to him. X uses Ice Burst to fire ice blocks at Dark X 1, doing some more damage to him. Dark X 1 uses Super Tornado Fang to charge at X with his drill, doing alot more damage to him. Spyro uses his Dragon Kata Martial Arts to attack Dark X 2 with his horns, claws, and tails, doing some more damage to him. Dark X 2 uses Super Triad Thunder to punch his fist into the ground to create electric shockwaves, doing alot more damage to Spyro.
Spyro: It's no good! They're too strong!
X: Then we'll have to work together to defeat them!
As the two Dark X were about to attack X and Spyro together, X uses Dark Hold to freeze time. He and Spyro then combines their Super X-Buster and Super Fire Breath into one attack and they both hit the two Dark X, destroying them.
Spyro: We did it!
X walks up to his Ultimate Armor.
X: OK. Gotta break this tube open and-
Spyro: X, the bridge is coming back!
The bridge returns and alot of Armor Soldiers appeared, trying to attack them. Then an explosion appears and the Armor Soldiers were wiped out. X, now wearing his Ultimate Armor, emerges from the smoke with Spyro in tow.
X: Are you ready, Spyro?
Spyro: I'm ready, X. Let's go!
As they left the room and start walking down the hallway, they encountered more Armor Soldiers and Gunvolts. X uses Double X-Buster to fire two Super X-Busters at the Mavericks, taking them out. He and Spyro proceeds to the next area, where they saw platforms moving up and down towards the spike floor and ceiling.
Spyro: There are platforms moving up and down to the spike floor and ceiling. How are we gonna cross over them safely?
X: There are buttons on the sides of the platforms. I'll take care of them.
X fires his X-Buster at the buttons, making them stop in midair. He and Spyro jumps over the platforms to reach the next area, where they encountered some Gunvolts and Mega Tortoises. X uses Homing Torpedoes to fire homing missiles at the Mavericks, taking them out. He and Spyro proceeds to the next room, which looks like a maze.
Spyro: This room looks like a maze. We must be careful, or we could get lost.
X pressed a button in the room and a platform on a rail appears. They jumped on the platform and it takes them to an upper floor. They jumped off the platform into a small hallway, where there is a blue cannon Heartless called a Cannon Gun. The Heartless fires bombs at X and Spyro, but they easily dodged it's attack. Spyro uses his Fire Breath to burn the Cannon Gun. He and X proceeds to climb up a ladder and it takes them to a button. They pressed the button and some more platforms appeared on the rails. They jumped on one of the platforms and it takes them to the next area, where they got ambushed by more Armor Soldiers, Gunvolts, Mega Tortoises, Devastators, and Cannon Guns.
X: Alot more Mavericks and Heartless! Let's take them out!
X uses Sonic Slicer and Frost Shield to fire energy blades and ice spears at the Mavericks, while Spyro uses his Super Charge to do a more powerful Horn Charge on the Heartless. They took out all the enemies and press the button to make another platform on a rail appear. They jumped on the platform and it starts moving downward along the rail. They jumped along the series of platforms on the rails, taking out the Cannon Guns along the way, until they reached a door at the end of the hallway. They jumped off the platform and entered the door, where it takes them to another room with two teleporters. One is on the platform, while the other is on the floor.
Spyro: I wonder which teleporter we should use.
X: I think we should go with that one there.
They went to the teleporter on the floor and it takes them to a room, where they got ambushed by an Angel Star and some Bouncywilds. X uses Wing Spiral to do a tornado uppercut on the Angel Star, while Spyro uses his Ice Breath to freeze the Bouncywilds. They took out the Heartless and use another teleporter to take them to another room with some springs. They jumped on some springs and they take them to another teleporter, which they entered to get to another room with a moving platform and two teleporters.
Spyro: Well, there's two more teleporters. Which one should we use?
X: We should use the one at the end of the room.
They jumped on the moving platform and jumped over the teleporter on the tall platform and went into the floating teleporter. It takes them to a room with a button. They pressed the button and it opens the door in the first teleporter room. They returned to the moving platform room and used the teleporter on the platform to take them to another room, where they fell down a pit and got attacked by some Blue Rhapsodies. X uses Magma Blade to swing a flaming blade to shoot fireballs at the Blue Rhapsodies, taking them out. He and Spyro uses the teleporter to take them back to the main room.
Spyro: Weren't we here a few minutes ago?
X: Yeah, but now there's another door we can use to get outta here.
They entered the door and came upon a huge room with a platform. They walked into the center.
X: Well, it's a little too quiet here.
Spyro: Be careful. This room could be a trap.
Suddenly, something caught X. He looks up to see a bald Reploid with blue eyes, wearing green armor, white gloves, black pants, and brown boots.
X: SIGMA!
Sigma jumps diagonally from wall to wall, as he smashes X into the walls. Spyro flew after them and uses his Super Electric Breath to shoot an electric ball to zap Sigma, causing him and X to fall back down onto the platform. X bends on one knee.
X: Thank you, Spyro. Now we're even.
Spyro nods and they turned around to face Sigma.
X: How did you come back, Sigma? I thought I defeated you for good!
Sigma: I was brought back to life by Sephiroth. Now he has given me orders to take you two out.
X: Spyro, we're gonna need to work together to defeat him!
Spyro: Right!
X uses Cross Charge Shot to fire a Super X-Buster with four energy bullets on the sides at Sigma, doing alot of damage to him. Sigma uses his Sigma Saber to slash X, doing alot of damage to him. Spyro uses his Super Charge on Sigma, doing alot more damage to him. Sigma uses Electromagnetic Wave to fire a wall of electricity at Spyro, doing alot of damage to him. X uses Super Electric Spark to fire a wall of electricity at Sigma, doing alot more damage to him. Sigma uses Shield Throw to throw his shield like a boomerang at X, doing alot of damage to him. Spyro uses Super Ice Breath to shoot an ice ball to freeze Sigma, doing alot more damage to him. Sigma uses Rapid Fire Bullets to shoot fireballs from his arm cannon at Spyro, doing alot of damage to him.
Spyro: Man! No matter how much damage we give him, he keeps coming back!
X: Let me finish him, Spyro! I know how to defeat him!
X uses Nova Strike to charge his body with energy and does a powerful tackle on Sigma, doing alot of damage to him. Sigma was defeated, fell off the platform, and explodes.
Sigma: You haven't seen the last of me, X! I'll be back!
X then saw a glowing object on the ground. He walks up to it and saw a purple Chaos Emerald.
X: A Chaos Emerald! This could come in handy for later.
He picks up the Chaos Emerald and he and Spyro walks out to a door and they came across a small garden with some ruins.
Spyro: What is this place? It's beautiful.
X then see some Armor Soldiers carrying some Subspace Bombs from another part of the factory.
X: I think I know where we should go. Ready, Spyro?
Spyro: I'm as ready as you are!
They ran into the factory.
