Zak had just returned to the land of the living, he was in a deep state of confusion since the last thing he remembered was jumping to second death. Slowly coming into awareness he recognised the cool breeze hitting hit flesh as that of the surface raids of the past, It hit like punch to the gut. Even on a cloudy day the sun's beams forced him under a near by tree for shade.

Misplaced in this new environment he marches on coming into eye contact with someone who looked like his son. To his shock the Drizzt that stood before him wasn't the same little boy anymore, in what felt like a couple of seconds his little dancer was over a decade old and married to a human. With the added news of a baby Zak retreats to the room his son had offered.

In such a short amount of time he had to come to terms with this new reality, struggling to cope as everything creeps around him. Everything was peaceful, at no point was he going to be disturbed by someone braking in or rummaging through his weapon shelves. He couldn't make up his mind to whether this was relaxing or unnerving.

He was free...why didn't he feel free?

Laying upon the bed he attempted to sleep, hoping it will be as nice as the one before his death.

Something was wrong, in his dream he found himself In front of the do'urden compound with an unrecognisable figure standing before him with a child holding onto his leg. Zak attempted to get the man attention to the sounds of muffled voices.

Before he knew it the child had grabbed his leg.

"My Sire says you're going to take care of me!?"

Instantly he recognised them little green eyes as she gleefully smiled.

Waking in a sweat Zak ran to the washroom to splash some water onto his face. What the heck was happening, he had never had a dream so vivid.
