"Mami! Please let me help, i know a way to-"

The tentacle from her mami's curse had cut through Luz's cheek. She knew there was a way to heal her with wild magic but she wouldn't let her speak word of it.

It was only two nights ago when that happened.

Ever since she met Hunter, she didn't want to touch a palismen or even a glyph cause it represented wild magic. But now after she seen everything that a glyph could do. Luz looked into to it more.

She would spend hours and days at the library in bonesborough to catch up on some magic. Especially when she couldn't do any form of magic.

That would be helpful if her mamì allowed it in the castle. she saw a light glyph was made by a simple circle and a triangle with three lines going through it.

Luz grabbed her notebook and tore out a piece if paper, drawing what the instructions told her. she did it correctly. One try.

"Ha! Nice!" She laughed. She held the light orb in his hand, it was certainly beautiful. she knew what Hunter ment now.

"Light Glyphs are one of my favorite spells to do so since they are not hard to cast, One small thing can make a big difference."

Her mind echoed. Man, he looked amazingly handsome Titan! Where did that come from?!

"Chirp! Chrip!" Bluejay? What was she doing here?

she looked down and saw the blue jay smiling at her. "Uh, hey birdy? What are you doing in here?"

"Chirp! Chirp!"

"You...Want to study with me?" Happily, she chipped.

The Latina chuckled and nodded, her Mami would probably kill her because of this since she is associating with wild magic but she didn't mind.

"Get up here then!" She wispered as she let her "Palismen" layed down on her hair, it was really fluffy since her Mami didn't let her cut it.

It was about two hours after that, and she swore she passed out at some point and time. The only reason why she woke up was because someone came through the door.

"Luz? You alright?" The boy sounded like hunter. So, she took her chances. Luz looked at him. deciding her decision...She nodded.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just catching up on wild magic. This book is really interesting, it's called Bones To Earth. It talks about carving palismens, creating spell circles and even making glyph combos! I mean look!"

Hunter the human, laughed and sat Flapjack down on the table and sat himself down so he could talk to her easier.

"I told you! David Allen Blitzon, has a really good example on magic. He even explored the most sacred places of the isles. Of course there was some...Challenges."

Luz smiled brightly, and genuinely for the first time in years. Even her eyebags was bearly noticeable..

"You're correct, I even found a healing spell...But..." Even she wasn't sure if this worked.

Hunter sighed sadly. "Oh Luz...Your mom's curse...Is it getting.. Worse?"

"Mhm."

"I'm so so, so sorry Luz. Wait a minute, that scar wasn't there before..Did she...Did she hurt you?"

"Mhm." Luz never thought that this would happen. Now, she has to worry about lots of things...Like keeping Bluejay hidden and keeping safe out of her moms grasp.

"You could come to the owl house if you want lil-"

"But i can't JUST LEAVE EDA AND KING! What if they get hurt because I'm not there!" She started to sob...This Hurts alot and it hurt to see Hunters best friend suffering like this.

"Luz," He reached over and pulled her in a tight bear hug. Whispering comforting words. "I didn't mean leave them. I only ment to stay for a night, so you could get actual sleep."

Luz sighed and sat the book down. She didn't even glance at him. "Alright, I'll give it a shot. But I'll need to leave around five."

"Okay then! Lemme text Lilith and see if she's alright with you coming over since you're the Violet Guard and everything "

Smiling, she nodded. The Violet Guard smiled again. This is worth it to see.

Things would be okay. The two just had to trust each other.
