Alya Césaire
Alya knocked on the door of the office, then heard a voice inviting her in and she walked into the room.
"You're Miss Ecofinisher, the new psychologist, right?" Questioned Alya making the woman nod, which was setting on her table the file and block she needed for the questioning. "I'm Alya Césaire. Perhaps you have seen me on the internet talking about Ladybug, right?" Questioned Alya approaching the chair, then watched the woman offer the girl to sit down.
"I saw you on the image here on the file and I have been pondering about, where I had seen you before and now that you say that. You are that girl from the blog," Commented Alfida making Alya nod gladly about being recognized. "You're quite talented in talking to the camera. Is that a sort of hobby?" Questioned Alfida making Alya nod.
"Yes, I have created the blog by myself and as I am interested in becoming a journalist one day, I thought this would be a good way to practice for myself. The first weeks upon Ladybug's appearance I was more of an investigator for discovering her secret identity. It's a lot of work, but it's enjoyable for me to be doing those things to be able to bring facts out to others. According to my friends, I'm pretty good at it. I still do make some mistakes and hope to avoid doing them again in the future. This hobby also made me be the school's third best touch typers. Max Kanté from my class was second and some 11th grader named River I think was first,"
"I think I haven't been able to interview her class yet. Perhaps I'll get the chance to it," Noticed Alfida writing down the first facts, she just said before the introduction. "So, Alya. I'd like to get to know you a little bit and will ask you questions. First I would like to know how old you are and where you are from. From what I heard now you seemed to be interested in becoming a journalist someday, is that right?"
"Yes, correct. In case I can't get there at first I'll do a course first as a merchandiser and later on I try to work myself up to be able to get there," Alya stated making the woman nod. "I'm Alya Césaire as you know already. I'm 15 years old at this moment, I'm the second oldest in my household and have three sisters. We're originally from Martinique,"
"Oh Martinique?" Asked the psychologist curious. "Quite far away from here, isn't it?"
"Yeah, we have to have a connection flight or two. If we have the possibility we fly straight to the Dominican Republic, then we travel on a smaller plane to Martinique. When we're unlucky to get this course, we have to switch to either Spain or Portugal and move on to the Dominican Republic, afterward move to another plane again to get to Martinique. We end up wasting almost two entire days if we pick the latter option,"
"That's a very tiring way of traveling and very uncomfortable," Mentioned Alfida with a sad facial expression making Alya nod.
"Yes, it really is. Worse if errors happen and you have to cancel and switch to another plane. This happened to us once and we had to wait a day for the next plane, so we wasted three days of our vacation,"
"That's terrible," Confessed Alfida noticing down a brief phrase out of Alya's story. "You told me before you had four sisters?" The brunette asked earning a nod from the teenager. "Could you talk to me about them, including your parents?"
"Yes. I will talk about my parents first. My mother's name is Marlena, she came as an immigrant here looking for a better life and found herself a job here as a regular cook at a basic Frech restaurant. With the years passing by, she gave birth to me and my older sister Nora. After us, she started to work as a cook in another restaurant, slightly modern and nearly five-star-like. One day, she met Mayor Bourgeois, who had been elected shortly, and demanded to know, who had cooked his dinner. She feared, that he might have not liked it and he confessed to her it was the best thing he's eaten so far and wanted to thank her personally. Thanks to this comment, the restaurant gained more fame and interest from the citizens, including Mayor Bourgeois attended the restaurant occasionally with his clients, asking for dinners especially made by my mother. When he bought the hotel, where he resides up on the penthouse, he invited my mother to become there in the kitchen the new chef, which she happily accepted. Despite it being stricter, than the previous places she has been before, she's happy to be there, cause she's still doing what she loves and is happy to see happy clients there,"
"A very beautiful story. This is a reason, why hard work pays off,"
"This she says to me too," Added Alya making the psychologist smile. "My father's name is Otis. He came at the age of 11 with his parents to Europe and lived for a few years in Bruxelles, Belgium. Around the 17th he moved to Lausanne in Switzerland and worked there for a year, afterward he was paid to do a course at a zoo. After he finished his course he got unemployed and traveled to Paris, where his parents have moved and he met my mother. Both had fallen in love with the time and got married. My father found a job at the zoo by the Jardin de Tuileries and until today, he's there employed," Alya recounted observing the woman write down the story in short tag words.
"What about your sisters? Who are they?"
"My youngest sisters, Etta and Ella are 5 years old. Both were within my mother around the time she was asked to work for Mayor Bourgeois' hotel and after the maternity leave, she started there the job. My oldest sister is called Nora and she's a kickbox teacher for teens. She's 25 and she's a bodybuilder fanatic," Stated Alya making the woman nod, which wrote down all the info related to the Césaires.
"Okay, almost done. To the next question. How are you doing in school? Are you doing good or bad? Which are the subjects you're good at, which not so?"
"School is fine. I have moments, I'm not really motivated into going to, other days are really good. Overall I like going to school, just certain lessons are boring to me,"
"Sure, it's understandable. Which subject do you have the best grade on?"
"Helped by one of my hobbies in my free time, I'm at literature the best," Responded Alya. "I've got a 17 there. Have always shot since the start of the 9th grade. The one I'm less good at, I have mixed grades, between the 12-15 and 10-12. About 6 points more or less physic was the lowest punctuation,"
"Physics is at the moment the most picked up subject, where they have difficulty," Stated Alfida making Alya nod.
"It's difficult in some aspects to learn for its exams, in my opinion," Stated Alya. "You do all the tasks you have as homework plus the ones you don't need to do, but end up not passing above the 10,"
"There's nothing more frustrating, then failing at a test you've put heart and mind on it," Confessed the woman. "Do you have any friends here, you can share your pain and simply get along with them, pretty well?"
"My best friends are Marinette and Nino. Nino's my boyfriend and Marinette's the first friend I made here. Juleka and Rose from my class are also good friends of mine,"
"Have you friends from your previous class?" Questioned the psychologist making Alya shake her head.
"I have lost contact with them after I moved to this school here. There I had two friends and I got along with most of my classmates. Here in Miss Bustier's class, I am good as well. Most of all get good with each other there,"
"Uh hum," Replied Alfida writing down the answer, then glimpsed up at the brunette. "Is your deskmate per coincidence your friend Marinette? Or someone else?"
"Yes, it's Marinette. We've been deskmates since the first day I got here,"
"If you have issues, where you need someone to talk with, she would be one of the first persons you would go to?"
"Yes," Responded Alya.
"Have you got other people you would go to if Marinette wasn't around or you couldn't tell her that for a specific reason?"
"Well Nino or my sister Nora," Answered Alya. "I rarely consult my parents about any issue, unless it has something to do with them,"
"Do you have any health problems, like an allergy or anything else?"
"No, unless I might be a little addicted to using my smartphone or computer to be honest,"
"Not a disease, but I might consider this as once," Commented the psychologist pondering unsure about the topic. "Now moving to the topic of vacations. From all the countries all over the world, where would you love to go on vacation, besides the mentioned countries?"
"I would love to do a world tour," Stated Alya. "There are many places I would love to go. I just would need to do a list and widen the plan to make it work. And I need money, free time, and a friend or two to tagalong,"
"Sure, a world tour with a good friend is more fun, than doing it all alone," Commented Miss Ecofinisher making the Martinique girl nod. "Last but not least, if you were stranded on an island, what three objects would you hope for to have with you there to survive?"
"A swiss army knife, a pot, and toilet paper… no, no, no. I take the first two things and the last thing would be…..I know it a magnifying glass to make a fire," Added Alya, then took her glasses down to use her shirt to clean one lense of it. "I could make fire with it and….wait, my glasses would do that too. Sorry, I take that third option back and I will say….." Alya rolled her down to look at the glasses to check the neatness of the device. "A rope or a cord would be useful…..I take this option as my last one if that's okay,"
"It's very good, Alya. Thank you for your time. I was pleased to meet you,"
"So was I," Announced Alya standing up from the chair, then held her hand out to shake it with the woman.
"You can send your friend Marinette to me," Announced Alfida making Alya smile, which walked out of the office closing the door behind her, and took out her smartphone to open her social network and start a live stream.
"Hey students of the Françoise Dupont. I don't know, who has been in the office of the new school psychologist. Those who don't, there's no need to worry about. She's quite sympathetic, actually, I haven't asked for her age, but she's quite young," Commented Alya moving along the first floor.
