Setting Prompt: Married Life
Being married to a famous detective made Shiho popular as well, she realized. Everyone now knew her name, constantly interviewing her and asking about her research, and a lot about her husband. One time she was even interviewed by one of Shinichi's fangirls, who asked if they were up for a threesome because she played for both teams, wink wink. (Shiho left that conversation pretty quickly.)
Shiho was never a big fan of the fame. As Haibara Ai, she had to hide all the time from the organization, and to suddenly be constantly caught on TV like this? It made her want to disappear.
Shinichi found out one day, seeing her mood after coming home from another sudden interview. "Is something wrong, Shiho?" He questioned.
She sighed and sat down at the table. "They wanted to interview me again."
Shinichi made a noise of acknowledgement. "Couldn't you tell them no?"
Shiho laughed dryly. "It's hard."
"I'm sorry about this," Shinichi said. When Shiho looked up at him, confused, he elaborated. "It's my fault they're bothering you about this."
"I don't blame you," Shiho whispered.
"I'm glad," Shinichi smiled. But Shiho knew he blamed himself all the same.
Perhaps Shiho could manage to say a firm no the next time this happened.
