*Recap*

I must have fallen asleep at some point. It had become dark outside, and everything seemed a little quieter around than when I first arrived. I stretched a little as I had fallen asleep in a weird position. I picked up my planner off the floor and as I looked up, I saw Flack, Messer Detective Taylor and a couple other people coming towards me. I straightened out my hair as they all entered the office.

"Hello," I say a little tentatively. "Did you get your guy?"

"Yes, we did," one of the new ladies said. "A few hours ago, actually."

"Congrats," I say with a small smile.

"Thank you, but that isn't why we are here," Detective Taylor says. "Let me introduce everyone. This is Stella Bonasera, Lindsey Monroe and Dr. Sheldon Hawkes." I nod to each one as they are introduced.

"We have updated everyone on what has been going on," Messer says.

"We thought the more heads that are on this case, the sooner we can get it all sorted," Flack said.

"Makes sense," I say.

"We agree with Flack and Danny," Stella says. "The hotel is not safe anymore and we think you should go somewhere that only us in this room know about."

"Okay," I say a little nervous about what is going on.

"We have decided that you will stay with Flack until the guy is caught," Detective Taylor says matter-of-factly. "We want to keep you safe, but the hotel is expensive, and the chief is riding our backs about it. We need to figure out a better way."

"Mac," Stella admonishes. "No need to scare her. I am sure this is already overwhelming." She turns to me. "We think the less people who know the safer it is, and we can find the leak easier."

"I wasn't trying to be too harsh," Mac said. "I just wanted to lay out the facts." He looks at me. "Sorry about being so harsh now and earlier."

"It is ok," I say with a little nod. "Things have been tense everywhere it would seem."

"Does the plan sound okay to you?" Lindsey asks.

"I feel bad about taking over someone's couch for an undetermined amount of time," I say looking down. "I just wish there was a way to finish this all."

"We think that he will come out once you start working again at the coffee shop," Hawkes says.

"He knows Flack and I go there," Messer says, "but we are sure he has not seen the others. So, they can come in at random times and keep an eye out."

"I understand that" I start to say.

"Don't say you don't want to be a bother," Flack says stopping what I was going to say. "We can't very well just leave you alone when we know someone is out to kill you."

"I could go into Witness Protection," I say. "That way no one but me will have to change their lifestyles."

"Nonsense," Stella says shaking her head. "We understand that it is a lot to take in, but we have been discussing it for a couple of hours while you got some sleep."

I laugh a little, "So I did fall asleep for a longer time than I thought."

"It's okay," Lindsey says. "It will be good to get out every so often and relax with a good cup of coffee."

"We just want to do what we can to keep you safe," Mac says. "If you need anything please feel free to call anyone of us."

Messer hold out his hand and takes my phone. He puts his number and then my phone is passed to everyone. Once it gets to Flack, he hands me back my phone. We talk for a little bit more and decide that Danny and Stella will go grab my bag from the hotel and then bring it to the lab, while I wait with Flack in the lab.

Mac heads out to his office it seems when Messer and Stella leave to go get my bag. Hawkes heads out to finish up some work he had to do, and Lindsey also headed out to finish up her work. Flack and I stayed in the office. We talked about things for awhile until Messer and Stella came back. After getting my bag, we headed to the underground parking to get in his car. We headed out to his apartment. Once we arrived, we walked up to his apartment. As we entered Flack showed me to a room and I knew it was his room instantly.

"I won't stay in your room," I say as I turn around to him.

"Yes, you will," he says. "This way I can be between you and the door incase someone dares to try and come in here."

"Fine." I say dropping my bag. "I won't argue with you on that."
