Setting Prompt: Castle
When Ran was a child, Sonoko's house always looked like a castle. For a brief while, a flag displaying the Suzuki emblem had hung on the top, and that only furthered Ran's beliefs.
Now, looking at Sonoko's house, it was just… well, Sonoko's house. Sonoko, who had been her best friend as long as Ran could remember, and had stayed with her all these years, even going to public school when a rich kid like her could easily go somewhere else.
It was only after a sarcastic comment Shinichi made to her that Ran realized she was in love with Sonoko.
"I could get you a castle too," Sonoko offered jokingly, as the two sat down and talked about childhood memories. Conan sat next to them reading a book, but he kept shooting curious glances at the two of them. Ran swore Shinichi told his younger cousin about her feelings for her friend.
"Well, what flag would it have?" Ran asked.
"Mouri Detective Agency," Sonoko offered. "A huuuggggeeeeee flag with that written on it!"
Ran rolled her eyes. "The clients would be too intimidated to come into a castle!"
Sonoko smirked. "Oh, really?"
Ran blushed as her friend leaned closer, and Conan shot her a look. Pushing away any thoughts of kissing Sonoko, Ran got up. "Come on, let's go home!"
Conan seemed to give a tired sigh while Sonoko laughed. "Home to your castle!"
"I don't have a castle!"
