Hello, I hope you enjoy the story. This is my first time writing a fanfic and I went back and rewatched Danmachi, (Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon) and it captivated me, so I wanted to try a crossover especially since I'm a budding writer.

This will be a crossover with Naruto & Danmachi

Elements From Dark Souls, The Rising Shield Hero and Monster hunter will be taken. I will update that list as I go but I in no way shape or form own anything referenced in these series.

Chapter I

Prologue

Throughout it all he had stood strong. Naruto Uzumaki, a warrior, a last vestige of a clan too stubborn to be forgotten. A symbol of standing tall even when all were against you. A man that stayed true to himself even when infuriating others. A hero to all, especially those like him, those who were betrayed. Those who were looked down upon. Those who were forced to live on despite everything being lost. The man whose greatness knew no bounds. The man loved by Chakra. Naruto Uzumaki, The Great Sage, The Kingdom less King, The God Butcherer and The Puppet of Carnage. The man who would become known as "The Hero" of that era. The man who stared down the Primordial goddess, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, the "Rabbit Goddess", After ending the Fourth Shinobi War by his lonesome. Right after ending the Last Uchiha and prematurely ending his dreams of taking over the world.

The fight between the Rabbit Goddess and Puppet of Carnage only took but a day. They had reshaped Not only multiple countries in the Elemental Nations* but actively changed the world. Neither fighter realized the death and destruction they were inadvertently causing both focusing fully on the other and doing their best to fell their opponent. Certain events that would forever change the future would happen during this fight, things that not even the gods watching this from the safety of their upper realm would come to realize until it's too late.

Naruto Focused Pov.

After whittling away at each other with mostly useless attacks that damage healed instantly or attacks that were supposed to tire each other Naruto came to a stark realization. He was getting tired. Kaguya had started frantically attacking him after the sun finally rose on the second day of combat and from what he could sense? She was almost still on a full tank of chakra. Realizing if he became tired all would be for naught, and he called out for help. Not to those betrayers of his, not to any friends he still had left, and most certainly not to some god. Not to a single person, but instead to chakra itself. The thing that had loved him in place for his parents. The same energy his best friend and new friends were made from.

The world suddenly Throbbed and he realized chakra had responded. Leaving everyone who it wasn't being forced to stick to and flowing into him. All types of chakra entered him, from the basic elements to nature chakra. Even advanced kekkai genkai chakra, hell Kekkai Tota chakra was entering him, and it felt… right, no it felt natural, like a partner he'd been waiting on his entire life. While chakra was gently caressing him memories of his life started to flow, from when he was five and got attacked by some drunken villagers in Konoha giving him the scar across his temple and eye, to him killing them shrouded in red chakra that was healing and protecting him. Then to him at 15, graduating with the rest of his class and being put under the command of the legendary ninja Kakashi Hatake. Jumping to him in wave holding Haku's dying body and her pressing a kiss onto his lips and asking to never be forgotten. Later to him facing down Orochimaru and his teammates abandoning him as he is fighting him off to protect them. Then to staring down the Ichibi, Shukaku during the invasion of the Chunin Exams. To him staring at Sakura's back as she walked off after hearing what happened to Sasuke. To him leaning to a wall listening to the Jonin Senseis talking about him-people he trusted. More and more memories flowed until the last one, like he saved it for last was his last conversation with Jiraiya.

Flashback

"We'll set up camp up ahead brat, sound good?" Jiraiya called out to the reddish head blond behind him. Not missing a beat and simply answering with some acknowledgement Naruto comes to a soft stop and gently taps his foot to the earth, channeling earth natured chakra to it to make a pit to put the campfire in for an easy clean up. As this is happening Jiraiya unseals some foodstuffs and starts preparing to cook them. A silence settles between them, but in no way was it uncomfortable.

After about 5 minutes pass and everything is cooking Jiraiya suddenly but gently starts "You ever think about it Naruto?"

"About what Shujin?"

"The startling amount of hate in this world", Jiraiya continues "Its disgusting but I've seen great men try to solve it but all they do is add more hate into this world. I've been trying to sow the seed of peace for so long now I've forgotten how many years I've spent trying. At first, I thought it was going to be your father but then, well you know what happened and I think that peace is impossible."

Naruto takes a deep breath and mulls over this silently for about two minutes. Right as Jiraiya opens his mouth he gets cut off, "I don't believe that it's impossible you must look objectively. The thing that's been breaking the peace is chakra and the hate that was spread from using it selfishly. Look at Iwa hating me because of my parents who I've never even met. I personally believe that until there's an enemy that bands us all together or chakra is lost, we will be here at this fork in the road deciding how it will all go."

Jiraiya gazes at Naruto across the fire, noting the similarities between himself and his parents but also sees how different they are from each other. After a while a huge grin breaks over Jiraiya's face and he bellows "Naruto, no matter what anyone says you are by far my favorite apprentice, and It's truly been an honor teaching you. I won't forget these evening talks ever."

Flashback end

Regular Pov.

Staring at the figures in the sky everyone felt a throb, and simply turned their eyes to the two in the sky breaking off after Naruto hit a viscous right on Kaguya. Sliding away from each other we get our first glimpse of the hero. Standing at an impressive 5'9 staring unflinchingly at the goddess in front of him with his mismatched eyes Naruto Uzumaki stood. He has a lean build with no extra fat or muscle but has enough power to fight evenly with the Raikage without chakra enhancements. He has neck length spiky hair that is crimson like his proud Uzumaki clan, but the ends turn blond* showing his fathers heritage. His face having a Kakashi style covering his nose and cheeks people often say is hiding his ugliness, but others* know otherwise. His eyes-if they could be called that are two different colors. One is blood crimson, and the other is ocean blue. He's wearing simple Anbu style pants taped at the bottom with combat boots and a simple Uzumaki shirt. The thing that sets him apart and he's known by is that Black blazer jacket with a burnt orange inside with a red Uzumaki spiral on the back.

Kaguya was a pale-skinned woman with delicate facial features. She had extremely long, sweeping white hair. Kaguya possessed white clear eyes and her eyebrows were cut very short and round, and she wore a red shade of lipstick on her lips. Most noticeably, she has two brown horns that stuck out from her head and a third eye formed in the center of her forehead. She's wearing a high-collared hime-kimono which has tomoe running down the center and edges of it.

After coming to a skidding stop everything watching has a startling realization that they feel pressure and their eyes trail to Naruto. He's floating in front of her with his eyes closed, the sun tattoo on his hand glowing and a second tattoo manifests on his other palm- a crescent moon and it glows in tandem with the sun tattoo as if they are resonating. After they both pulse twice more Naruto has a form or rainbow-colored chakra* form around him and shatter. Now he's giving off a faint glow and starts sorrowfully at Kaguya and speaks his baritone voice jolting all with the sprinkle of an emotion they couldn't put their finger on "Rabbit Goddess, Primordial God, Lets end this now. I no longer wish to drag this out seeing as now I have a time limit"

Kaguya hisses as she prepares herself for a final bout "You call me evil when I try to take my chakra back from those Apes but when you do it it's fine? You hypocrite"

"Call me what you wish, for I know they will. To some I am a hero, to others I am a villain. If I am called a pariah, then so be it. All I know and all they will know is that I bested you today. Right here in this minute, in this second, no in this moment, I will defeat you and I will put an end to this foolishness here and now" Roared Naruto as he sped towards Kaguya chakra blazing alive on his form as he rushed to end this with his seal glowing, his partners he gained over this war agreeing with him and putting their faith in him. The ones he was barely able to save from death marching to death with him, The Nibi named Matatabi, the Hachibi named Gyuki and finally, The Kyuubi named Kurama.

The two blazed across the sky trading blows enhanced by chakra but Kaguya couldn't keep up with Naruto anymore. Not only was he faster and stronger despite cracks starting to appear on his body he was still batting her around with 5 clones all using Frog kata and manipulating chakra to hit her even if she managed to dodge, or guard they'd just break her guard. Kicking off the air and finally kicking her into space Naruto had some startling realizations, at this point sealing her would simply delay her revenge on humanity for no seal could realistically hold her for forever. He would have to live up to one of the nicknames bestowed upon him, The God Butcherer. Another startling realization was that after his body would give* out from the chakra it would destroy everything. Kaguya realized this too if the smile on her face was anything to go by. Despite being brutally hit around and having one of her horns broken and her previously royal look destroyed she stayed strong. Even when she felt bones snap and even when she would bleed, she stayed strong for this moment when he would realize and break. A grin crossed her face till she realized he was too calm to not have a solution and as she opened her mouth to speak Naruto landed a viscous haymaker on her face. Following that up with a kick that cracked her ribs she was sent towards the moon. Naruto using his newfound speed appeared behind her and held her up by her throat and told her "Fine, I will accompany you to the pure world" and gathered his chakra in a final blow. She recognized how he was molding it, having experienced it once before but… differently.

Molding and weaving his power Naruto made a small Rasengan filled with destruction. He simply pushed it through her back and that was it. No big technique for her, no big bang to go out to just a small hole in her back. Naruto then went back to focusing on his power and weaving it into a crescent like that tattoo on his hand and made another moon sealing his power and Kaguya's body, which when exposed to the power turned to dust. With his job now being done and having only dredges of his chakra flowing throughout his system he entered his mindscape.

Mindscape

Before he went on his training trip with Jiraiya his mindscape was a sewer only getting worse with every subsequent betrayal, but now? It was a beautiful sprawling ecosystem and in the middle were cherry trees and a small pond. Sitting down under a tree a small adorable red fox walked up and plopped himself down next to him. Shortly after a small cat made of fire but not setting things on fire hopped into his lap and lastly an octopus with bull horns and a humanoid chest and arms plopped down using his legs as a pillow. After sitting comfortably Kurama spoke up. "Going out a hero, are we?"

Sighing Naruto simply says "There's nothing left to do. Sure, I could have tried to protect myself with chakra but with the taking all the chakra from the planet stunt I did I don't know if my body could handle it honestly. It's a real shame though, I finally get that strong and must go out." Naruto sighs and continues, "At least the clan will be remembered and even if the Uzumaki name is forgotten-If we are forgotten, the planet stands as proof and the second moon stands as proof too." Matatabi says "I have some dominion over death you know Naruto, and I can feel that this isn't where you're gonna stop. We realized this during the fight so were going to imprint some things to your soul. Firstly, Kurama's going to go with you and for me I'm gonna give you access to Hel-fire. Gyu's gonna give you mastery over ink seeing as you're so creative"

Startled, Naruto says "Just let us pass over with you. Rama's tired of this world and I just am… Tired."

"You know a hero's journey isn't over that quickly. We'll miss you Naru and remember you, and I wish we were with you from the start" Matatabi gets out before Gyuki jumps onto Naruto's legs and says, "They'll need you more and remember everyone going to root for you kid". With that Naruto and Kurama start to fade and before they disappear Naruto gently smiles at them and says, "I love you guys." and fully vanishes. The two bijuu's eyes water and simply smile as the mindscape becomes white with everything fading there's nothing left.

Reality

As the Uzumaki's body crumbled into dust making the final sacrifice to lead the lower world into peace a gentle smile covers his face and all his important people watching from the pure world smile back.

End

Author's Notes

Hope that was a good first chapter! I tried my hand at hinting that a story was going on had ended and a new one will rise from the ashes.

In this Naruto was betrayed a LOT whether it was because of the bijuu he held or not he was betrayed. He also isn't going to be a complete idiot, he'll have his moments but all in all I think that was a good summary type of lead up for the start, next chapter.

I don't have a proofreader yet but if you'd like to feel free to pm, this is mostly just for me to practice but hey hopefully it'll be enjoyable
