You know what they don't tell you about being a demigod? It's like being on steroids and acid all the time. I'm serious, it's a fucking trip and a half. I'm stronger than pretty much everyone my age, I see fucking creatures like hellhounds, harpies, and all other kinds of bullshit. Plus this reincarnation fuckery piled on top of all of it makes for a lovely triple layer cake of terrible.

My only saving grace is that I'm not the only one who got sent here. Neither of us remember who we were before, just that we weren't where we were supposed to be. This wasn't our world, these were not our cities, and these weren't our lives. My cousin is the only one who remembers our old world. The only one who knows that it shouldn't be 2006. We woke up here without rhyme or reason and we planned to make it everyone else's problem. I knew exactly what world this was as soon as I had seen a casino that had never been there before.

The Lotus Hotel Casino. The updated home of the lotus eaters. We had seen it when we were on a "family outing" and it had hit me like a ton of bricks. We were demigods. Thrice damned demigods. A cruel punishment for me for a life cut short. But where had my dear cousin come from? Another who had taken the cowards way out? An unfortunate accident? Something was amiss.

And so, we knew what had to be done. We confronted our parents with what we had seen. And it was off to camp. No preamble, no preparation, nothing. Just a 'pack up some bags and get ready', and we were off. Since we were still rather young, i was around 12 and my cousin was about 10, our demigod scent wasn't too powerful. So the trip wasn't too eventful. I soaked up as much of the peace as I could, knowing that as soon as Percy 'About that action' Jackson got to camp it would be a shit show. Before three days had passed we had made it to Long Island and half-blood hill.

February 10, 2006. About a month and some change before percy was supposed to show up. Knowing how absolutely fucked fate could be, i had no doubt we would end up in the middle of all the action before long. Not a lot of time to train, but it would have to do. Hopefully whatever olympians had made us wouldn't leave us unclaimed.
