My little Pony: My Diamond Friend's Wedding

Chapter 2: Daring Darling

Blushing as she reemerged from the dressing room her friend's cousin whistled in appreciation, no longer dressed in sexy lingerie her new outfit was still dazzling. Consisting of a beautiful red evening gown it hugged the mare's body nicely, under different circumstances the mare wouldn't have dared stepping outside wearing it but this was different. Rainbow Dash insisted that her cousin would love it and based on the look on his face she was right, even if she didn't feel comfortable wearing it outside his face made it bearable. Suddenly her friend dashed into the backroom and returned carrying a box, opening it she pulled out a necklace made up of brilliant shimmering rubies.

"Darling it's a little embarrassing wearing an outfit like this and flashy jewelry." Rarity explained as her friend laughed before securing it around the mare's neck, before clasping it the young mare grinned explaining she needed help. Gesturing at her cousin the young stallion blushed a little upon touching her necklace, securing the necklace in place it made a audible clasping noise. Blushing even deeper the young mare explained she needed help with the outfit's zipper, visibly gulping the young stallion did as the mare requested and zipped up her outfit.

"Ooops I nearly forgot Twilight's supposed to go over my flight routine." Rainbow explained before winking at her cousin, she'd already done most of the heavy lifting for him. Considering everything she'd done up till now it wasn't that surprising, giving her a quick thumbs up her cousin looked over at the diamond mare who nodded in agreement. Dashing outside the young mare began shouting her friend's name, grinning at the abrupt exit her date looked nervous. Sliding her arm into place within his own the mare explained it was just a first date, actually she'd been thinking of him ever since the mare's friend booked a private table.

"Wait a second you're leaving me alone?" Stardust questioned as the blue mare nodded, clearly it wasn't the answer he expected because the young stallion was beginning to look nervous. Glancing over at the diamond mare she began chuckling at him, even if the young stallion was nervous the look on his face was actually pretty cute. Despite knowing it was only their first date her own stomach was full of butterflies, she'd originally rejected her friend's offer but then she remembered his previous visit.

"Darling a big stallion like yourself doesn't need their cousin's help." Rarity explained as the young stallion blushed, after their little prank she didn't realize it but that comment regarding his size was extremely accurate. Giving him a questioning look the young stallion brushed his thoughts aside, grabbing her purse the young mare slung it onto her back. Opening the door she ushered him outside before locking it, she didn't expect trouble but you didn't wanna risk having someone break in unless you couldn't help it.

"So where's our date?" Stardust questioned doing whatever he could to avoid faltering, despite always wanting this he couldn't believe it was really happening. Giggling at the look of excitement on his face the young mare was actually quite enthralled, she'd only met him once before and since it was many years ago he wasn't nearly as good looking. According to her friend she was his dream mate but the stallion didn't know his cousin revealed that dream, grabbing his palm the young mare was surprised by just how nice it felt wrapped inside her own.

"Dinner at our little town's best diner." Rarity explained as the young man nodded in excitement, it was actually famous outside their village as well but he'd never actually eaten there. Dashie for her part seemed to love it going so far as to mention it within several letters, according to her it recently began serving a corn tamale dish which everyone loved. Stepping onto the main road he began gazing at the many shops, when he'd visited several years earlier it wasn't anywhere near this massive.

"Sugar cube corner eh, that sounds wonderful but anything's good so long as you're there." Stardust explained as the mare blushed at his comment, it was almost like the young stallion knew exactly what could make the girl's heart rush. Grabbing his arm even tighter she was impressed by how chiseled it felt, it must've required a great deal of physical training on his part. Blushing as her mind wondered about other muscles it was a very unladylike thought, shoving it away the young woman continued making her way into their little village's best dinner.

"Quite the little charmer aren't you, very well but just remember keeping my attention isn't that easy." Rarity explained as the young man nodded in understanding, walking into the room everyone looked up from their meal staring at him. Despite knowing it was because of the young woman's outfit it still felt unusual, unlike his cousin the young stallion wasn't used to having so much attention on him. Grabbing her chair the young stallion pulled it out before smiling at her, setting her purse down in front of him the young mare gave him a quick wink.

"Guess that means you're somewhat curious about me?" Stardust questioned as the young mare blushed then nodded, she didn't remember much about the young stallion and much had changed since their last meeting. Back then he was a squirrel little unicorn more interest in books than mares, as she looked into his eyes the young woman realized it was no longer the case. Gazing into her eyes the young man wondered if she'd already tired of him, setting her palm inside the young stallion's his already red face turned deep crimson. Rarity was everything the young man wanted in a bride and she knew it, with any luck the young stallion could prove he'd be a really good mate as well.

"So what have you been doing all these years, well clearly you've been exercising on a daily basis?" Rarity questioned as the young stallion nodded in affirmation of her observation, it had started because of kids teasing him but now it was almost second nature for him. Getting up early was something he'd always loved but now the young stallion's mornings consisted of running and lifting weights, after finishing his reps the young stallion began his real work. Actually it was a pretty easy task since he'd always loved reading, becoming an editor just seemed like the next logical move and it was something he was really enjoyed.

"After graduating from college my ex-girlfriend and myself opened an editors service, we've only edited a couple of articles but one was about you." Stardust explained as the young woman blushed for several reasons, namely because the idea of him being with another mare kinda irked her. Considering the many different guys she'd hit on being upset was a little pathetic, even so the idea of anyone other than herself being the stallion's first upset her. Rainbow Dash had explained meeting the stallion would have a similar effect on her but she'd dismissed that as ridiculous.

"Darling any girl foolish enough to break up with you doesn't understand what she's given up, assuming it's not too personal can you tell me why?" Rarity questioned doing her best to keep a confused stallion in the dark, even if the young stallion didn't realize it mares were probably flocking around him. Strangely enough the guy was blissfully unaware of his own magnetic personality, actually it was kinda nice chatting with someone other than her usual dates which consisted of egotistical jerks. Blushing as the young man's hand encircled her own the young mare was lost in his eyes, seconds later the meals arrived with their serve giving him a little wink but the guy seemed unaware of her flirting.

"We're still really good friends but decided it was better if our private lives and vocational lives remained separate." Stardust explained before the young mare's eyes lit up, it meant there was still a chance of being his first. Blushing as she pushed the idea aside it felt oddly petty, she'd always prided herself on being ladylike and yet here she was thinking of him in an more intimate nature. Grabbing her dinner fork the young mare bit into the salad her friend recommended, it was full of strawberries and pecan which tasted really good.

"Dashie was right this is amazing, why don't you try a little bite?" Stardust explained as the guy cut a piece off for her and raised the bite up to her lips, giving him a little wink she bit into the food and moaned a little. Blushing as the young stallion gave her a confused look the girl wished she could disappear, after what felt like an eternity the stallion actually offered the girl yet another bite. Grinning as she took another bite the young stallion could imagine an life where it became a regular thing, assuming their dates kept being this wonderful it might actually happen.

"So are you going to be living here or just visiting?" Rarity questioned as the stallion nodded in affirmation, it was gonna be difficult finding a place but with his cousin's aid they'd eventually find one. Grabbing his fork the stallion bit into his own meal before gazing into her eyes, it was like gazing upon a brilliant sapphire adorned with countless glimmering orbs. Cursing himself for being unable to shelve his editor instincts for just one night the young stallion began reading the desert options, eventually his gaze settled on a decadent strawberry cake but looked over at his date who nodded frantically.

"We're gonna start looking for a place tomorrow, don't suppose you've got any ideas?" Stardust questioned as the beautiful mare gave him a little wink, she actually knew of a couple looking for a new tenant near her shop but enjoyed toying with him. Raising a single hand into the air she began running it through purple hair, grinning at her the stallion could already picture himself combing it for her after their nightly romp.

"I might know of a place but you've gotta earn it, don't worry it's nothing scandalous just helping me deal with an obstinate client." Rarity explained as the young man raised an eyebrow questioningly, digging into her purse the mare withdrew an order receipt before sliding it to him. Grabbing it the stallion began reading it and nearly choked on his water, written in big red letters was a name the young stallion never would've expected. Blinking a couple of times she nodded before grinning at him, gulping in reply the young stallion eventually nodded that'd he do as she requested.

"She's not gonna like it." Stardust explained as the purple haired mare laughed in reply, it was an accurate statement but one the mare knew wouldn't stop him. Grabbing his fork the young stallion cut off a piece of the desert, deciding to have a little fun the stallion raised it to his date's mouth. Chomping down on it the mare smiled before giving him a knowing wink, both of them knew exactly what each other was doing and loved every second of it. Upon finishing their desert a waitress placed the check down in front of the stallion who picked it up and read over it, after the stallion he pulled his date's chair out and offered her an arm which she gratefully accepted.

"Darling that was fabulous but considering it was my idea shouldn't it have been my treat?" Rarity questioned as the stallion gave her a knowing wink, explaining she could pay next time it meant he believed there would be another date. She didn't wanna let him know just yet but the mare was excited for another date, it was really nice dating someone who cared about her instead of droning on about their noble pedigree. Grinning when the stallion pulled her a little closer the mare blushed and gazed into his eyes, she'd never realized just how beautiful the dark green orbs really were until just now.

"So you've dated a lot of guys, did they leaven any impression or not really?" Stardust questioned as the mare gave him a questioning stare, it might've escaped his attention but that sounded like a question about her virginity. Despite knowing it wasn't his intention the young mare couldn't help blushing, sitting down on a nearby bench they noticed a couple making out. Giving them a quick wink both smiled and returned his gesture, under different circumstances he would've applauded their efforts but right now he was a little preoccupied.

"Darling if you wanna know a ladies secrets you'll need to divulge your own first." Rarity explained turning it around on her new date, blushing profusely the young stallion looked over at the nearby couple. Despite his best efforts the young stallion couldn't help wondering if they'd be in a similar position before long, it would be a dream come true but until it happened there were more important discussions in his future. Getting up from the bench he looked at his dream mate and nodded in acceptance, stealing himself for what came next the young man looked into her eyes.

"Actually you're kinda my first real date, sure we dated but it was never serious between myself and the ex girlfriend." Stardust explained as the mare blushed in reply, everyone she'd dated up till now loved boasting about their conquests. Grinning at him she reached into the purse at her side and pulled out a napkin, grabbing a pen she began writing it on blushing deeper with each letter. Before long she put the writing utensil back into her purse and sat the napkin down in his palm, opening it the stallion began reading it and when he'd finished both of them were a very deep red.

"So what's new in your business?" Stardust questioned as the young mare exhaled in relief, despite being completely honest with each other both of them appreciated his new question. Draping her arm over the young stallion's chest it was quite large, it was pretty obvious she'd done it before and it made him nervous. College years aside he'd never really dated and even during those years it was rather sparingly, even his previous girlfriend commented on his massive frame but they never did anything more.

"Getting ready for a new venture, actually if you're willing having some assistance would be nice." Rarity explained as the young man looked at her visibly confused, it wasn't that he didn't feel like helping the mare but she only designed women's clothes. Despite editing countless articles on such clothes he really didn't know much about them, most of the research was done by his co-editor but if there was something he could do it might improve their new relationship.

"Sure thing but women's clothes isn't really my thing." Stardust explained as the mare grinned in reply, it wasn't female clothing she needed his assistance with but it could wait for now. Getting up from the bench she wrapped her arms inside the stallion's, it was getting late and the stallion needed a place to crash.

"We can discuss it tomorrow right now we should probably meet back up with you cousin." Rarity explained as the young stallion nodded in agreement, walking down the mane road she contemplated giving him another kiss on the cheek. Deciding to go for it she pulled him into a deep kiss but on his lips, when she'd finished the young man looked at her with surprise etched on their face. Grinning as the stallion pulled her back into another kiss it was unbelievably passionate, seconds later the young man broke off and resumed their walk.

"Got any idea where she is?" Stardust questioned as the mare nodded before giving him a suggestive wink, guiding him down another road before stopping in front of a large building. Castle would've been a more accurate description because it was quite elegant, it wasn't the kind of place his sister visited but the mare gave him a slight nod confirming it was their destination. Grabbing the door she opened it before nearly laughing at the confused and extremely shocked look on his face, staring at his cousin the man didn't have any response for what laid in front of his eyes. Buried in the flier's shapely legs a mare was eagerly kissing her petals, covering his eyes the young stallion wondering if this could be another one of her jokes or something far more interesting.
