A raven-haired young boy was walking around the streets of Odaiba.

"I only have a few weeks left before I move." He said out loud.

It turns out he was moving soon, so he decided to make these last three weeks in Odaiba the best.

He stared directly up into the sky.

"Mom told me that we're moving to Kanto where my dad lives. I can't wait to see what my new home looks like and what future is in store for me." The boy thought to himself, excited to head to Kanto.

Just then, he heard a cry for help and went to the park to find the source. A young brunette-haired girl wearing a yellow shirt, pink nascot and shorts had collapsed. Nobody was nearby causing the boy to become concerned as he made his way over to her.

"Hang on, I'll take you to a hospital." He said, lifting the young girl up and noticing a police officer up ahead.

"Officer, she needs help and we need to go to the hospital!" The boy told the female officer who could clearly see the girl wasn't feeling well. The officer drove the two to the hospital.

A short time later...

The girl was laying on a hospital bed as one of the doctors looked at the boy.

"It was very brave for you to help her and you should stay until her parents arrive." The doctor instructed. The boy nodded and took a seat in one of the chairs. The girl's eyes slowly opened.

"Where am I?" The girl asked out loud, confused.

"The hospital. I discovered you collapsed in the park and helped bring you here."

"Thank you." The girl said in appreciation with a smile on her face.

"You're welcome. I'm Ash Ketchum, by the way." Ash introduced herself to the girl.

"Nice to meet you Ash. I'm Kari Kamiya." Kari introduced herself as well.

"Kari, that's one nice name." Ash said as the pair laugh simultaneously and then look at each other.

"Do you have any friends?" Ash asked. Kari shook her head no as Ash smiled.

"It's alright, we can be friends Kari." Ash told her. Kari smiled at the fact she and Ash were close friends.

(A week later)

Kari was discharged from the hospital and spent time with her new friend Ash.

The two were enjoying a soda on a sunny day in the park. Kari enjoyed hearing Ash read the story of the legendary hero Sir Aaron and his partner Lucario that his parents told him.

Ash then shared a joke with Kari, causing her to laugh.

"Ash, you're very kind and fun to hang out with." Kari said as Ash smiled.

"Thanks Kari and you're the first friend I've had." Ash replied before noticing his mother approaching them.

"Ash, I brought you and your friend some sandwiches." Delia said as she handed Ash and Kari the sandwiches.

"Thanks mom." Ash told her in appreciation as she went inside. Kari looked at him.

"Your mom is nice." Kari said.

"Yeah, she's always there for me." Ash replied. Kari wanted to ask him something.

"Where's your father Ash?" Kari questioned.

"My dad's on a journey to be a Pokemon master. And when I grow up I will be one as well." Kari then noticed the boxes.

"Sorry Kari, we're moving to the Kanto region." Ash told her. "I wanted to let you know, but was afraid you would be upset."

Kari flashed a smile.

"It's alright Ash. It's great that you're moving to Kanto so you can achieve your dream."

Kari then held something out to Ash. It was a necklace with a diamond shaped shield on it.

"This is a symbol of our friendship." Kari explained before wrapping her arms around Ash's neck. Ash stared at it and then looked at Kari.

"Thanks Kari." He sincerely said before giving her a hug. There was a smile on her face as Ash let go. Then he smiled back at her.

"I'll never forget you. You were the first friend I made in Odaiba." Ash told her.

He then heard his mother's voice from the moving truck.

"Ash, time to go!" Delia shouted.

"Coming mom." Ash waved goodbye to Kari.

"Goodbye Kari and thanks for the present." Ash said as Kari waved back at him and watched the truck drive off. A frown then formed on her face.

"Goodbye Ash, I'll miss you." Kari walked away from the empty house.

(6 years later)

We find ourselves in the Kanto region, a place that creatures known as Pokemon call home. Pokemon can be used for a wide array of reasons. Within Viridian Forest was a teenage boy with raven colored hair. By his side is a small yellow mouse with a lightning bolt shaped tail. Their names are Ash Ketchum and Pikachu. The two had returned to Pallet Town to celebrate his victory in the Kalos League. He also saved the Kalos Region from Lysandre and Team Flare.

"I can't wait to tell everyone about my victory in the Kalos League." Ash told his companion.

"Pika!" The mouse squeaked happily. It seems Pikachu was happy that Ash won the Kalos League.

"This is great buddy." Ash looked to the side and saw his hometown Pallet Town in the distance. The two make their way to Pallet Town as Ash's house came into view. A few seconds later the pair run in only to see the lights were off.

"Hey, where is mom?" Ash asked out loud. Then the lights turned on.

"Surprise!" It turns out his mom was with Prof. Oak, his grandson Gary and his travel companions Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn, Iris and Cilan. Clemont, Bonnie and Serena were there as well. They had planned a surprise party for him.

"Guys it's great to see you again!" Ash shouted as his friends approached him.

"We never forgot you. You're our friend Ash." Max said as Iris walked towards him.

"Okay, I admit it. You're not a kid Ash." Iris told him.

"Thanks guys." Ash said.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

"Ash we heard rumors that you and your Greninja can become one. Are they true?" Prof. Oak asked.

"Yes, it's true." Ash nodded. "Greninja and I share a strong bond."

Ash told him everything about his Greninja. Misty then stepped forward.

"Your party should begin Ash." Misty said.

He nodded and soon everyone was having the time of their life.

While the party was in full swing Delia came over to her son.

"Ash, it's great that you were triumphant in the Kalos League. I'm so proud of you and your father would be proud for you too." Delia said as she was so happy for her son.

"Thanks mom." Ash thanked his mom. Gary then walked up to him.

"Hey Ash, we should have a battle to determine who's the best." Gary said. May proceeded to separate the two.

"Not now Gary. Ash just got back to Kanto and he needs a vacation." She told Gary.

Everyone else agreed with her decision to let Ash take a break from Pokemon battles.

"Ash, you definitely need a vacation after all the Pokemon battles you participated in." Dawn said. Ash realized everything they said was true. The Pokemon battles were draining and he needed to recharge his energy. He then looked at his friends.

"You guys are right." He said out loud. "I should get away from all of this for the time being."

"And I know just the place for you to go." Delia said. "Why not go pay Odaiba a visit."

Ash was surprised by her vacation destination choice.

"Odaiba, I haven't been there in a while. Perhaps I will go." Ash said to himself as he headed upstairs. Pikachu followed him.

"Mom's right. I should go to Odaiba and relax Pikachu." Ash told his companion as Pikachu jumped up onto his shoulder.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

Ash then spotted a necklace with a diamond shaped shield that a old friend gave to him a long time ago then put it around his neck.

"I never forgot the person who gave this to me. I hope to see her again." Pikachu was confused by Ash's statement before he decided to go to sleep.

"Tomorrow we'll be on the road again Pikachu and I'll bring my Pokemon with me so you won't be all alone." Ash told Pikachu as they fell asleep.

(The next morning)

Ash was now sporting his Kalos outfit and red hat as he headed downstairs and saw his mother.

"Ash, you got ready rather quickly." Delia said.

"Yes I am. I'm going to head to Prof. Oak's lab to get some more Pokemon." Ash told her as his mother nodded.

"Sure thing son and farewell." Ash waved goodbye to his mother and walked out the front door to Prof. Oak's lab. As Ash made it to the lab, he found Prof. Oak waiting for him.

"Hello there Ash. What brings you here?" Prof. Oak asked.

"I'm here to get five of my Pokemon to accompany me and Pikachu to Odaiba so Pikachu won't be lonely." Ash explained the reason for his visit. Prof. Oak nodded.

"Go right ahead." Ash headed to the ranch behind the lab to choose which Pokemon would be going with them. Nearby three familiar faces were watching him.

"There he is!" Jessie shouted. She was spying on Ash through a pair of binoculars.

"We just need to capture Pikachu and give him to the boss." James said.

"I want to know where he's going. We heard he's taking a vacation." Meowth added.

"Too bad we're going to ruin it." Jessie smirked. They noticed Ash leave the ranch.

"So Ash have you decided what Pokemon you're taking with you?" Prof. Oak asked.

"That's right and I'm heading off. See you Prof. Oak." Ash ran off with Pikachu in tow. Team Rocket spotted him running down the road and headed towards their balloon. They would never give up trying to capture Pikachu. The two head to Vermilion City and see the ferry that would take them to Odaiba. As he purchased the ferry ticket, everyone stared at him. He was well known for winning the Kalos League. A blush appeared on his face as the girls winked at him. Then the ferry set off for Odaiba.

'This is going to be a great vacation.' Ash thought to himself. The necklace was around his neck and he looked at it.

'I wonder what interesting things she experienced since I moved to the Kanto region.' Ash thought as the ferry headed to Odaiba. What will Ash experience there.

(The Digital World)

"Run for your lives. It's the evil Digimon Emperor!" A wild Digimon shouted as other Digimon were captured by black rings and in the air Digimon that looked like a unicorn with wings got captured as well. Most the Digimon who were captured are now sporting red eyes.

Somewhere in the woods a white cat with two clawed-gauntlets and a golden tail was running for its life as one of those black ring chased it. The cat's golden ring started to glow and the ring just fell to the ground.

"That was close." The cat said in a female voice. But her peace would soon be shattered as the unicorn had a red visor color on his helmet to symbolize that he was under the control of the emperor. A pulse of energy formed from his mouth, as he fired it the then screamed.

(Odaiba)

Ash admired the river's crystal clear water from the deck of the ferry. He recalled all the adventures he had been involved in and all the evil teams he had defeated over the years. There's one group that proved to be a real thorn in his side, the trio of Jessie, James and Meowth. They constantly follow him trying to take his Pikachu and other people's Pokemon.

Ash then sees Odaiba in the distance as the ferry got closer to port.

"It's great to be back." Ash said to himself as Pikachu saw Odaiba for the first time.

"That's right buddy. I lived here once. This is where our vacation begins." The two then run towards the city to enjoy the wonders it offered.
