After Shelagh discharge from St Cuthbert's all the Nurses including Valerie pulled together to make sure Shelagh didn't have to work as often until she was full of recovery.
Once morning Mia went to the Turners early to help the children get ready for school so that's how she ended up with Angela sat on her lap in the bathroom brushing her teeth.
Shelagh walked in sing about toothbrushes. Mia giggled.
"What did we agree!" Patrick asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh I know but I feel so much better Patrick. In fact I feel much healthier than I have in years. I've got so much energy I just want to do things!" Shelagh insisted. Mia smiled again at the woman's stubbornness.
"Has anyone seen my swimming trunks?" Tim asked tightening his tie wrong so it was wonky. Mia bit her lip and proceed to shimmy Angela of her lap so she could sort Tim's tie. She slackened it and tightened it properly so it was straight.
"What's going on? Why can't you find anything?" Patrick asked.
"Because our rooms a mess!" Tim said in annoyance.
"Then tidy it!" Patrick pressed.
"I do. Then it gets untidy again. Its a mystery!" Tim replied sarcastically. Mia gave him a look of warning. She ushered him out and told him to go for his bus or he'd be late.
"We need more space. Patrick Timothy needs his own room! He's growing up. He can't share with Angela any longer!" Shelagh argued.
Shelagh if discussed the idea of moving house with Mia who had agreed that it was something to ask Patrick.
"We need to be more disciplined!" Patrick argued getting slightly irritated.
"Patrick it is nothing to do with discipline, it is to do with space!" Mi interjected. She didn't want them to row especially in front of Angela who like usual was taking forever to brush her teeth. Mia gently took the tooth brush and began to brush the girl's teeth for her or they'd be there all day.
"Besides she's going to be sharing with her new brother or sister!" Shelagh continued.
"Why don't we talk about the flat some other time. First things first: come back to work and see how you feel then!" Patrick implied.
"Is that Doctor's expert opinion?" Shelagh asked with a smile. Patrick nodded and Shelagh hurried to get ready. Mia turned to Patrick.
"Patrick you can't seat house shopping forever. I know how important this house is to you but it's about the memories and they can move about just as easily as the furniture can!" Mia said wisely
Shelagh and Mia sat in the kitchen with the door open and the sun flooding in. They spent the afternoon circling available houses in the local papers.
They went through 3 pots of Nescafé in the haste of it all.
"This one?" Mia nodded stabbing her pen onto a particular property.
"Yes this one, when Patrick comes home, I'll ask him to take me!"Shelagh told Mia. "Will you come with us to view the house?"
"Of course I would where else would I be!"
"Look at the garden it's beautiful, there'd be so much space for the little ones to run around!" Shelagh explained.
"Our furniture is going to get lost in it!" Patrick reasoned.
Shelagh's face dropped and Mia glared at Patrick.
"Well we can fill I few rooms then grow from there!" Patrick added. Shelagh launched herself at Patrick and wrapped her arms around his middle.
