My Little Pony: My Best Diamond's Wedding

Chapter 1: Welcome to Ponyville

Scorching desert wind rushed against the giant locomotive its passengers remaining blissfully unaware of the brewing storm, it was something the young stallion currently riding the locomotive was quite familiar with by now. Grumbling just a little he stretched out before looking down at his own feet, after several hours on the locomotive he was beginning to lose sensation in them. Reaching down into his backpack the young stallion pulled out a letter, glancing over it once more he quickly shoved the note back into his knapsack when a young cold rushed by him. Despite being a little frustrated at the young colt's actions he couldn't resist smiling, children were rushing back and forth with a childlike wonder and innocence that he kinda envied.

"Alright everyone we'll be reaching our final destination soon please make sure you don't leave any belongings on the locomotive and we're glad you joined us for our journey." A voice explained over the car's loud speaker, grabbing his backpack the young stallion zipped it up before yawning. Giving the nearby child a quick wink he reached into the bag and pulled out a vase of flowers, motioning for the colt's mother she quickly grabbed the vase before smiling at him with a knowing grin. Knowing his own blundering she'd probably gotten a view of them when he'd gotten on at the earlier station, it wasn't like he'd done a very good job of hiding them. Considering his family's reputation maybe it wasn't that surprising he didn't like keeping things hidden, according to his own mother visiting his cousin would help the young stallion experience new well for lack of a better word experiences.

"Just make sure you keep them watered." the young stallion explained as the mare nodded, it wasn't like she'd never planted flowers before although she appreciated his concern. Getting up from his chair the young stallion inhaled deeply, it was a dry air but one he'd come to love and in this case miss. Seconds later the engine clattered before it started pulling into their destination, it was a town he'd become quite familiar with over the last couple of years but it always felt like him. Before he could get very far there was a light tug on his sleeve, glancing down the young colt who'd nearly knocked his letter outta the stallion's hand was looking up at him with tears in his eyes.

"I can't find mommy." the little guy cried as the young stallion groaned in frustration, knowing his cousin she'd probably lecture him about being late. Grabbing the younger colt's hand it was gonna be a long search for the kid's mother, after searching their entire car he realized the colt's mother was in a different one. Opening the nearby door he began looking for the colt's mother, it was a slow and frustrating process but seeing the little kid grinning was enough to keep him moving. After what felt like an eternity the young colt's eyes lit up and he took off running, eventually he stopped at the bench where his mother sat crying until the mare saw her child and began laughing.

"I can't thank you enough, we've discuss it countless times but he just keeps wondering off." She explained before looking at her child with an understanding yet firm gaze, it was only natural for a child to explore but you needed to set limits. Giving her a quick smile the young stallion began making his way off the locomotive and searching for his cousin. After countless minutes the young stallion felt a tapping on his shoulder, swiveling around his gaze landed up the dark blue mare with rainbow hair.

"Seems you're running behind eh cousin?" Rainbow dash explained as the young stallion nodded in agreement, unlike his cousin the young stallion wasn't quite as obsessed with being on time. Despite knowing it was accurate the young stallion didn't like her jokes, it was difficult enough coming here alone without the mare chastising him. Grinning as he watched the young colt step down from the dinning car he remembered it was nice helping others, it was beginning to feel like helping other people might've been his calling. Before he could react the colt ran up and began hugging the stallion, it was a little awkward since they weren't related but once it passed the embrace felt kinda nice.

"Mom said it was okay so ummm... I just wanted to say thank you for helping me." the little colt explained as the stallion gave a quick thumbs up, scurrying back to his mother the young stallion couldn't help thinking about one day becoming a father. According to his mother several young mare's would've been lucky if he'd chose them, unfortunately letting his parent's choose a mate while easy just didn't feel right. Deciding it was probably better if he got out and experienced life it meant he would choose his own mate, actually there was one girl already in his mind and thankfully she was his cousin's friend.

"I wanted to thank you as well mister... we never did get your name." the colt's mother explained as the young stallion blushed, it was kinda embarrassing having someone thanking him. Grinning a little the stallion reached into his bag and pulled out a cloth, wrapping it around his fist the young man presented to an excited colt. Reaching out he grabbed it nearly laughing when it started glowing, seconds later the young colt's name was embroidered onto the bright yellow star on it's lower right corner.

"Stardust Crusader." Stardust replied as the colt began shaking his palms, it was enough to make him blush even deeper before his cousin eventually intervened. Regardless of his desire to assist others it was just a matter of time before his nerves got frazzled, she'd already gotten used to being a center of attention so letting the mare handle it would be much easier. Giving the colt a high-five the young mare explained it was something he kept so they could remember everyone he rescued or assisted, waving goodbye both mother and child resumed walking no doubt heading to a nearby dwelling.

"Just can't resist playing hero eh cousin, despite getting new muscles and packing some heat for the ladies you're the same old do gooder." Rainbow explained as the young stallion's already red face turned super deep crimson, it was beyond embarrassing hearing the young mare talking about his body. Although he'd been working out during the last couple of years it was still embarrassing, especially since his own mother no doubt told his cousin about needing to choose a mate. Since he was an only child their best hope of carrying on the family name was if the young stallion had kids, as such his mother was being pretty insistent about him finding someone.

"Dashie we're cousins, you shouldn't even be thinking about my lady pleaser." Stardust replied kinda meekly in hopes that nobody else would hear their discussion, it was pretty busy at their station but knowing his cousin it was just a matter of time before she began yelling for girls to check him out. Considering everything he'd read about the young mare's adventures she was probably in contact with many different villages, it made for a interesting and dramatic read but it wasn't the kind of adventure he was looking for right now.

"Come on yourself any mare would be luck if she got to have you for a night or two, although knowing you it's a certain mare with diamonds on her flank occupying your dreams." Rainbow Dash explained before winking at the young stallion who blushed in reply, actually she was right on the mark but he didn't feel like now was a good time for discussing his ideal mate. Grabbing his bags from underneath the passenger car it was a little heavy, unfortunately his only chance of getting outta the house was by convincing his mother the young stallion would bunk alongside his cousin until they found him a suitable mate. Since it was his only chance the young stallion was also carrying most his outfits in the bag, giving him a knowing chuckle the mare grabbed his secondary bag.

"She probably doesn't even know about me." Stardust replied as the young mare began chuckling, when he questioned the mare about her snickers it was almost like she clammed up. Any further questions were met by an very uncomfortable silence, it was almost like she'd planned it and that worried him. Dashie loved playing tricks on anyone she could including the mare's cousin, it was just a matter of time before she pranked him and with those snickers it might be something involving the mare in question.

"Come on you're probably famished right, we've got a spot waiting for us at the dinner." Rainbow explained as the young stallion looked at her questioningly, something was definitely up but he couldn't put his finger on it. Sudden his gut began rumbling effectively proving her correct, nodding in agreement they began walking to a dinner he loved. Before he could even open the door a pink mare rushed out and tackled him, she was dressed in a bright white shirt that had balloons over her chest. Groaning as he fell onto the ground she was unusually heavy, seconds later the young mare bounced up and extender her palm in order to get an bewildered stallion back on his feet.

"Dashie you never said family was visiting." Pinkie explained as the young stallion cracked his back, it was a sharp cracking noise and one which made the other customers wince. Growing up in a town where his family ran a gym it wasn't anything new, according to his father it was a sign that his muscles were still growing. Reaching for the nearby chair he pulled it out and sat down, dropping his bags it was a relief to unload if only for a moment. Before he could even look at the menu his cousin's friend rushed out with a cupcake, it was dark blue and sprinkled with green flakes on top.

"Consider it on the house, we're gonna be order more so it won't be a problem unless you don't like it?" Rainbow questioned as the young stallion bit into the pastry, it was pretty good until his mouth started watering. Giving her a questioningly look the young man wasn't about to let her see them in pain, although his composure remained largely unchanged it felt like opening his mouth would've resulted in a comedic fire belch. Chuckling the young mare offered him a glass of milk which the stallion quickly downed, it was enough to keep him from screaming in pain though it still burned.

"Wow that's impressive normally people are running into the bathroom crying from her pranks, wasabi cupcakes are difficult but she insisted you loved them." Pinkie explained as her own faced changed to a vicious smile, unable to hold it any longer the young stallion let out a exhausted croak. Due to exhaustion from riding in a bumpy locomotive car and now the overly spicy cupcake doing anything else was kinda impossible, downing the entire glass of milk it was enough to give him a momentary comfort. Setting it down with a loud clink he glared at both mares, eventually his anger passed when the stallion remembered his cousin's appetite for pranks.

"Could've been worse, at least she didn't choose a blueberry frosting." Stardust replied as the young mare gave him a shocked look as if those words offended her, she knew enough about him to recall blueberry was the stallion's worst allergy. During a family reunion he'd ate one before someone could explain they were frosted, moments later he'd puffed up so big everyone was afraid if they got near him it might end with a kaboom. Rainbow loved pranks but only if they were done in a joking manner, giving your cousin something which could injure them didn't exactly qualify. Besides she'd reserved a much better prank for him in a different location, just thinking about it was enough to give her a wicked smile like the mare was some kinda villain from an old Hearth'swarming movie.

"Dude you've got something on your fur." Pinkie explained as the stallion looked down at her finger, sure enough there was a glob of blue frosting on his normally white fur. Grabbing a napkin he dabbed it away before running a palm through his light green mane, it was part of the reason he'd begun using it and eventually his cutie mark reflected it. When his cutie mark didn't appear during his childhood it worried everyone in his family, then one day he'd stood up to a couple of bullied picking on a younger colt and it showed up. Dark blue shield with a couple of purple stars on it the cutie mark was everything he'd dreamed it would be, unfortunately it also meant everyone in his village expected the stallion to be a hero.

"Come on you know that's off limits, we'll need to be going soon have to make a quick stop before heading to my place." Rainbow explained as the pink mare nodded she understood, getting up from her chair the young stallion grumbled before standing as well. Getting up was proving difficult but he eventually pulled it off, grabbing an strawberry cupcake he quickly gobbled it up before looking over at the pink mare. Waving it off she explained he didn't need to give her anything since they'd pranked him, it was a nice gesture considering their prank was mostly harmless but he gratefully accepted. Joining his cousin on the main road it was pretty clear she wasn't done pranking him just yet, unfortunately knowing her it could be anything from a water balloon to firing him outta a cannon.

"So what's this last errand?" Stardust questioned as the young mare refused to answer, swinging a quick left the young mare began approaching her friend's shop. Based on his reaction the young stallion already knew her destination, seconds later they were outside a rather large shop which resembled a carousel. Grabbing the door she pulled it open but nobody answered despite a quick jingle of the bell, it wasn't like her friend to be absentee even if it was her lunch hour.

"I'll be down in just a second." A voice which caused him to brighten up explained from the other room, giving him a quick nod the young stallion dropped his bags. Despite knowing it was just a matter of time before his dream wife came into the room he was completely exhausted, glancing over at his cousin she was looking at dresses which instantly told him it was a prank.

She'd never willing look at dresses because in her words "they weren't aerodynamic." and therefore were more of a hassle than she'd prefer. Getting up from his chair the young stallion contemplated leaving until his cousin motioned to sit back down, grumbling a little he did as she requested but knew whatever she had planned wasn't good news.

"Darling it's been ages since we last chatted, unfortunately you caught me in the middle of designing a new part of my fashion line be honest do you think it's too erotic?" Rarity questioned as she entered wearing a completely see through outfit, it was beautiful although it revealed nearly everything. Stopping right in front of the young stallion his dream wife gave him bedroom eyes, getting up from his chair the young stallion was just about to give her an reply when his legs gave out. Before he even understood it the stallion entire body just crumpled into a mess, gazing up at the beautiful mare it was enough to make him question if this was Pastoria. Despite knowing it was just an outfit she looked naked as the day of her birth, therefore it wasn't surprising his reaction was to nearly pass out from joy upon seeing it.

"I think we might've broken him." Rainbow explained before she nearly passed out from laughing at her cousin, grabbing a nearby cup of water the mare with diamonds on her flank tossed it on the stallion. Sputtering he woke up long enough to see her outfit before explaining if this was his afterlife don't wake the stallion up, it was enough to make his dream wife start blushing as well. Grabbing a nearby coat she pulled it on in hopes of preventing the young stallion from passing out again, groaning as his eyes opened once more the sight of her clothed made it a little easier.

"Darling you've got to be more careful, when did you last eat something that had any real value." Rarity questioned as the stallion began thinking about her question, actually the stallion couldn't remember when he'd last eaten something of value. Although the locomotive had a dining car it was a bit fancier than his current attire so he'd avoided it, it meant he'd gone at least three days without eating something other than nut mix. Squealing at his response the diamond mare began searching through her refrigerator for anything he could eat, after several minutes the young mare returned carrying some kind of fancy and fetid cheese. Groaning a little the young stallion decided it was better than nothing, eating some he felt a little better although the dark blue mare was still laughing at her prank.

"Sorry cuz but you didn't see the look on your face, it was like you'd been dreaming of it for years." Rainbow Dash explained before starting up another wave of laughter, glancing over at the diamond mare she blushed at the look on his face. Despite having nearly a week to prepare for it she was quite nervous, it was very unladylike to dress in such attire but for the prank it was necessary. Seeing the look on his face actually made it better, it wasn't like she didn't know it would be his reaction although the fainting was a bit more than she expected.

"Alright we've had quite a laugh at his expense so let's move on before the poor stallion faints again okay darling?" Rarity questioned as the young stallion blushed once more, everything about her was just perfect and it meant he was in grave danger. Despite his best efforts the stallion's mind was already churning with an steamy image, she was beneath him crying out darling with each thrust and begging for his children. Brushing the image away he nodded before standing up and looking over at his cousin, she winked before grabbing at the young man's shaky wrist and pulling him up.

"Dashie you're a monster." Stardust explained as the dark blue mare stuck her tongue out, it was a good joke and even if he didn't wanna admit it she'd gotten him. Despite a shaky beginning he eventually got back up and sighed before laughing as well, it was a dang good prank and she'd trapped him just right. Grabbing her wrist the stallion began using it to remain standing, winking at him the diamond mare stepped behind a curtain and resumed dressing. After everything the stallion had just been through it wasn't exactly a normal introduction to his new residence, even so if this was any indication he might end up staying here and if the stallion got really lucky it wouldn't be alone.
