Sean
The girls go shopping and I'm left with Sam and Micheal. Tali looked like she didn't break a sweat finding her way back here. I fear for my girl. She is reckless and wild, but calculating and precise.
"Stop worrying about her. She is fine," Sam says.
"Tali is a fighter at heart. She's not going down without a fight," Micheal says.
"You're not worried about your sister?" I ask him.
"I'm worried, but I also know that she has training from Eliot. He's an expert hitter and she has learned from him. She is careful and I trust her," Micheal says. "Also she has been funding our jobs for us."
"You have been taking her money?!" I demand.
"She's been helping," Sam says.
"Okay," I say.
"So you have a thing for my sister?" Micheal asks.
"Yeah, you have been following her with your eyes for a while now. Why not make a move on her?" Sam asks.
I think about what they are saying. I do like her. She's interesting and funny. She is beautiful and her smile is amazing. Brightens my day.
"I wanted her brother's permission first," I say sheepishly.
"That's kinda of old fashioned, don't you think, Sean?" Sam asks.
"Well, I don't wanna get on Micheal's bad side or her other brother either," I say.
"You can ask my sister out, but you need to ask Eliot too," Micheal says.
"I don't have his number," I say.
"I'll get you his number," Micheal says.
He gets me the number and I call and leave a message.
"Let's get some food!" Sam says.
"All I have is yogurt," Micheal says.
"Yes, we all know that," Sam and I both say.
We leave and go back to Carlitos. We're eating and soon are joined by Fi and Tali. Tali is beautiful in this lighting. I want her with me. Tali just returned from the bathroom and I pull her onto my lap. She looks down at me with an odd look. I raise my hand to her face and touch her cheek.
"Tali, what do you think of our buddy Sean?" Sam asks Tali.
"Sean is an interesting man," Tali says carefully.
"Don't you think he's handsome?" Fi asks her.
"He's handsome alright," Tali says with a smile.
I'm shocked that she would say such a thing and smile about it. I'm happy about that and I'm just glad that she said that.
"I think he's quite the gentleman," Tali says.
"You think so, Love," I say to her.
"I do," she says.
"Wanna go out some time?" I ask her.
"Sure," she says with a bright smile.
"I will plan everything," I tell her.
"Alright," she says.
She checks her watch and she gets up from my lap with a worried look on her face.
"I have to go!" Tali says quickly.
"Tali!" Micheal calls after her.
"Micheal, come with me! I need your help!" Tali yells.
Micheal gets to his feet and follows her. I have no idea what is going on.
Tali
Micheal and I are taking care of a client and I need Micheal to help me take care of the Butcher while Eliot is in town. The Butcher needs to die! Eliot came to town with some new players to hit the Butcher.
"Micheal, please help me!" I beg him.
"I'll help, but what do you want me to do?" He asks me.
I explain everything to him. He agrees to do it. It's going down in three days. Micheal is coming with me to Eliot.
"Eliot!" I yell as we walk into an industrial place.
"Tali!" He softly growls at me.
He hugs me anyway and I have missed him.
"Tali, how are you adjusting here?" He asks me.
"I've been good. Micheal has really been looking out for me," I say.
"I have kept her safe," Micheal says.
"Is there any progress with Glenanne?" Eliot asks me.
"Huh?" I ask with a head tilt.
"He asked me for permission to date you," he says.
"Huh?!" I ask.
That's the reason he asked me out is because he got my brother's permission? I thought that was a myth. Not that I'm not flattered, but it's weird for me.
"He asked you for permission?" I ask them.
"Yes," they say.
"It's Sean Glenanne! Don't you feel a bit odd about that?" I ask them.
"He's out of the business!" Micheal says.
"What?!" I ask.
"He got out of the business for you!" Eliot says.
He got out of the business? Then what the hell is he doing?! Then again I went straight. He could go straight if he really wanted too. Sean out of the weapons business? That's news to me!
"Hey Tali!" I look up and see Hardison.
"My Geek!" I say cheerfully.
I am the only one he lets call him a geek. I hug him and he's great! He set up my security system.
"So the Butcher is after you again, huh?" Hardison asks.
"Yeah, but I don't know why," I say to him with a frown.
"We do," Eliot says angrily.
"Damian Moreau wants you back, but if he can't have you, he is going to kill you and he hired the Butcher to do it," Nate says as he comes out of the woodwork.
"Hiya Boss!" I say to him with a grin.
"Tali, you had to attract the attention of Moreau," he says while shaking his head.
"He's supposed to be serving a prison sentence on that god forsaken island," I say with a shrug.
"Seems like he's escaped somehow," Nate says. "He's after you, Tali."
"What am I supposed to do with this information?" I ask them.
"Keep a low profile. Be smart and safe and always put your earwig in," Sophie says.
I nod. They give one to Micheal and then we are on our way with Eliot. We are going back to my place to get my things and then leave. The drive is silent and I remember Damian. He was handsome alright, but he was ruthless and never showed mercy. Eliot worked for him at the time and when I went to him after I had enough of 'dad' I caught his attention. He treated me like a princess.
Eliot taught me everything he knew about fighting. I was a quick study. I caught on quickly. He was the man that I lost my virginity to. I regret that. That man had evil fantasies. Fantasies I have nightmares of. When Eliot left, I begged him to take me with him. He took me away from Moreau. I was young and stupid. I thought he loved me.
"Tali?" I hear Micheal ask.
"What is it, Micheal?" I ask wearily.
"What is this Moreau to you?" He asks me.
"He is the man that haunts my nightmares," I say bitterly.
"What did he do to you?" He asks.
"He did fifty shades of gray but a thousand times worse," I choke out as I see the newest toy he wanted to use on me.
"Tali," Eliot says sadly.
"Please don't make me talk about him," I softly beg my brother.
"It's a not so good memory. She tried to forget," Eliot says to him.
"Can we just drop it!" I snap at them.
We make it to the house and get my stuff out of the house. We drive to Micheal's before we go to Fiona's. I let out a good cry before heading over there. Eliot held me as I cried. Micheal doesn't do tears well, but neither does Eliot. We reach Fi's and I swallow the lump in my throat. I wipe my eyes. I get out of the Charger and walk up Fi's walkway. We reach her door and Eliot knocks on the door.
The door flies open to reveal Fi with a worried look on her face. Behind her Sean comes into view. I hesitate to go in. Eliot nudges me forward and we go inside.
"What's wrong?" Fi asks.
"We have a problem," Micheal says.
"What's the problem?" Sean asks.
"A past problem," Eliot says.
"Don't!" I beg Eliot.
"I won't, but we need ally's," he says.
"Fi, could you point me to your guest room please?" I ask her.
"Yes, this way," Fi says as she takes my arm and leads me to the room.
"Thank you," I whisper.
"I'll leave you to yourself," she says.
She leaves and I know that Eliot is going to spell out what is going on with us, but I wish he wouldn't. That means Damian will be brought up. I want him gone! He wasn't supposed to touch me from where he is. How did he escape?!
