Two days after the upcoming university students had visited Brooke's Brew, Angela's father, Goliath, and his best friend Othello came to have coffee on their lunch break. Goliath David had proven himself to be quite the scholar when he'd been in school. He worked as Head of Archives for Xanatos Enterprise. Othello Stone worked for the rival corporation, Cyberbiotics, as one of their chief mechanical engineers.

While their workplaces were adversaries, neither man let that hamper their relationship. Whenever they got together? They didn't bring up anything related to work. So they didn't start any unnecessary disputes. Plus, their paranoid superiors wouldn't think they'd lose lips.

Instead, both men spoke about their children beginning university in two weeks. Then, after the barista had brought their requested coffee, they began. "Des and I are quite proud our son, Gabriel, has chosen to follow in his mother's footsteps. I've no doubt he'll become an acceptable pastor one day."

"I don't doubt it, Othello. You did name him after an archangel, after all. So it's only natural he desires to serve the Lord himself. He's done everything else at our house of prayer.

Therefore, it's no surprise he wants to lead it himself. You and Des sincerely selected the correct name. Gabriel does have quite a few saintly qualities. He even looks like an angel." So Goliath noted as he nibbled on his ham and cheese sandwich.

"I find your name a bit of a paradox. Your last name is the same as the child who vanquished your first name. Was that intentional?" Othello questioned curiously. He was eating a turkey club sandwich.

"I do believe it was. My parents were devout Christians. Yet, that's presumably why my twin brother's name is mine, spelled backward. They could tell from the start he was a bad egg."

"Well, there is no doubt about that. He remains one nasty piece of work. No wonder you've gone no contact with him. He's such a sleazeball!" growled Othello. After all, he'd grown up with the jackass, plus had been on the receiving end of his cruelty. So he remained quite knowledgeable about his best friend's evil twin.

"I don't normally speak openly about it," confessed Goliath. He took a long swing from his extra large coffee before continuing. "However, we had to get a cease and desist because his girlfriend Delilah wouldn't stop bashing Elisa on social media.

Therefore, he's fortunate we didn't sue him for character defamation. However, I'm willing to do it if they repeat their despicable actions," his eyes seemed to flash in anger. Goliath was serious, so his best friend knew he'd make good on his promise if push came to shove.

"Good for you, Goliath. For standing up and defending your wife's honor. I'm confident we're both on the same page that social media is evil. How often has social media led to suicide and murder? Or devastated the reputation of exemplary individuals?"

"Or how it can be weaponized," Goliath pointed out. Of course, the entire world knew what Goliath was referring to. "We'd be better off not having it in our lives. Hence, we both agreed that our children shouldn't be on it."

"Well, now that they've moved out? We don't have much of a say regarding it. By the way? Have you had any difficulties with your ex recently? You had to work with her to find Angela an apartment. Is she still sour about you remarrying?"

"No, she's moved passed that. Our relationship has become more cordial. I'm quite proud of the headway she's made with her therapist. Ms. Bates is quite good at her job. She's even more, accepting of Angela's sisters. She's no longer furious about me having another daughter. Or us adopting one."

"You and Elisa are good people. Des has always been proud you took in Antonia. She needed to get away from her criminal father. By the way? How are she and Vixen doing?"

"Toni is in her last year of high school. Vixen's starting junior high. But, of course, since they attend Penbrook? It's K-12th. So it's not like either going to a different school. Just in different wings of the establishment."

"Penbrook is undoubtedly one of the most exemplary institutions in New York. I'm quite pleased all the children received their education at such a fine institution," Othello concurred.

"I'm curious how is Gabriel's relationship with Ophelia going? Do you know where she's studying? Angela didn't tell me."

"Ophelia is attending Julliard with Angela's companion Alexandria. She hopes to become a Broadway actress one day. She's quite a good actress, given she was in the drama club most of her school life."

"Well, that's lovely. So would you and Des care to join Elisa and me this weekend? We're having a spa day too ourselves. However, its a two-for-one. So you'd not have to pay."

"I'm sure Des would enjoy a bit of pampering. So, yes, we shall join you."

"Thanks, but our lunch break is coming to an end. Sadly we must get back to work. See you on Saturday then," as they stood up and shook hands. Then, smiling, they got into a taxi to head back to work.

"Don't sacrifice your dream for the sake of someone else idea of what it should be. Be true to your heart and dream, and don't let others tell you how to do it."
