Dolores was the first to hear anything. The loud clapping of Caista's tiles rang in her ears loudly and she covered them trying to muffle the sound. She got up and quickly left her room to see what all the fuss was about. She looked down from the railing to see Casita's doors wide open and heard the sound of he tio begging someone to not burn the house.

Her other family members started to emerge from their rooms. Antonio ran to Mirabel in fear from all of Casita's noise. The house finally stopped now that the occupants were awake. "Something is happening outside," Dolores warned everyone before running toward the door. Suddenly Casita made waves with its tiles pushing her away and causing her to fall as a blaze erupted out of nowhere blocking the entrance and scorching her feet. Camilo ran up behind her pulling her further from the fire as she screamed in pain.

"Pepa!" Felix cried out running down the stairs to his children. His wife quickly created clouds, and rain began to fall dampening the flames. Felix scooped up his daughter and ran to the kitchen with several others following. Luisa and Isabela looked out through the slowly receding fire for what could have caused it, but it was dark and they could only see people from the town coming to help.

The concerned father placed his injured daughter down in a chair as Pepa came up from behind handing her some bread Julieta had made. The burns were horribly painful, she had never felt anything like it. She quickly bit into the bread shaking from the pain and was healed. "Bruno was out there," she finally informed them taking a deep breath. "I heard him telling someone not to burn the house. Is he okay?"

Agustin and Julieta ran to the entrance but they didn't see anything. Luisa and Isabela ran outside as soon as the fire was gone and searched for any trace of where Bruno had went but it was too late. It was dark and they couldn't see much; there was no telling which direction to go in.

.=.

Bruno was tired of waking up not knowing what to expect, but this time it didn't matter, he woke up angry. The sun was rising and he was leaning against his captor's chest as they trotted down a dirt road. Andre had a loose grip on him and he took advantage of that by quickly twisting around to punch the horrid man in the face. Stunned, Andre didn't react in time to stop Bruno from pushing himself away and falling off the horse.

The older man got off the ground quickly and ran for dear life off the road and into a wooded area with the horse following close behind. Andre maneuvered enough to be able to kick Bruno's back making him fall nearly landing on his face.

Dismounting, the taller man grabbed the other by the back of his ruana and pulled him to the horse. "Stop!" Bruno resisted. Andre pulled himself onto the horse and draped the other man across his lap. And he was promptly bitten on the leg for it and then elbowed in the genitals.

"Son of a bitch!" Andre cried out as they both fell from the horse, with him clutching at the pinnacle of his manhood. He grabbed Bruno's ankle as he tried to make a break for it and was kicked in the face. Now Andre was angry. He forced himself up ignoring the pain, and grabbed the shorter man by the throat lifting him off the ground and slamming him onto his back knocking the wind out of him.

Bruno laid there for a moment in an incredible amount of pain. He was too old for this. "Are you done?" Andre asked adjusting his dangling unmentionables. "If this is about the poorly timed joke I made earlier, I just thought I would lighten the mood."

"Fuck you!" Bruno snarled, his sweet innocent face pinched in rage. Andre did not like that at all and proceeded to slam his foot into the smaller man's stomach.

"There's no need for that," he admonished. Bruno groaned in pain rolling onto his side grasping his stomach trying not to vomit.

"What is wrong with you?!" Bruno beseeched. "I was right there! I was going to go with you!" Bruno's eyes started to water. "You didn't have to do that. I don't even know if they're okay," he sobbed.

"Oh," Andre sighed. He sauntered over to his crying lover and pulled him up to his feet coaxing him back on to the horse. Bruno reluctantly let him, aching from the beating he just endured. "Stop worrying about them." Andre straddled the horse behind the smaller man. "I'm the only person you will ever need." Bruno could only cry.

Eventually they arrived to a small fishing town set up on the edge of a lake. Bruno had never been outside of the encanto, so despite his situation, it was fascinating to see. They passed through town, and the people didn't seem much different than the people from the encanto.

Andre notice Bruno's intrigue and spurred the horse to go faster. He was a little frustrated to witness his lover show more curiosity over strangers than himself. They eventually made it to the edge of town where a small house set among the trees out of view from the neighbors. "What do you think?" Andre asked proud of the house he had built for them.

Andre had settled in this town three years ago. He had bought the land and built the house to the same specifications as the one in the encanto. He had even made many friends here and got along well with their closest neighbors, who lived about a half mile away.

This was meant to be where they would make their life together. The original plan had been to work on their relationship in the encanto, and once it was solid enough they would move here. Bruno was unimpressed and didn't respond to the question.

Andre jumped down from the horse pulling Bruno off after. He put the horse in a large pen next to the house making sure his captive followed. His hand gripped the older man's upper arm tight as if he would bolt at any minute. The smaller man made sure to drag his feet and be as difficult as possible. The carpenter pulled a key from under a rock near the door and unlocked it.

Bruno tried to resist going into the house, Andre practically dragged him in. The door was locked and the key was placed in the captor's pocket. It sunk in that Bruno was now stuck. He didn't know if his family was okay, he hoped no one was hurt in the fire. But hope was not reality, he simple did not know. For all he knew someone could had died.

Andre went to the kitchen to get some water while the smaller man just stood there overcome with fear and anger. "I hate you." Bruno stated. His actions were not enough for the younger man to understand that the older man did not want this. And saying 'No' was not enough either. So he was going to be as harsh as possible, maybe then Andre would understand.

"What?" Andre laughed as if it was a silly thing to say, like it was a joke.

"I hate you," Bruno repeated. "Don't you get it. I do not love you. I do not even like you." It wasn't in his nature to be so blunt and rude. He only wished the best for everyone. But he was scared, he missed his family and worried about them so much. It was suffocating in this prison and he wanted out. "I will never love you, you're just a child."

"Are you worried about the age gap?" Andre questioned confused on what his beloved was trying to tell him. "Don't worry, we have plenty of years ahead of us. I'm make sure you eat right and exercise and we'll be together for a long time." Satisfied that he solved the problem, he pulled out the ring. "By the way, I never got to put this on you."

Andre lifted Bruno's left hand and slipped it on to his ring finger. The prophet was left stunned by how any of that could have flown over the man's head. Andre looked at the ring on his hand happily. Bruno pulled it off in front of him dropping it to the floor.

A long minute passed between them before the larger man picked it up, grabbed the dead weight of his now fiance's hand and place it back on his finger. Bruno proceeded to pull the ring off and drop it on the floor. Andre huffed a little at this and picked it up again. He repeated putting it back on Bruno's hand but didn't let go this time.

He admired the ring, holding that particular finger in his hand. Then looked into his lovers eyes with a smile and snapped it, breaking Bruno's finger. Bruno screamed pulling his hand away cradling it to his chest. "There," Andre said dangerously, "Now it won't fall off."
