After I dropped off some enchanted shoes for a death girl and got some real money for them I just wondered around the shopping district in places I had yet to be.

The furniture store was depressing to me. They had pedestals of large books that you just flip through to be magically delivered to your room and it just did not feel like shopping.

I was bored and found my way into a pet shop.

There was a bunch of animals in cages from a small dog on fire to a tiny little dragon. I smiled bending down at this adorable cat that sneezed and a electric shock ran through her like it was normal.

"These are not for a wizard of your caliber."

I looked at the weird man confused, is he calling me weak?

"We got pet's for the strong in the back." I guess not. I stood up straight confused. "I can tell by your outfit your just passing through." and he walked into a back door a I followed curious.

Suddenly I was in a dark room with rows of large cages.

I peered in the first, a racoon was laying sadly in a cage with a stone floor. "Ya that guy is rare, hard to find that kind of pet, you have a good eye."

I did not speak but racoons are everywhere on earth. "How did you get it?"

"Some random wizard just did not want him anymore." I felt sad for this creature but also curious. Was there a wizard on earth?

Something about him made me excited, a tiny amount of hope filled me.

It looked at me like he understood us speak, his eye's filled with sadness pulling at my heart.

In the next cage was this yellow and black wolf, almost as big as me. It growled at us laying on the cold looking ground. "Ya the animals back here are hard to raise, some even angry but such a strong wizard I am sure you can control one."

I just stayed quiet and looked into the next cage.

Then there was this huge brown fat frog.

I just turned to leave feeling bad for all these animals. I wanted to let them all out but then where would they go, they would be caught and brought back here.

I needed to leave.

I looked at the poor raccoon again I almost walked away but I stopped at it again. "Hi." I squatted and looked at it. His sad eye's landing on me. "Where are you from?" It just placed his head on his little hand feet and I swear he sighed. "How hard is it to own a pet, what do I do with it?" I asked the man who looked down on me confused.

"Well, they live in your home or follow you around, most fight along side you, that is why wizards get pets." He walked closer. "This guy has been here for a while as he has no special spell or ability, he is just rare."

"How much?"

"Well, rare makes it higher and not a fighter makes it lower so about 100g."

I pressed my chest lightly so he does not know and checked my money. I have it and some as I did math in my head, I get money in a week and if I make more clothes I should be fine.

"Would you like to come home with me." He looked up, I could see it in his eye's he fully understood me. "Ya?" He stood up slowly like his legs hurt.

I bought a bed and food bowls and a small toy unsure if they act like cats and like to destroy things. Never had one before. He tried to sell me pellets, like a bad version of dog food but I know racoons love garbage and human food so I will just give him leftovers or something, probably more healthy then whatever that was.

The poor thing could barely walk so I picked it up and cuddled it a little nervous but he let me. He shifted into me sadly. I did always love racoons but they are scary to get near so I am nervous I made a mistake.

I got myself and him some food and headed home. I sat and fed him as he laid on something soft, he was nervous but slowly took it with his tiny hands.

"I need to learn balance, I was wondering if I could go to Marleybone?" I stood nervously in front of the Headmaster. He looked at me in thought.

"Honestly you need to go to the school in Krokotopia." I nodded confused. "But, you can not go alone." I stood there quietly. "Got friends?" That made my shoulders sink.

"Not really sir."

He walked to the door and I followed as we stared at the commons. "You, Boris." I saw Nolan's friend. "I have a quest for you." A quest eh? He is calling it a quest? He walked over serious as everyone is when they talk to this guy.

"Grab one more and take her to Krokotopia." He nodded looking at me before he turned away.

"Meet with us in one hour at Bartleby." I nodded excited and scared to go somewhere else, to see this spiral. I was picturing this small universe with stars and planet's as you fly around.

I got as ready as I could.

"Hey bud, I am going for a little while." I put food in his bowl. "Just try and feel better, I am sorry but you can't walk." I reached out and he let me pet him, closing his eye's and just sitting there. "Okay."

Walking over there was Nolan.

Of fucking course, he makes me want to hide in myself.

They both gave me a cold nod and I followed them inside the Ravenwood tree when we came to a door. I was so confused as I watched them and the door opened. Nolan pushed me first into the bright light.

I felt twisted and sick like I was torn to pieces as I stood in another room bending over like I was about to ralph.

"Well, she did not scream." Boris laughed making Nolan shake his head before they walked up some stairs pretending I was right behind them. I just grabbed my stomach and stood there trying to not be dizzy, they just left me behind.

"Ass makes ass friends." I said alone in the room.

It did feel like I spiraled but that is a dumb name for just a door.

The key thing makes sense now.

I started to feel better and headed the way they did.

I tried to find them in the bustling floating city of pyramids, exactly like the ones from home. People always thought people did not build them and I wonder if maybe they were right. There was many races I never seen before hanging around a long line of open shops with stuff laying all over the ground on blankets.

Peering over I could just fall into a nothing void of light sky and clouds.

"Where would I go?" I said quietly.

"You die." Boris spoke with a small cracked smile, Nolan walked close and he pushed me, I panicked as I fell off the world. I fell only a little before I was not moving. I looked up at him pissed as this wind came to me and lifted me back to the ground kindly.

They laughed as I tried to stand up shaky.

"Come on slow poke." Boris nodded my way and we headed down the large and filled area, at least this one gave me a friendly smile.

We stepped on a floating ship, I was gripping the sides for life as I looked down scared and interested making them laugh at me but I let it flow off of me. Like the school there was no up or down just nothing but air.

Ya I will be fine but it was still nerve wracking.

No idea how the sun rises and set's in these places but with magic I was sick of trying to find the logic.

I carefully stepped my foot down on the floating wood attached to a floating island gripping the pole of the ship.

"Come on move faster." Nolan spoke almost pushing me again as I quietly made a tiny noise and we walked forward making me feel embarrassed and massively annoyed.

I wanted to yell at him to stop pushing me but it would not come out.

They took me down some weird ladder and I found myself in an old abandoned class room. Sand filling up the corners, a ratty old book just laying there but there was this weird looking thing that turned to great us.

Boris shoved me forward. "We will be outside." And I was left alone with this strange creature.

I gave a small wave. "Hi" He nodded at me curious as to who I was. To be kind I slid down my mask and pulled down my hood. "I am a new balance wizard, with no real skill and am here to learn... something, anything really." He smiled at me and waved me into a seat.

"My, my, It has been a long while, I did miss teaching."

I was unsure how long I took, he told me things no one else had, some history some understanding Balance and then taught me some spells due to my inexperience I will have to come back at some point.

One was called weakness. The opposite of my damage boost, it lowers damage and that is fucking cool.

But the second was cooler, I could start a wind storm, he said it would take some practice but if used well enough can block vision with ease making it hard for people to see, sadly, including myself.

He told me that the big spells, the ones that I could use to fight need to be found in myself and somehow involves matching together other elements. If I figure it out I can come back and he can throw me idea's but it is on me to find the way I use the connected spells.

Suddenly I understood that one achievement. Connect three?

I climbed up the dusty ladder and looked around the almost empty area. There was one small building nearby looking like a food place, I walked over to find them when I noticed and pulled my hood back up.

They were eating. "Took you long enough." Nolan spoke. Man why do they hate me? Well Nolan dislikes me and he probably said none nice things to his friend.

I sat down awkwardly in wait for them to finish as they were almost done.

"She is so quiet." Boris spoke making fun of me I sunk more into myself. "So, learn anything?" Boris asked and I nodded. "Show us." He smiled at me, I got another smile? I can be happy about that. I pulled out my wand and pointed weakness as him.

He started to glow yellow.

"Damn I feel." He sighed. "Heavy."

"The other I can't do in here." I spoke quietly.

He stood up. "Let's see."

I wanted to say, I may fail but I could not as we stood alone on a large patch of open sand. Nolan looking around with his hands in his pockets like he wanted to be anywhere else.

I focused and slowly the wind started to pick up, faster and faster as sand was being pulled from the ground when I heard a ding, my page flashed in my head and there was the achievement.

'Become a balance wizard.' I smiled behind my mask making me drop my spell.

"What was that noise?" Boris asked looking around.

"I think it came from her." They both stared at me. I was on the verge of laughing but I could not tell them. I don't know them.

There, it gave me a spell point.

It does do something.

I still am unsure what that does.

I tried to press my chest without being seen to close the page and then looked at them. Boris staring at me like I was being the weirdest person he ever seen. I am sure Nolan looks at me like that a lot. It is hard to see those pretty eye's.

I would ask why the hood but even I don't have an answer.

After an awkward second as we all just stood there we headed home.

I walked in and found my new pet inside my pillow that was torn up all over my floor, I was unsure if I loved or hated that as he looked so darn cute, stepping forward my head bashed on something making me fall into the door.

"The fuck." I grabbed it looking up.

A black mailbox just floated in the air, I slowly opened it and found a note.

Hello.

I was hoping you can make me a full outfit for Fire, reds, yellows, oranges.

Hat, robe, shoes. The strongest enchants you can make for fire.

My friend showed me the boots you made her and I am in love with them please something similar. I have money to burn, thanks, my name is Feelia.

I let it go as it floated over to my desk and sat there. I would love the money for this so I got right to it.

My racoon jumped onto my desk dragging the pillow case with some of what was left inside and sat down next to me watching what I was doing.

"Walking better now?" I asked it. He just got comfertable , must of just been the hard floor to poor guy was stuck on. "Good, I need to name you."
