The scene begins on a luxury cruise starship where many high-class folks roamed about, enjoying their night of partying. A perfect night of dancing, eating, drinking, mingling. Everything some could only dream of. But what they didn't expect tonight was a visit from Captain Palpatine, the most ruthless, cold-blooded, twisted scalawag to sail the seven seas.
"Captain Palpatine had his richest booty yet that voyage." said Jango Fett as he read a holo-book to his four-year-old son. "He knew an island. That is where he buried the treasure. Gold and blood, they were Palpatine's trademarks. He'd leave both behind him that day."
On this day, Captain Palpatine and his crew went to that very island to bury their richest booty yet. On a place known as Treasure Planet.
Pirates:
Shiver my timbers, shiver my soul
Yo ho, heave ho
There are men whose hearts are as black as coal
Yo ho, heave ho
Griffins:
And they sailed their ship 'cross the ocean blue
A bloodthirsty captain and a cutthroat crew
Alligator:
It was dark a tale as was ever was told
Of the lust for treasure
And the love of gold!
The pirates struggled as they pushed and pulled the heavy chests across the dirt and land. They were sweating and struggling as they continued to move at their Captain's command.
Pirates:
Shiver my timbers, shiver my sides
Yo ho, heave ho
There are hungers as strong as the wind and tides
Yo ho, heave ho
Possums:
And those buccaneers drowned their sins in rum
Pegasus hiding in a tree:
The devil himself would have to call them scum
Crabs:
Every man aboard would have killed his mate
For a bag of guineas or a piece of eight
Alligator:
A piece of eight
Sea Pony:
A piece of eight
Butterflies:
A-five, six, seven, eight!
Apparently, the pirates also didn't know there were potentially inhabitants on this island, judging by the totems and stone faces in the area.
Stone Faces:
Woona wacka woona wacka, something not right
Many wicked icky things gonna happen tonight
Woona wacka woona wacka, sailor man beware!
Crabs:
When de money in the ground, dere's murder in de air
Totems:
Murder in the air
Stone Face:
One more time now!
Pirates:
Shiver my timbers, shiver my bones
Yo ho, heave ho
There are secrets that sleep with old Davy Jones
Yo ho heave ho
Snakes:
When the main sail's set and the anchor's weighed
There's no turning back from any course that's laid
Ghosts:
And when greed and villainy sail the sea
You can bet your boots, there'll be treachery!
The pirates soon came to bury the treasure deep in the grounds of a dark cave. And while the other pirates got to work, Captain Palpatine brought out two powerful guns and aimed carefully.
Pirates:
Shiver my timbers, shiver my sails
Dead men tell no tales!
BOOM!
Present Day...
"Fifteen men went ashore that day, and only Palpatine himself returned." Jango narrated. "Captain Palpatine swore to one day return for his treasure. Only to have been killed in a terrible storm before he ever could. To this day, no one knows who holds the map to this lost treasure of Captain Palpatine."
"I can find the map!" Little Boba said, grabbing a toy sword and swinging it around. "I'll fight the pirates and bring that treasure back for us!"
Jango laughed as he watched his son being cute as he pretended to be a pirate. Jango Fett was a great sailor know across the galaxy. He traveled to many planets across the galaxy, discovering many islands, and taking many daring journeys along the way. But then, here on Kamino, a planet mostly made of water with some islands, Jango found his greatest treasure and adventure yet.
Here on Kamino was where he met his wife Zam, and eventually they had a beautiful baby boy named Boba.
Boba was a very excitable young boy. And someday, he wanted to be a great adventurer like his father.
"You're a brave boy, Boba." Jango chuckled. "Adventure awaits at every turn. But sometimes, you may already be on a great journey without realizing it."
Boba was confused.
"When would that happen?" The child asked.
"Well, it occurred when I met a very special woman." Jango said, and that was when Zam entered the room. "Your mother."
Boba looked up as he saw his mother, who looked sternly at him, and he walked to his bed.
"The day I met your mother led me on a great journey to proving my love for her and winning her heart."
Jango and Zam kissed each other, amid their son's gagging in disgust.
"After we got married," said Zam, placing Boba into bed. "We were blessed with our greatest treasure."
"The value of a treasure isn't by how shiny, golden, or how many diamonds are encrusted into it." said Jango, tucking his son into bed. "It is measured by the meaning it holds in your heart."
Jango and Zam kissed their son goodnight.
"For now, Sweetie. Our adventure is our family here at the Dolph-Inn." Zam said. "And it's time for you to get some rest."
Three years later...
It was another day in the life of now seven-year-old Boba Fett. A terrible day. Today had been the day of a funeral. Poor Boba was devastated after learning his father had been lost at sea while on a voyage on the seas of Kamino. All he had left of him that was found among the wreckage was Jango Fett's old compass.
Boba wore that compass and kept it close to his heart.
The night his father left, a terrible storm broke out, and many sailors on many ships lost their lives, according to the few survivors. After the funeral, Boba decided to be alone.
Jango and Boba used to have this special place they would go whenever Boba was feeling down. A place called Treasure Shore.
Growing up, Boba would go there with his parents and they would always have so much fun together. Boba learned how to swim there, and to sail his toy boat. And they would often collect little seashells they found along the shore too.
Boba was just walking along the shore, picking up some shells he spotted when he heard a sound. A sound of a baby crying.
He looked around, and spotted, out by the shore, a young purple alicorn not much more than a filly struggling to pick herself up after she'd exited the water, and she was pushing a little basket.
Boba dropped his shells, then quickly approached the horse and asked her if she was alright. Then, he looked into the basket and found... a baby girl.
When the baby's bright green eyes caught sight of Boba, the baby stopped crying and started cooing and reaching out to him.
"Come here, little one." Boba said, picking up the basket gently.
He looked the baby over, and he saw that she had a heart shaped locket around her neck. And it had the name Gabriella engraved onto it.
Judging by the fact that there was no one else, not even a ship, in sight, and that pony had come from the water with the baby, Boba realized this baby and her pony must have been survivors from a sinking ship that got caught in the same storm that took his father.
"Don't worry, Gabriella." Boba said, hugging the baby. "I'll take care of you."
However, Boba didn't know much about babies. So, he brought the baby to his mother.
Luckily, lots of Boba's old baby stuff was still in storage. Zam got the baby some milk and helped Boba dry her and the pony off. She gave the baby a bath and put the baby into a pink onesie she'd kept from when she was expecting Boba; since she and Jango didn't know if they were having a boy or a girl when she was pregnant, they got clothes for both genders.
"There we are." Zam cooed at the baby. "All better now."
The baby however, started crying again.
"Oh, no, no, no." Zam cooed. "Shh. It's okay. Your new mommy's here."
Zam rocked the baby and had Boba sit beside her as she sang a lullaby, she'd sung to Boba ever since he was a baby.
Oh, the waves roll low
And the waves roll high
And so it goes
Under a bright blue endless sky
Waves try to measure
Days that we treasure
Wave hello
And wave goodbye
The baby calmed down a little, but Carousella came up with another idea.
"I know this song that'll help her sleep." Carousella
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
"Where'd you learn that song?" Boba asked.
"I don't know." Carousella said. "I can't remember very well from before we were at the shore."
And Carousella kept singing.
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfilment of their secret longing
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true
And just like that, Baby Gabriella was sound asleep.
"Boba, would you hold the baby so I can set up her bed?" Zam said.
"Me? Hold a baby?" Boba said.
Zam showed Boba how to properly hold the baby and carefully passed the little one into his arms.
Boba looked at the baby in his arms and couldn't help feeling sorry for her. This baby had no doubt lost her family in the storm last night, and it was only by some miracle that she survived. But she was also too young to understand why her birth family wasn't around anymore and why she was with strangers now.
Boba understood better than anyone now how awful it was to lose just one family member, but who knows how big this baby's family had been? Did she have only one parent? Two parents? Did she have siblings? Grandparents or any other relative with her when she got into the storm? Would anyone come looking for her?
Gabriella opened her eyes and looked up at Boba once again, cooing curiously. She looked at the shiny compass around Boba's neck.
"Oh, you like this?" Boba cooed. "That's a compass. It shows you which way to go so you don't get lost. Maybe someday we'll go on a sailing adventure across the galaxy like my father used to. And judging by you coming from the water, your family were probably sailors too."
Boba knew only one thing now. This baby, his new baby sister, was his treasure. And he had to protect her at any cost. He was still determined to go on great adventures like his father. But for now, he had a more important adventure to follow: being a big brother and taking care of his family.
