Mia walked into her new house. Tim took her by the hand and led her into the kitchen. The kitchen was fitted out with a double stove. The cupboards and counters were all pure oak. Mia walked through to the adjoining dining room to where there was the dining room table that could seat 12 and 15 with the extender. The living room was filled with a brand new suite,TV,coffee table and ornate mahogany fire place. Painting adorned the lounge walls. The ground floor bathroom was marble. The office was for Tim, it was identical to his fathers, messy and unorganised.
The upstairs was Mia's domain. There was 2 smaller bedrooms. One was going to be turned into an office for Mia. The other smaller bedroom was going to be used as a guest room until such a time that they would need a baby nursery.
The master bedroom was beautiful. It was a mixture of gold and maroon. The wood surfaces were mahogany. Mia sat down on the bed. Tim took hold of her ankles and helped her take off shoes.
She took off her dress and slipped on her dressing gown and slippers.Mia curled up on the bed.
"I'm going to run you a bath, and then I'm going to make you dinner in bed. And we can lay together!" Tim told his wife who nodded tiredly.
Half an hour later he was lifting her off their bed and into the bathroom. He helped her out of her dressing gown and into the bath. He helped her wash her hair and then lathered soap in his hands and gently rubbed them across her skin. She relaxed into his touch. She sunk further into the water desperate for the warmth.
Gently Tim helped her out of the bath and helped her dry herself down before putting her dressing gown on. He took her into there shared room and left her to put pyjamas on so he could prepare tea.
He re-entered the room with two plates of beans on toast on a tray with tow cups of sweet tea. Mia smiled fondly at him and gratefully took the plate of food. They sat together enjoying there food for a while. After they had finished Mia snuggled into his side mug of tea in hand. He kissed her forehead lovingly.
"Penny for your thoughts?"Tim suggested.
"I hope we've made the right choice moving into our own house, I feel so far away from everything I know. It's like living on our own world!" Mia worried. "What if your mum is lonely or takes a turn like she did with Teddy and has nobody with her?"
"Stop fretting!" Tim soothed. "This is a fresh start and some independence for us. We are nearly 20 Mia. I think it's about time that we got our own house!"
Mia smiled and nodded in agreement.
"It isn't all bad, at least we can do what we want and don't have to worry about interruption," Tim said suggestively.
"Oh Timothy Turner!" Mia smirked. She smiled and turned of the lamp.
