Chapter 4: Genin Greens Land of Waves
"Ready, three two one go," Kurenai yelled as the two targets glowed on her left arm and back. Her team instantly jumped into the forest and Kiba was the first to attack "fang over fang!" The Inazuka yelled as a spinning Kiba and Akamaru rushed at Kurenai attempting to hit her back. The female jonin jumped over the Inazuka and puts a genjutsu on Kiba. Kiba watched as the jonin stabbed Akamaru to death and walks over to him to be ready to kill him. Kiba was in too much shock but because of it, he bumped into a tree at high speed and the pain snapped him out. He jumped back and looked at Akamaru. Thank god that was a genjutsu Kiba thought as he saw Shino and went over to him. "Shino why haven't you attacked Kiba asked and he got a reply. "Kurenai sensei is a jonin she can beat us using everything if we work together we have a higher chance of winning. Kiba thought about it and it did make sense.
"Wow, you silent but smart types are great at observation." Kiba said as Shino nodded and asked the dog boy "Kiba can you sniff out Sakura?" Kiba nodded and sniffed the air," he almost passed out as the girl smelled like perfume, but it wasn't a spray of perfume it was like she showered in it Kiba didn't focus on Sakura's smell until now and he regrets it greatly. "N-north 235 degrees." The dog boy said in great pain.
Shino pick Kiba up and they headed in Sakura's direction it took about 5 minutes for them and once they arrive you could see her looking at a picture of Sasuke salivating with lust. "Sakura are you going to look at Sasuke or are you going to pass this test?" Kiba asked snaping the bubblegum princess, kunoichi if you could call her a kunoichi out of her thoughts. Sakura blushed and turned to her two teammates. "Y-yea let go," Sakura said shyly. "Like I told Kiba we should work together since we are mere genin and Kunenai is a jonin," Shino suggested and Sakura nodded to fluster to deny.
"Sakura, you throw weapons while I hide my bugs in Kiba's fang over fang to drain Kurenai sensei's chakra, and get the two points," Shino explains and the group nodded. A minute passed before Sakura threw a set of 5 kunai all hitting their mark surprisingly. While Kurenai was dodging the kunai Kiba sent a fang over fang that almost hit Kurenai before Shino's bug got onto the female jonin and got the two targets. Kurenai noticed this and started to clap. "Good job team it's good that you put away your differences for the mission." Kurenai praised the team and they came out of hiding."Since you passed the true genin exams meet me here tomorrow at 8:00 in the morning and we will start training and doing missions," The new sensei of team eight explained.
With team ten Asuma was sitting on a rock and got up only to be trapped by a shadow. Choji rushed in and try to punch Asuma but the jonin broke out of the shadow and jumped away. Ino was stubborn as she was complaining that she wasn't with Sasuke and wouldn't be working together with "those two." Choji was into the idea of working together and after a long time of convincing Ino agreed. Asuma landed as the mind transfer jutsu was cast on him. Ino yelled as loud as she could and Kick Asuma out of his mind and she was in control. "Guys it is me I am in Asuma's body now if you lightly punch me and I punch myself we win," Ino told the group.
The group all lightly punched the genin that was in control of the jonin's body. After that was over Asuma got up and kicked Ino out of his mind and realized that his team beat him. "Good job team you put aside differences and work together. Your teamwork reminds me of the Ino-Shika-Cho formation and I hope you can surpass your parents." Asuma praised and the team let their guard down. "Right I will report to dad about your passing and you're dismissed see you tomorrow at 9:00," Asuma said to his team and walked off.
At the Hokage's tower, all of the jonins that took teams were assembled. "Walk up if your team passed," one Hiruzen Sarutobi said as three jonins walked up. Hiruzen wasn't surprised that Kakashi's team passed but wanted to hear Kurenai and Asuma. "Wait, Kakashi passed a team this has to be a bad omen." Asuma joked and Hiruzen chuckled. "I assigned a team that I was confident to pass the bell test that I created but I want to hear Kurenai first since she had a civilian child on her team," Hiruzen replied, and after Kurenai debriefed the test she put her team through It was Asuma's turn "Dad my team passed like any other Ino-Shika-Cho team they used their clans jutsu to get me trapped in a corner so I would lose, their teamwork is strong as expected and they have potential," Asuma told his father and he dismissed everyone except Kakashi.
"Kakashi I know you saw the sparring and training your team has done and so I will allow your team to do missions that most jonin will do," Hiruzen told the copy nin and he nodded. "I want them to have a bit of field experience so I will start them on two D-rank followed by a C-rank. Then B-ranks and A-ranks," Kakashi replied and Hiruzen nodded.
Kakashi was dismissed and shunshined to his team who was just finishing taijutsu spar. "I see that you all were busy tomorrow we will get our first mission," Kakashi explained and they nodded. "Don't think it will be a b or A-rank mission we are starting with D-ranks and maybe a C-rank," Kakashi told his team and dismissed them.
The next day Kakashi arrives at the training ground to see mayhem. Trees scattered around the training ground and mud walls were everywhere. Kakashi sweatdropped and called for his team. They walked up and smiled way too innocently for Kakashi good and Kakashi greeted them with "hello team let's go to the tower to get our first mission." The group hopped from rooftops to the Hokage tower and all entered through the window making Hiruzen quite annoyed that Kakashi's students were picking up on his habits. "Can my team have two D-ranks Hokage Sama?" Kakashi said with an eye smile and Hiruzen nodded. He gave Kakashi two scrolls and the genin team got to work.
All of Kakashi's team made two sets of shadow clones and headed for the missions. About an hour later the clones dispelled and one brought back both scrolled signed. they walked to the Hokage tower and handed in the scrolls while getting another mission this time a C-rank. When Kakashi looked at the scroll it was an escort mission to wave. Shortly after Tazuna walked in and started to patronize the brat until some ki shut him up. "Ok team meet me at the front gate in two hours," Kakashi told his new team and shunshined away. Naruto made his way to the gate with his teammates and like usual their sensei was late. After two extra hours, Kakashi arrived, and Tazuna was very paranoid.
"Ok team we will be taking a diamond formation around Tazuna with Naruto and Sasuke by his side and Hinata in the back using her Byakugan to scout and look for a threat while I am in front," Kakashi explained and his team followed their sensei's order. They walked out of the gates and when the eternal gate guards saw Kakashi's team they paled. "Team seven leaving for C-rank mission, "Kakashi explained and Izumo nodded while Kotetsu pass the sign-out book for permission to leave the village. All except Tazuna signed their name and they're off.
Since they were transporting a civilian they were walking as most civilians couldn't run for long periods. About an hour in Hinata activated her dojutsu and saw two chunin-level chakra signatures. They looked like Kiri shinobi and they were also rouge ones. Hinata told her team in anbu hand sign signaling an attack was to come.
After three hours of walking toward the land of waves team seven encountered a puddle. Strange a hot day like this there wouldn't be a puddle all of team seven thought. The team walked past the puddle guard up in case an attack would happen and like magic it did.
Two figures appeared the demon brothers rushed toward Kakashi. A chain connected the brothers and they ran around Kakashi and trapped him then pulled. Kakashi made a basic substitution with a genjutsu to make it look like he was ripped apart. "One down, "both brothers said as they rushed toward the others in the group. Sasuke quickly ran at the two and sliced the chain that held them together.
Sasuke threw a tri-pronged kunai and Naruto quickly decapitated both Chunin in less than half a second. Hinata scanned the area to see Zabuza Momochi and his associate. "Kakashi come out we know you're hiding and Zabuza is ahead," Hinata said, and Kakashi's eyes widen to dinner plates.
Kakashi pulled Tazuna to the side and said "why did you lie about the mission? This is now an A-rank mission your lucky my team is all jonin level because you need jonin level shinobi to complete one of these without death." Kakashi was yelling at the end and spewing killing intent. "I have my re-reasons you know Gato he has drained wave of all their worth and we can't get better protection," Tazuna said scared to the bone.
Kakashi walked out and said, "this is now an A-rank mission so be on guard." His squad nodded and they continue. They made camp and rested for the night. The next day the group continued the trip when Naruto grab a kunai and threw it into a nearby bush. The kunai land nearly killed a white rabbit. Kakashi looked at the rabbit and thought strange it isn't winter so rabbits of this kind are uncommon unless it's a substitution. "Get down!" Kakashi yelled and dragged Tazuna down and his students followed. A sword that was at least 7 feet in length launched at the group and was about to decapitate the team.
Suddenly you can see a man with cow pants and didn't. "The demon of the mist Zabuza Momochi," Kakashi said and Zabuza declared "Kakashi Hatake or Kakashi of the Sharingan formerly known as friend killer Kakashi hand over the bridge builder and I will let you and your team live." "Did you say something," Kakashi said as if he was bored out of his mind. "Oh fighting without your partner" Kakashi mocked and this caught the demon the most off guard. How do you know about Haku?" Zabuza demanded an answer.
"One of my genin is a Hyuga." Kakashi bluntly said. Haku jump down as he was caught. Kakashi jumped back which cause Zabuza to throw an insult, "Running, you're a coward Kakashi," Zabuza mocked. "No my students will be taking this they need some field experience," Kakashi explains as the three walked up in their stances. Zabuza was confused, how could the copy nin send his genins to fight two jonin level ninjas one close to kage level. "Sasuke, you and Hinata deal with Haku I will take Zabuza," Naruto announce loud enough for all to hear. Zabuza thought that his kid was crazy he was just a genin after all. Both nodded and after a quick breeze, it signaled the start of the battle. Zabuza took out his blade and Naruto took out a kunai.
"Wind blade," Naruto whispered and a white chakra blade extended and formed a blade. Zabuza was intrigued at the blade but pay no matter and rushed at the blonde at high jonin level speeds. Zabuza sent a slash from above which Naruto parried with one hand which surprised the missing-nin. Naruto swiped the giant cleaver from above him and went for a slash to the hip. Zabuza jumped back and landed on the water. "Impressive, to block one of my attacks when I am going as fast as I can, impressive." Zabuza complimented.
"Thank you, Zabuza, "Naruto accepted the praise and got into a different stance. Zabuza had finished a set of hand seals."Kirigakure no jutsu" Zabuza whispered and a thick mist covered the area the blonde stood. Naruto quickly reacted but had to hear Zabuza's monologue. "eight-point, the larynx, the spine, the lung, the liver, the jugular, and the subclavian vein, the kidney, and the heart. If I hit you in one of these points you die." Zabuza said while Naruto released chakra from his body to thin out the mist.
Suddenly Zabuza appeared behind Naruto and slashed. Naruto poofed into smoke and try to grab Zabuza's feet with the head hunter jutsu. The mist nin jumped upward into the air and went for a slash which the boy just vanish from when the blade was about to make contact. Where is the Zabuza thought when he felt sharp metal touch his throat? Naruto got behind the nin who was still in the air. Zabuza went to kick the young boy back and attempted to stab him.
Suddenly in a yellow flash, he was gone. Wait that's the fourth jutsu the jutsu that kills over 1000 men from Iwa in less than 5 seconds. As the thought of how a boy obtained such a jutsu got into Zabuza, he was brought back to the fight when he was kicked from the back. Zabuza landed only to see A kunai be thrown and Naruto land where it was. Naruto gave Zabuza a death glare and shot so much ki that he swore people from Iwa could feel it.
"Wait those eyes, that hair, your his son?" Zabuza said after gaining his composure. Naruto gave a nod before flashing behind Zabuza. The blonde threw a kick which Zabuza blocked only to get kicked into the air by a shadow clone from under him. Naruto threw a kunai above Zabuza before a blue ball of Chakra form. The ball blew away the mist and lit up the area.
With Sasuke and Hinata 2 minutes prior. "I don't want to kill you but if Zabuza sama said so I will," the masked boy said while pulling out 6 senbon place between his fingers. Sasuke got into a stance and Hinata followed. They both rushed at each other and Sasuke's kunai met Haku's senbon. They exchanged blows before Haku was overwhelmed and had to jump back. Hinata dashed at Haku and the masked boy was back on the defensive. Hinata was pushed off of Haku and the boy went through a set of hand signs with one hand.
One-handed hand signs Kakashi thought stunned but when he saw Sasuke mimic the one-handed hand sign he was at aw. "Water style 1000 flying water needles of death!" Both boys shouted as Hinata jumped back. Water needles clashed in the middle and were canceled out. Haku was surprised he copied my technique and he can also use a one-handed hand sign. Thoughts stopped when he was pinned with steaks about to be impaled. "Kai!" the boy shouted dispelling the genjutsu that Sasuke placed on the boy.
Haku rushed at the two and then made hand signs. "Demonic ice mirrors," Haku whispered and 21 perfect sheets of ice surrounded his two opponents. He steps into the mirror to the surprise of his opposition. With three senbon in each hand Haku said "I will show you my real speed, not even Zabuza sama can escape this technique," The ice ninja proclaimed. Haku jumped through the mirrors at speeds only jonin could have a chance at dodging and if it wasn't for their dojutsu the duo would have much more trouble.
After 15 seconds of dodging Hinata got a plan formulated in her head as she starts to spin. She started to mix wind chakra into her rotation and it made hundreds of paper-thin blades that worked in a spinning motion that chipped away at the mirrors. Sasuke saw the plan and blew a fireball that mixed with the wind and made a torrent of spinning fire that both melt and cut the mirror until it cracked. After 5 seconds Haku flew out of the mirror with his Clothing sinched with burn marks all over. Sasuke held a kunai to Haku's neck when he saw what Naruto was about to do to Zabuza. "ZABUZA SAMA!" Haku yelled as his body flickered faster than he had ever done and took the blow that would have killed Zabuza.
Haku's body landed on top of Zabuza's and with the spinning force of the Rasengan, the two fell to the ground. Naruto landed with both Sasuke and Hinata by his side as they walked up to Zabuza, Sasuke with a Chidori ready to kill the missing-nin. "Zabuza Momochi it was an honor to fight you," Sasuke said as he plunged his Chidori into Zabuza's heart. Kakashi walked over to his genin and was stunned by their skills Naruto looks like he was toting with Zabuza and Hinata and Sasuke makes a pretty good team. "Team you have surprised me and you adapted to the task very well even though your rookies you fight as if you have done it for years." Kakashi praised and they started to walk to Tazuna's home.
After an hour of walking the group arrived at a house that was by the sea. "Tsunami, I'm home," Tazuna said and Tsunami rushed over to greet her father and his protective detail. Once Tsunami ran over she was met with 3 preteens her father and a man about her age. "Thank you for protecting my father's leaf ninja we welcome your stay," Tsunami said and they walked into the house. Kakashi walked over to his genin and gave them an eye smile.
"Good job you handle your first serious battle very well and I hope you understand the line of work you signed yourself into." Kakashi praised his first squad and They decided to relax and set some protection for the day as they had just finished a big battle.
Gato was in his office when he heard the news. "Boss, boss Zabuza Momochi and The demon brother failed in killing Tazuna," One of the thugs said while panting. "What!" Gato said while shaking his fist. he grip his hand so tightly that his knuckles turned white. "Ok, tonight we are going to blow up The stupid bridge builder's home," Gato shouted with triumph in his voice. Boss do you think we should expect they did defeat the demon of the mist." The thug said before one of Gato's elite thugs stabled the thugs. "Stupid fool," Gato said as he walked out of his office.
Gato walked around until he felt something eerie in the air but paid it no mind. Back at Tazuna's estate, a purple barrier was set up. Naruto had four clones keep the barrier up and went to go eat lunch. Turns out that Tsunami was a great cook, she prepared rice with fresh-caught fish and with a side of dashi soup. After lunch, the group decide to go train and Kakashi wanted to spar with his students.
Kakashi wanted to spar Hinata as she was the most interesting in his opinion a Hyuga with advance levels of ninjutsu. In a clearing far from the house, both Kakashi and Hinata stood in a stance ready to battle. "The spar will commence in 3,2,1 begin!" Naruto shouted and both ninjas rushed at each other. Kakashi threw a kick that Hinata dodge under and try to hit one of Kakashi's tenketsu. Kakashi dodge to strike and went for a low kick that Hinata jumped over and gave a palm strike to Kakashi's shoulder. Shit, it's useless my arm Kakashi thought as he jumped back.
Kakashi use the time to open his tenketsu and winced at the pain but then made a set of hand signs. "Earth style mud wave," the copy nin said as the ground made ripples that made Hinata stumble. This is my chance Kakashi thought as he rushed at Hinata. Kakashi went for a punch that Hinata couldn't block and "poof" substitution, no shadow clone Kakashi thought as he jumps. Hinata popped out of the ground and made her own set of hand signs. "Earth style drilling rock bullets." Hinata yelled and dozens of rocks the size of Kakashi's head flew at Kakashi. "Shadow clone jutsu," Kakashi said as a shadow clone moved him away from the attack.
Kakashi made another set of hand signs "lighting style lighting beast tracking fang," Kakashi said as the lighting wolf rushed at Hinata and the Hyuga reacted quickly. "Wind style drilling air bullets," The young ninja said as air bullets pierced the wolf and stopped Kakashi's attack. Hinata rushed at Kakashi with her byakugan active and saw that he had replaced himself with a lighting clone. "Wind style great breakthrough," the Hyuga said and the clone dispersed and Kakashi popped out of the ground trying to do the trick Hinata did earlier. The Hyuga and Kakashi jumped he went for an ax kick which Hinata substituted with a log to escape the attack.
Kakashi had made an extra shadow clone which caught Hinata off guard and she was dragged into a taijutsu battle. She quickly blocked the clone's attack and closed its' tenketsu. Kakashi landed and went for a punch from the Hyuga's blind spot which Hinata barely blocked and she retaliated with a kick. She substituted behind Kakashi and went for a kick. Kakashi blocked and threw the girl into the air and transformed a shadow clone into a fuma shuriken and threw it at Hinata. The girl did a rotation in mid-air and blocked the shuriken. The Hyuga landed and the spar continued.
After 30 minutes both fighters were tired and it was getting late so they decide to end the spar. Both Naruto and Sasuke were doing individual training and when they got back Hinata and Kakashi just finished their spar. "Seem like you just finish, the sun is setting let's go for some dinner," Naruto commented and both nodded and made their way to the house. One of the clones made an opening and they all walked in. "we're back," Kakashi said and Tsunami greeted the ninja.
"Great dinner is ready have a seat and let's eat." Tsunami said and they took a seat at the dining table. The table was full of food and they dug in. halfway through the meal Tsunami's son Inari walked into the room "Oh Inari, come and join us," Tazuna said as he took a sip of sake. "Why do you try your all going to die no one can beat Gato, the weak always lose to the strong!" Inari practically shouted. "you're right kid, the weak do fall to the strong for civilian thugs and people like Gato are the strong but for Shinobi Gato and his thugs are nothing but the weak, they kill and rob people can't fight back." Naruto said and the room went silent.
"What would you know about suffering you lives cozy lives in that stupid ninja village of yours!" Inari shouted and ki flooded the room and the temperature dropped by a few degrees as a dark aura glowed around the shinobi. "kid you know nothing. " Naruto said and his ki intensified making Inari scared out of his mind. "have you lived in a village that hates you, have you seen your parent and clan get murdered by your brother, has your whole family called you weak and a failure all of your life." Naruto shouted at Inari shocking the boy, "I and my team have lived through these nightmares, and my sensei used to have the name friend killer Kakashi as one of his comrades died by his hand his teammates." Naruto said, " Look what you have a grandfather who is trying to save your country a mother who loves you and you are bitching about your father's death, you're pathetic." Naruto said finishing his speech as the ki stopped spewing by the gallon.
Naruto sat back down and Kakashi gave him a sympathetic look and said "Sorry for my student." "It's fine he needed that," Tazuna said and they continued to eat. Inari ran upstairs and started to cry. Naruto got the information that his clone dispelled and made 4 more take their place. After dinner, the group took showers and went to bed.
Around 2 in the morning you could hear explosions around the barrier and Gato's men running trying to get into the barriers. The ruckus woke up the whole family and Inari was scared for his life. The group of Shinobi knew what they needed to do to protect the house and gave wave some hope. They snuck from behind the house and left the barrier. Inari was watching through a window and saw the shinobi work.
The group of Shinobi saw that there were about 100 men and that Gato has ran back to his mansion. "Hey they can be our next meal ticket," one said and they charged. Sasuke blew a fire dragon at the thugs and burnt them to a crisp. Hinata quickly and skillfully glided like a feather threw the mob and kill 30 of the thugs. Naruto and Kakashi launch wind and fire jutsu and killed the rest of the thugs. They walked back into the house where Inari was stunned that what Naruto said wasn't a lie.
Once the group got into the house they walked Inari sprung out of his seat and hugged Naruto. "Naruto ni," Inari yelled as he hugged the blonde in a tight embrace. "I thought you were lying when you said that shinobi think of thugs as weak" Inari chirpily said. Naruto patted Irari's head and relied "fresh genin would have a harder time and my team is a new genin team but we are different." Inari made a face-splitting smile and hug Naruto once more. once Inari broke the hug kakashi took his genin to a more secluded area to talk about their plan.
"Ok, we saw Gato's little maneuver, and thank god he couldn't get past the barrier." Kakashi said to his team and Naruto replied: "I say we rush his base and remove the threat, he has thugs but as I said to Inari they are nothing." Kakashi didn't oppose the idea but Sasuke brought something up. "If we rush his base where will the money go," "To the civilians," Naruto said and they decide to get some sleep before the mass killing of Gato's base.
The next morning team 7 got up and quickly got to work and prepared their supplies. By lunch, they had finished and they would strike at night. That day Tazuna was walking through town shopping for the meager amount of food Wave had to offer. Naruto saw how bad the living situation is in Wave and wanted to help even more. After lunch, Tazuna went to his bridge and started to work. By nightfall, all of team 7 was ready for their little attack.
It was pitch black and Gato's men were about to change shifts. All of team seven snuck in and attached themselves to the ceiling as no one looks up. They move their way to Gato's storage where he keeps his money and there was about 600 million Ryo in his storage. After a bit, they found their way into Gato's office and where he was working right now. Team seven snuck into Gato's office after one of his thugs walked in. They dropped and stabbed Gato in the back.
Both of Gato's elite looked at the group and it was the last thing they saw before both were stabbed by Naruto and Sasuke kunai impaled in their chest. They walked out as explosive tags were set off. Naruto had made a seal protect the storage since the villagers would want to have the Ryo intact. Team seven went into Gato's office Naruto's clones place hundreds of explosive tags around the mansion. Naruto place a barrier around team seven and saw the destruction of Gato's shipping company.
Many villagers saw the monumental event that had just happened as they thought that they were free. 80 percent of the thugs were killed in the explosion, and only 200 remained. Team seven got to work with Naruto throwing Hiriashin kunai everywhere and flashing his team around to kill the mass of thugs. Most of the thugs die, and the rest were running covering and running away but were all sliced down by Naruto. It was midnight but the people of Wave made it seem like it was the day. They were living in extreme poverty and now they were free and these shinobi are giving out money on the street for their use.
By morning team sevens were legends in the land of waves and many people look up to their bravery and what they did for their country. The next morning fishermen were fishing and bringing heapings of fish into the market. Farms were set up and the economy was moving finally. Houses were being made to accommodate the homeless and the many volunteers help Tazuna with his bridge. Naruto shadow clones was a big help and progress was faster than ever. Naruto decided to scrummage through Gato's storage to see what else the shipping magnate was hiding.
What was inside shocked him. There were cages inside were naked girls were tied up and many files of drug deals that were made. "Gato was surely evil," Naruto said His shadow clones had went to get some clothing and food for the women and brook them out of their bindings. One room that intrigued him was a room that said shinobi headband. Naruto walked in and saw that Gato was a headband collector.
One headband intrigued him out of the eight forehead protectors three from Kiri one from Konoha, two from Kumo one from Suna, and one with a spiral on it. "wait, no, no way, Gato got his hand on a Uzushiogakure hitai-ate." Naruto said with disbelief in his voice. Naruto took the other forehead protectors and got out of the abandoned mansion. Naruto arrived at Tazuna's house around lunch and walk in with a storage scroll. "Naruto what is that," Hinata asked and Naruto unsealed its' belongings.
Naruto took the Uzu headband and said "this is special Gato had a Uzushio headband." Kakashi's eyes popped out so far that it made his hitai-ate bend on the other hand team sevens mouths open drool coming out. " I am keeping this and you can scrummage through the rest. Gato had a sword he had collected from other shinobi he had ripped off and other shinobi tools. Sasuke took a sword and the others didn't want anything. Tsunami walked over and brought over lunch and the group gladly ate. Naruto decide that he would keep the rest as it would be a good memory of their first C-Rank gone wrong.
Over the next week, the people of Wave have gotten more lively and with Naruto's shadow clone the build was also done. As team seven walked out on the bridge Tsunami asked " Dad what should we name it?" "How about The Bridge of Team Seven," Tazuna said and cheers of agreement roared. " Goodbye, Naruto ni come and visit," Inari yelled as team seven walked off and Naruto gave a goodbye wave.
Far from Wave, Team seven made a burial ground for Zabuza and Haku. The grave was very basic and they left ready to go to a bounty station where they would claim the bounty of Zabuza. Team seven tree hopped to the station and split the bounty between the four. The trip to Konoha was smooth and with no interruptions. Naruto had the legendary Kubikiribocho and decides that he would give it to his sensei. Kakashi accepted the gift and seals it away in a scroll.
Two days later they arrived at the gates of Konoha and woke up the sleeping enternal gate guards. "Wake up you two," Kakashi said and both rubbed the back of their heads sheepishly. They continued to the Hokages office and walked into the Hokage office. "Team seven reporting back from C-Rank mission," Kakashi said as he walked in. "Ah, so your back how was the mission?" Hiruzen asks. "turns out our client lied as Wave didn't have enough money to pay for more than a C-rank and we encountered Zabuza Momochi and his subordinate. My team handled them while I protected the client and we raided Gato who has taken over Wave." Kakashi finished his report.
"What, you let your genin fight Zabuza Momochi did they work together," Hiruzen asked and Kakashi shook his head to the shock of the professor. "Naruto took care of Zabuza and Sasuke and Hinata took care of his subordinate Haku an ice release user most likely the last." Kakashi celebrated and Hiruzen looked at Naruto who had no injuries and wasn't tense at all after a battle of such intensity. "Naruto are you ok," hiruzen asked and Naruto nodded. " I am fine I gave Kakashi the Kubikiribocho as he use to use a sword and I think he can put it to great use." Hiruzen was again shocked and asked, "You killed him." Naruto shook his head and said "I fought him until Haku took the Rasengan that was meant to kill him Sasuke pierces him with a Chidori.
Hiruzen was shocked at how calm the young boy was and thought just like Minato what prodigy did you bring to this world Minato? Hiruzen calmed down and said "Anything else preemptively preparing himself. "Yes, can I wear the Uzushigakure hitai-ate instead of the Konoha one as I am one of the last Uzumaki," Naruto asked and Hiruzen just stared at the Uzu hitai-ate in the blond's hand. "Yes, Naruto I will allow that" Hiruzen replied getting over his shock. "Also Hokage sama I think we will have trade deals from Wave as we free their country from the iron fist of Gato.
Hiruzen was happy that the mission went well and that they will have more trade stimulating the economy. "Ok as for completing an A-Rank mission you will have three days of rest," Hiruzen said and the group left. It was late in the day and team 7 decide to go to a barbeque place for the success of their first A-rank. One the way they were met by teams 8 and 10 and they all decide to catch up.
The group walked in and knew that they might have to prepare themselves for a long night of explanations. Kakashi looked at his fellow jonins and gave them an eye smile. "We have a story to tell I think it would be to the best interests if the student were out of this one. My student can stay because it will be important but I must warn you." The copy nin said as the other jonin nodded. "Anyways, let head in." Kakashi announced as the group proceded.
