Bruno stayed up all night with the large man's arms wrapped around him. He didn't sleep a wink and did not move out of fear that his captor might try to repeat everything all over again. The prophet wanted to knock on wood badly to prevent a jinx. Tears streamed down his face and he started to shake from the anxiety. It would happen again, wouldn't it? He tried to hold back a sob but it came out as a whine. Andre snorted in his sleep, released Bruno, and rolled to face the other way.

The older man quickly and lightly knocked on the bed side table, "Knock, knock, knock. Knock on wood," He whispered not letting his eyes leave the other man's back, willing him to stay asleep. When the burly man did not move, Bruno stood up from the bed and crept to the fallen clothes on the floor.

He was in a tremendous amount of pain, but ignored it in favor of pulling on his pants and ruana quickly and searching Andre's clothes for a key to the front door. He checked all the pockets but could find nothing. Bruno held back a frustrated sob and made his way to different parts of the house, searching through drawers and cabinets desperately.

Unable to find anything he stood by the window looking for any one passing by. Judging by what he could tell, it was the middle of the day and they were in the woods. Trying not to hyperventilate, he tried to think of a plan.

He didn't know how to pick a lock. Breaking the window would wake Andre. This house was sealed. There was no way out. He was panicking. His breath became rapid. His assailant was going to keep him trapped here forever. His family wouldn't look for him forever, they eventually had to move on. They'd go back to not talking about him, and he would become a boogeyman to future generations, Camilo would see to that. Did his nephew still see him as a monster? Bruno didn't know.

He couldn't stay here. He'd never see his family again. He didn't care how they saw him, he loved them. Even a bad escape attempt had benefits, he was sure of that. Bruno looked around for something to protect himself in order to break the window. He located a bucket and quickly put it on his head. He aimed at the window and ran full force. The bucket slammed right into the window cracking it, and he fell backwards in a daze.

"What do you think you are doing," An angry voice flooded Bruno's veins with adrenaline. He lifted the bucket to see a double vision of Andre looking pissed.

.=.

Mirabel, Camilo, and Dolores all agreed that there was no time to spare in going to Andre's house for answers. Should they run in to their family; the more the merrier. But as they got closer to the outskirts of town and closer to Andre's house, it seemed they might be on their own.

"Which house is his?" Camilo asked impatiently.

"I'm not sure," Mirabel responded walking quickly passed houses, "We might need to ask for directions." Suddenly Dolores stopped as her brother and cousin walked ahead. She heard something. It sounded like a faint thump and the slow crack of glass. She looked to the direction of the noise and started to walk toward it. Camilo almost didn't see her leave in a different direction.

"Mirabel," he called, "Look, I think Dolores heard something." They quickly caught up to her and she lead them to a window of a small house surrounded by trees far from the other houses. She can still hear the glass slowly splitting.

They crouched by the window and peered inside. And there inside was their tio being dwarfed by a angry looking menacing man. They couldn't hear anything, but saw him shouting at Bruno, as their tio coward in fear. The large man then grabbed the smaller, and pulled him close caressing his check. It was an odd sight to see. Andre then kissed Bruno and started to lift the ruana. It was obvious the smaller man was uncomfortable and it didn't take any time at all for the three would-be-rescuers to know what was going on.

Camilo started to pound on the window yelling for Andre to stop what he was doing. Mirabel and Dolores didn't have a chance to tell him that this was a bad idea and a better plan was needed. The glass of the window fractured more and finally gave away breaking to pieces. Camilo's shouting could be heard now. "Leave him alone!"

"Fuck!" Andre exclaimed pushing Bruno to the ground harshly and running toward the window.

"We've got to tell our parents," Mirabel shouted and grabbed Camilo by the hand trying to pull him away. "We can't handle this on our own."

"I can!" Her cousin responded changing his form into Luisa.

"You can't copy her super strength," Dolores argued grabbing his other hand trying to pull him with Mirabel.

"She still has muscle," He reasoned, "That should be enough. You two should go get help. I can hold him off." Both girls had their doubts and did not want to leave him alone.

Andre slipped his shoes on quickly and climbed through the window. He then ran full speed at Camilo and rammed is fist in to the boy's stomach. Camilo folded like a cheap chair and changed back in to his true form. He coughed and gagged at the pain laying on the ground. The carpenter then advanced on the girls grabbing an arm from each before they could make a break for it.

"Let us go," Mirabel screamed trying to twist her arm away. Suddenly Bruno jumped on Andre's back wrapping his arms around the beefy man's neck trying to choke him. The girls were released for a moment as Andre grabbed Bruno's right arm and flipped him over his shoulder with vicious force slamming him into the ground harshly. The older man screamed in pain as his arm was dislocated from its socket and his body was battered to the ground.

Mirabel grabbed Dolores' hand knowing they have no chance and they start to run. But the man can run faster. He grabbed them both before they could get far.
