As many other fans of the show, I miss Edgar, even though he did something horrible, I still like him as a person, and so I will be writing this fic as if Edgar was still on the show(as of Aug 2022).

Falsely Accused, Innocent - Au.

Pairigs: Jake A./Josh Harris(in future chapters), Jay/Connor Bay.

Rated M for mentions of false accused sexual abuse in first chapter.

Edgar Hansen was a loved personality on the Discovery show, Deadliest Catch. But what if the alligations he was accused off were false? Just another shake-down like what happened to his eldest brother, Sig?

Edgar Hansen couldn't believe it.

He was dragged into court because ofbsomething he didn't do. He had an alibi, but of course, it was a underage girl that accused him of it. And it was taken seriously whether his alibi checked out or not.

Sadly, he'd been kicked down from the show he starred on, Deadliest Catch, until it was dealt with, but even if he was innocent, itbwas a very low chance he'd be able to work on his brothers boat, or be back on the show.

Mist of his closest friends, the one's he said could alibi for him, stayed by him, as they knew he didn't do it. Those were Matt Bradley, Captain Jerry Bay's eldest brother Shawn Reed, and Polishman Andrei Hallow.

While his other, lose friends left him, not bothering to ask IF he did it. Just left because somesone accused him of doing it.

Edgar's brothers had tried to stop him from falling into s hole he couldn't get put from. But all the youngest Hansen brother did was chain smoke everytime his mind drifted to the horrible situation, as gis future was uncertain.

But after two months of investigation, it was classified as a shake-down.

Due to insufficient evidence, Edgar's alibi, and earlier relations.

As the mother of the sixteen year old was one of Edgar's ex's from when they were teenagers. And that the mother just wanted money, albiet forcing her daughter to help it, it failed. And Edgar didn't care to know what happened to them. So he went back to living his life.

And after talking to producers of the DC show, and Sig, Edgar was allowed to return to the boat, and return to the show.

But it scarred Edgar, bot badly, but enough that he's slightly paranoid.

Because cops knocking on your door at four in the morning, after just coming back from a fishing trip to arrest you, and ypu not knowing what you did, was kinda scary if you though about it long enough.

But from all of it, Edgar was relieved he was able to get back to fishing. That was what was most important to him, to fish. It was in his blood, so he'll do ot to the best of his ability every time.. until he wouldn't...

And Jerry, or Jay, Shawn's younger brother, and Jay's husband, Connor Bay, offered Edgar a few beers to at the local Irish pub, to get things off their chests and just to make Edgar feel like the accusations never happened.

And Edgar would be forever grateful to have Jay and his partner as his friends. They were people that asked how he was doing and not what he was doing.

And that opened a drift for a potential partnership betwewn the Northwestern and Aria Epip. And it was because of the night at the Pub that Edgar realized that it was over, 99.9% over.

King crab 2020. A couple years after the case was closed. The Captains and Co-Captains of the home fleet stood around the fire barrel, staring at the inferno.

Wild Bill, Casey Mcmanus and Josh Harris, Jonathan Hillstrand, Sig Hansen, Scott Campbell Jr., Keith Colburn, Jake Anderson, Jerry and Connor Bay, stood around the warm source of light, tensed up.

"Guys! We represent so much of the, of the quota right here, if we can work together, we can cut down our time, and we can find the crab that much faster." Sig stated, looking at all Captains faces, "That's the bottom line."

"I mean, if we grid it out, if we just pick so many square miles each. And run a grid! And be honest! If you're not honest, it ain't gonna work." Sig continued, the eldest Hansen's words beginning p iritate the Wizard's Captain amd owner.

"If you're honest-", "I'll be honest-", "Which is a really difficult word for you." Keith interjected, Sig cutting h off in the middle of his sentence, "That's like, in Norwegian that's like four sylables." Thay comment from Keith got the group chuckling.

"Uhh, you're a funny guy." Sig roled his eyes while laughing.

"You're asking one, two, three, fou- a number of boats to try and work together. As a team?" Keith asked Sig angrily, the groups tension rising.

"Yeah, I am." Sig said.

"We have a hard enough time working together. Right?.." Keith hissed, Junior continuing, "With two. Let alone, two, four, six, eight." "Yeah." Keith agreed with Scott.

"Sig, it's a big ask." Keith growled.

"I'm not asking anybody to fish for me-" Sig turned to the the Wizard Captain.

"That's where I struggle, Sig, is because you never said we-" Keith raised his voice.

"I know, this isn't about-"Sig also raised his voice.

"You always say me-" Keith hissed.

"This isn't about pride-" Sig hissed

"I'm not fucking asking you to catch my crab!-" Sig spat, anger slowly building.

"I don't wanna catch your crab." Keither brushed off the other veteran Captain.

"I'm just saying we should share information.WE. WE share information." Sig tried reasoning, glad thay one of the ypung gun Captains spoke.

"We have to! We have to." Josh cut in, "The old-school mentality that we all grew up on. It says find your spot. Keep it. Don't tell nobody. We don't have that option anymore." That was a better way of saying it.

"If we keep that mentality and qe don't eveolve, then we're all fucked.c Josh said, his words of Harris wisdom calming the evergrowing yesnion between Northwestern Captain Sig and Wizard Captain Keith.

"Y'know." John started, "I came back to help you guys. So, let's work together." John said, all attention on him.

"I'm in this, Anybody in this woth me? Raise your fucking hand."

John raised his hand, and Sig did the same, "Raise 'em up."

The group exchanged weary glances at one another.

Eventually, Bill, Casey and Josh raised their hands, "We'll do it. Jake?" Josh said.

"You in, Anderson?" John continued.

Jake looked at the ground, shifting his weight on his feet, eventually raising his hand too.

"We got Scott? Jay, Connor?" Josh asked, the three mentioned glanced at eachother, including Keith, worried, paranoid glances.

Before the two Bay's taised their hands.

"Hey, Keith? You in? Raise ypur fucking hand if you're in." John stated loudly.

Keith looked at Junior, before he and the younger Captain both put up their hands.

A wave of relief flew over the group, all tension slowly filtering away.

"Well, if we're gonna do this on the radio, we're going to need some codes." Keith stated.

"Roadrunner," Johnathan pointed at himself, then at Keith, "Coyote."

"Skeeter?" Keith turned to Jake, who replied with a 'No!'.

"You are skeeter." Keith yelled playfully at Anderson, the man yellong back, "I am not!"

The whole group began laughing, during their laughter, dubbed Bill "Sasquatch" and Jay and Connor the "Rays".

"Then what's Junior's nickname?" Casey asked.

"Legend!" Sig laughed, turning to the ginger man.

And Jake got mad, yelling about how Junior got the good name, making the whole group laugh again, slowly making the night enjoyable from the grim start it had.
