Adrien Agreste

Yes, I googled random French names to make Adrien really have five.

Adrien sat on a chair in front of a desk looking at the adult, that sat vice versa to the blonde with a small file, which contained a sheet with his biography. Besides the table were the woman's notebook with a pencil on it and a few phrases with large spaces between them, which were meant for her to fill in answers. The woman looked at the watch to see the time, then glimpsed up at Adrien, which grinned a little sheepishly at the woman.

"Are you nervous?" Questioned the woman making Adrien shake his head.

"No. I just have never been to the school psychologist. Have I done something wrong?" Questioned Adrien making the woman shake her head.

"No, my boy. Every student has to pass here at my office for a little small talk. As the new psychologist of the school, I am obligated to have had at least one appointment with the students. Just to get to know them,"

"Okay, I have never been before to a psychologist. Before I started school here I was homeschooled," Confessed the Frenchman making the woman nod and notice it down.

"So, okay to resume it short. My task as a school psychologist is to support students at the school when they have trouble in any sort of way. We work together with you and when necessary with your parents, legal guardian, teachers or principals. Any issue here can be discussed related to your life here at the school, whether you have trouble with any subject here, a teacher, the ways of learning, or the experience of bullying from class comrades," Said the woman making Adrien nod. "And as a psychologist, I have the obligation to keep our conversation we had in here a secret or better, what you don't want to be told to the teacher or your parents like I don't know…...you failed at math because you learned for the wrong exam, just an example, I'll keep it shut,"

"Cool like some sort of good friend?"

"Yes, whatever you want me to keep it secret, I'll take it with me to the grave,"

"Wow, that's harsh,"

"That's what's written in the law book, actually" Commented the psychologist making Adrien nod. "By the way, I haven't introduced myself to you, I'm Alfida Ecofinisher, the school's psychologist,"

"I'm Adrien Agreste or well, if I have to tell my fullname it's Adrien Antoine Alain Archenaud Athanase Agreste," Adrien presented himself making Alfida nod as she had seen the exact same name on Adrien's file. "I've got a lot of names, right?" Asked Adrien watching the woman shrug her shoulders.

"Well, there was this one Portuguese student, which had three double-names as the first names and five family names. But so far I know, they're not used on his file, only his identification card," Spoke Alfida making Adrien nod. "So Adrien, if it's okay for me to call you like that,"

"Sure go on," Adrien responded watching the woman move the block closer to her to get ready to ask him the questions she needed for the job.

"Tell me a little bit about you. I already know your name, but I don't know anything about you like your origins,"

"Well, I'm French actually. To be right, my mother's British and French. My father is full french. I'm currently 15 years old. I've been living in Paris since I can remember. We have never moved around anywhere,"

"Alright, good and as you said before, you were homeschooled. Was there a specific reason for it? Why did you come here to us? Did your parents think it was better for you?"

"My mother had promised me before her disappearance, that I would be able to come here to school. After she disappeared, my father had thought about taking me off from school, but I refused to listen to him and insisted to come along. Somehow my father's assistant Nathalie convinced him to let me go to school and offered him to arrange my schedule with the modeling and the other things I used to do in my free time, so it would work out well with the rest,"

"I see. Those other things are these sort of afterschool activities? The Mandarin lessons, the fencing class, and the piano lessons, right?"

"Yes,"

"In my opinion, this is a lot to do for someone who's just 15. When did you start with this?" Questioned Alfida making Adrien shrug his shoulders.

"I know I started with piano, then mandarin came later on. Fencing I had gotten the inspiration from a Spanish outlaw movie and my mother suggested me to try out fencing. About the age of 11 or 12 I began to take fencing classes," Explained the blonde watching the woman notice down short tags related to Adrien's answer.

"Alright, you've been for around a year here at the school. How is it going so far?" Questioned the brunette waiting for the boy to answer.

"It's going well. I've been enjoying it being here surrounded by people my age. I have made new friends here too and I have been accepted by everyone here so far,"

"Very well and about the friends you made here. Who are those friends of yours? Are they from the same class?"

"Well before I got to school here I was already befriended with Chloé Bourgeois and Sabrina Raincomprix," Adrien responded. "The first friend I made here was Nino Lahiffe. He's my deskmate during class. He offered me his friendship because he knew my best friend Chloé was…...quite different from the others,"

"Yes, I understand. Are there many friends on your list?"

"Yes, there's Marinette from my class and her friend Alya Césaire. I get along pretty well with the older brother of Juleka, Luka Couffaine. Wayhem from Mrs. Lefevre's class is the most recent one from what I remember and I think…..there's Kagami as well. She's been here for a few months in Paris and is one of the most talented students in fencing class,"

"Good, good. Do you have anything special, that you admire in these friends of yours?"

"Well, Nino's always around for me, when I need comfort and was able to stand up against my father, because he didn't allow me to have friends for my own birthday party. Alya's the girlfriend of Nino and she's a pretty cool person. Marinette's a good friend to me. Funnily the first day I met her, she disliked me, because she mistook me for doing something bad to her, but in reality, I just wanted to remove a chewing gum Chloé had stuck on her bench. She only had seen me trying to take it off and assumed, it was done by me. Just like Nino she had tried to help me with my father's overly strict parenting, despite her issues around me, where she gets all nervous I think. Well, she's not quite nervous, more she stutters a lot when she's around me, but with anyone else, she barely does that. I got used to that. I believe it's because she's a fangirl of me and she's like troubling in talking normally to me. I've encountered many fangirls, that had similar issues,"

"Anything special about Kagami, Chloé, or Sabrina?"

"Chloé was my very first friend, a friend with who I could talk about everything. Since the diapers time. Sabrina's like our co-pilot, well hers mostly, but we got along pretty good. Kagami is a very supportive friend, she basically knows what's going on in my mind and relates very well to the fact of being in custody of an overprotective parent. Sometimes she says things to me in a very harsh way, but it's her way of talking, so it sounds sometimes rude at first. But as I got to know her, I saw, that she had a soft spot and could be as jokeful as you,"

"I think that's a healthy thing for both of you if you believe your parents take your education very seriously," The psychologist stated making Adrien nod. "So have you got any hobbies or were the ones you mentioned to be your afterschool lessons the ones you see as it?"

"Well, I sometimes play piano for fun too. Do video games count as a hobby?" Questioned Adrien making the woman nod. "Good, well I play basketball sometimes. That's all I can think of now,"

"Okay, and you're doing well at school you said?" Asked Alfida making the boy nod. "Can you tell more or less, which are the subjects you're good at and which ones you're not that good at?"

"Well….." Began Adrien while scratching the back of his head. "To be serious I'm almost good at all ones. I've got almost everywhere a 5-6. Only Chemistry I've got a 5. Unless if you want to know my lowest grade, it was that one,"

"Okay, well there's always a student or two, who can have very high grades. That's nothing to be ashamed of. Now about your future, have you already in mind, what you want to be in the future?"

"I want to be successful. I want to be anything that will make my parents proud,"

"Do you want only that? What about your interest or happiness in your dream job?" Questioned Alfida, then Adrien pondered about it and shrugged his shoulders.

"Well, actually I want that too if it is possible. It's just hard to know, what to wish for when there are a lot of things I could go with,"

"Indeed. Even if you had a wish, it would be a good start. With the years passing by it might chance. Maybe you figure out there's something better out there for you or that wish turns out to not be how you imagined it would be,"

"Yes,"

"Good, according to your file, you look healthy besides you have a feather allergy. Can you confirm this?" Questioned the woman making Adrien nod. "Good and that your current deskmate is your best friend Nino I won't need to ask again, but who's your person, where you would go when you had something to discuss with. A trustful person, for any occasion. You may get one for school, one for home or for all the same things. If you had an issue, with who would you talk to?"

"Nino and my father's assistant Nathalie. Things Nino can't help me out with, I ask Nathalie, otherwise, I will look for another solution or see if any of the other friends could help me,"

"Okay," Responded Ms. Ecofinisher writing down several notes related to the interview with the boy. "Hmm have you ever been on a vacation before?" Questioned Alfida making Adrien nod. "Where have you been so far?"

"Well I was in London, New York, Shanghai and Cape Town," Responded Adrien.

"Have you got other places in mind you would love to visit?" Questioned the brunette making Adrien nod.

"I would love to go to many places around the world, I had made a list once, but I don't have it here with me, but I can recall a few places. Copenhagen, Athens, Istanbul, Barcelona, Funchal, Venice, Amsterdam, Saint Petersburg, Zurich, Rio de Janeiro, Nairobi, Cairo, Marrakesh…..,"

"Wow, you practically would love to do a world tour, right?" Questioned Alfida making Adrien nod.

"Sure, hopefully with some good friends,"

"Yes, several school leavers went on a world tour together with a few friends and are gone for around a year. I'm pretty sure most of you got the money for it,"

"Yes," Responded Adrien.

"Have you got any special talents or to phrase it better, what are your skills? The piano?"

"I'm good at modeling, as you said piano, I was the best at fencing, until Kagami joined the class and enthroned me," Commented Adrien with a chuckle. "I'm also a fast learner. I can easily save up in my head many important things for upcoming essays and exams,"

"That explains your good grades," Complimented the brunette. "Now the last question is rather an odd one to most of you. If you were on a lonely island, which three things would you take there with you?"

"Uh? Do persons count?" Questioned Adrien curious making Alfida shake her head. "Oh….well…..why again is this a question?"

"It helps me see, what type of material is important to you at the moment. What exactly makes sense for you to take there, when you're not aware for how long you're going to stay there all alone," The woman explained making Adrien nod.

"Ok, and how are my answers going to help you? To be honest, I don't even know, what exactly I am supposed to answer," Confessed Adrien making the woman nod.

"Yes, this question is quite hard for all of us, but if it comforts you, any answer is right or wrong. You just need to say three things you believe you would need there to make it through,"

"Ok, well…..islands usually have trees and they grow fruits. So I won't need to bring anything to help me eat. I could take my smartphone to be able to talk to my friends from here since I'm all alone. What else I think I could do…." Questioned Adrien himself as the school psychologist wrote down Adrien's first option. "A lighter to make fire at night or no matches….no, I think a lighter is better. It lasts longer," Corrected Adrien watching Alfida notice down the second option and glimpsed at the blonde. "Okay, the last option…...well…..what could I do? I thought about a tent or a sleeping bag, but I'm already sleeping on sand and beside the campfire, it must be warm enough, I actually…..it's pretty complicated," Commented Adrien watching Alfida tap quietly with the pen on the block waiting for Adrien to give the third option out. Adrien smiled glad, then pondered about if it would make any sense and nodded. "A writing block with a pen attached to it," Answered Adrien crossing his arms proud.

"Good now we've got three options here. You're happy with it?"

"Yep,"

"You think this would last for at least a month?" Questioned Alfida watching Adrien ponder about his options, then Alfida showed him his three mentioned objects and thought about them. After looking at the smartphone for a while, he realized that one wouldn't last for so long and sighed.

"Bummer, the smartphone one wouldn't really last long," Stated Adrien making Alfida nod.

"Don't worry, this doesn't need to be that accurate. But you see, this is quite hard for boys and girls at your age. The longer you would ponder about the questions, the sooner you realize what things are the most important to help you survive for a long period of time," The psychologist said. "I was really glad to meet you and hope, that you continue to enjoy the rest of the school time here at the Françoise Dupont,"

"Yes. I really want to stay here until the end of my education," Adrien confessed happy about getting to know the presence of the school psychologist.
