Chapter 6: The second entry: Frozen Attitude

"There she is!", you shouted happily and waved Marinette over. "Hello Marinette, it's so nice to see you again! I love your outfit!"

Indeed she looked super cute in her get-up for the ice ring. She wore a veserity jacket in black with cherry blossom along her sleeves and her pink jeans. Instead of her ballerinas, she wore pink sneakers and her hair was out of her pigtails into a cute ponytail with a little pink bow.

Gosh, you could eat her up!

Marinette blushes cutely and gave you a shy smile.

"Thanks [Y/N], I made this myself.", she told you and played with one sleeve.

"You are a real artist, Marinette. It looks so awesome!", told Luka smiling.

Luka still had his ripped jeans, sneakers, and his favorite Jagged Stone T-Shirt on, but he wore today the dark blue college jacket you gifted him for Christmas last year.

"Thank you, Luka…You both look good too.", said Marinette and blushed adorably.

Could you just kiss her cheeks? That girl was too much for your heart!

Luka rubbed all shy his neck, while you did a little twirl in your outfit to show it off.

You have gone all out to impress Marinette…and Luka you had to admit.

"Thanks, Mari, can I call you that?", you asked.

Marinette nodded.

"Mari is okay."

"Awesome, you can call me Harmony then if you like, it's Luka's nickname for me."

The midnight black-haired girl got a curious glimmer in her eyes.

"Harmony? Why Harmony?", she wondered.

Normally you used a shortened version of the name of the person like you did with her.

Luka answered her: "Because her heartsong is the most harmonic one I ever heard. You won't find a second person who is so…in balance, in harmony with themselves like [Y/N] over here."

Playful he gave you a hair ruffle and you pecked his cheek for it.

"Aww, thanks baby, you aren't bad yourself!"

Maybe you were imagining it/or hoping for it, but you could swear Luka turned a bit red.

"Mmh, I wonder what my heartsong sounds like.", mumbled Marinette to herself, but you heard her.

"Beautiful I bet with you!", you said passionately. "I'm a good people connoisseur and you Marinette are beautiful inside and out!"

Under your praise, she turned red like a tomato and you would bet that steam came out from her ears.

"Don't overstate poor Marinette.", Luka whispered to you.

"But it's true, you told me yourself!", you whispered back.

Before you could turn Marinette even more shy two luxury cars came up.

One silver, one red.

In one was Adrien and the second this girl Kagami.

Like someone gave her a signal Marinette turned with lovestruck eyes to the silver car.

Then that was Adrien.

Dear god, the look in her eyes was creepy you had to admit. It was like all ceased to exist and only the car in which Adrien was in it was important.

You and Luka shared a look. This was going to be a hard mission.

Adrien exit his car and waved cheerfully at you guys.

You grind your teeth and had to use any known force in the universe not to straight up walk to him and give him a punch in his stupid face.

Fucking bastard.

How dare he act like a decent human being, while he let people die?

Didn't he have any remorse?

A Conscience?

Luka wasn't any better than you. You saw how rigged he had become and how his hands were now fists.

Yeah, one wrong word and you both would kick Adrien's ass into next week.

The only one happy to see him was Marinette.

She waved enthusiastically back and nearly fall over herself if you and Luka didn't grip each one of her arms. She gave you a thankful look for that.

Adrien didn't see Marinette little flatter, because he had gone up to open the car door for his date Kagami.

As you saw for the first time Kagami your heart stopped.

No, no, no, no!

This was so unfair!

She was a pretty girl, clearly Asiatic, with similar midnight black hair as Marinette, but she had warm brown eyes. Her build was athletic, you could see it even with her wearing a red skirt with black leggins and black boots and a black jacket with golden accents.

She hold herself proud and faced you three heads on without any sign of nervousness.

You gripped Luka's hand hard and whispered in his ear harshly: "What the fuck?! Why is this beautiful amazon princess interested in fucking Agreste? What the fuck has he that Marinette and her worship his limpy straight-white-ass!"

"You forgot Adrien is a model.", he whispered back. "He is good-looking."

You gave him a blank look.

"You are good-looking, no hotter than the sun that's why nearly everyone at school, boy, girl, whatever wants to jump your bones. That guy over there is just your typical blond boy! I wouldn't touch that even with a 10-meter pole!"

"And that you know who he really is doesn't disturb your look, right?"

"Of course not!"

How could Luka think that? People like him, Marinette, and Kagami were your types!

Damn you really needed to free Kagami also from Adrien's clutches, you wouldn't mind going on a date with her!

Mmh…could you four maybe date all of each other…?

Adrien was surprised but happy to see you. He didn't quite get why Marinette had invented you to their doppel date with Luka and Kagami, something about it been now a three and two date, but he wouldn't look a gifted horse in the mouth.

This was his chance to clear his name.

Even if he had to do it as Adrien.

Anything to get his lady and Paris back in his good graces.

He still was a bit angry at her that she again denied that they belonged together, but he would make her see, how she needed him!

Anyway, he took Kagami's hand and lead her over to you, Luka and Marinette.

Marinette stand before you two and each of you was holding one of her arms and if Adrien saw it right you and Luka were holding hands.

Mmh, how strange?

Wasn't Luka Marinette's date?

"Hello, Marinette and Luka! And you must be [Y/N]! It's nice to meet you!", he greeted you guys.

No one, not even Kagami with her sharp eyes, could see how you have done it but suddenly Marinette was between you and Luka and you were each holding one of her petite hands.

Surprised Marinette looked from Luka's hand to yours and blushed. She felt strangely safe, being in the middle of two people who were older and taller than her.

Each hold her hand like it was something precious.

She never expired something like this.

"I bet it does, Agreste.", you said with a fake smile. "Please call me by my last name, if you would, I don't feel comfortable hearing my name from your lips."

Not only shocked this Adrien but also Marinette and Kagami. No one ever reacted to Adrien in such a hostile way!

"Do we have a problem here, Miss…?", started Kagami to defeat her crush and eyed you.

"[L/N]."

Kagami nodded.

"You are the one who made the video about Chat Noir. Thank you for showing us the true colors of this treacherous cat, but it seems you have something against Adrien and you don't know him."

Adrien groaned in his mind. Kagami too had now something against his other self. Had you turned everybody crazy or what?

And why did you keep looking at him, like you wanted to skin him alive? Well, not only you, but Luka looked also ready to help you skin him.

What was wrong with his friend and you?

You gave Kagami your best smile and answered nonchalantly: "I only need one look to decide if I like someone and sadly I can't say that Agreste here is sympathetic to me. But I will be on my best behavior, I just want that Agreste accepts my boundaries…if he can!"

When you said accepts my boundaries…Adrien had the feeling you were challenging him.

But why?

"Of course, he will, right Adrien?", turned Kagami to him.

He let something out like a yes. He was so confused.

"Then we should enter the ice rink.", said Luka.

Adrien felt under Luka's blue cold eyes like a mouse before a cat.

Ready to be eaten.

And normal he was the cat!

What was going on?

Well, you were now in the ice ring and putting on your skates and cloves.

You and Luka watched Adrien's every move like two hawks, ready to jump in if a problem should arise.

But he behaved like a normal person.

Okay, it was not like you thought he would just stand up and suddenly kiss and touch Kagami or Marinette without their consent, just he couldn't play his golden boy role the whole time!

You were sure.

No one can hide that well his true self.

Little bits always came up.

You just needed to catch him and show Kagami and Marinette what a piece of shit he really was.

It seems like you would get your chance since you saw how Adrien scoots over to be beside Marinette to talk to her.

Luka and you already moved closer. Better being near her.

"It was really cool of you to bring Luka, Marinette.", he told her.

"Of course. That's what friends are for.", she answered.

"Say, how do you know [Y/N]?"

There was his first slip-up. You told him not to use your first name and he just did with Marinette!

You needed to see how Marinette would handle that and if he would come up with an excuse.

She wrinkle her nose cutely and tied the laces of her ice skates.

"She told you to call her by her last name. I don't know why but it's better when you do it when you even talk about her, so you don't slip up."

Marinette was too good for this world. She actually gives him some advice?

Adrien just nodded.

"She is the one who made the Kickat-Blog too right? So how do you know each other?", he wanted to know.

"She is Luka's girlfriend and asked me out on a date too, so we decide to make it a three-way date.", she explained.

You felt how Kagami looked interested over. She probably didn't know any polyamorous people so the concept was new for her too, but she seemed only couries about it.

But the blond boy besides Marinette seemed like someone gave him the news that his cat die or something.

"What? Is this allowed? I only thought you can have a wife or a husband!"

"So you are against LGBTQ+ people?", you said with a voice colder than the ice of the ice ring.

Luka stood beside you and fixed Adrien with his coldest glare.

Even Kagami and Marinette looked shocked at him. Like they couldn't believe what he just said or like they never thought he could say something like that.

Adrien looked between you all and turned red.

"What?"

It was Kagami who answerd him.

Her voice had a quality that made out the nordpole to be a nice summer vacation spot.

"Adrien…I sincerely hope that I just misheard you or that you never heard about polyamorous relationships, since my mother taught me to respect all genders, all sexuality, and all romantic orientations that exist even if I don't understand them. I would never say something so…so…"

"Heterosexual and white?", you helped her.

She gave you a thankful nod.

"Precisely."

"Adrien…", nearly whimpered Marinette. "Do you have something against the LGBTQ+ community?"

You don't know for sure if it was acting or true but the boy gasped and shook his head.

"No of course not I mean I never heard about that you could date multiple people at once, I always thought it was only wife and husband, wife and wife, or husband and husband. I didn't mean to offend [L/N] and Luka. And you Marinette of course."

Damn you were so close. Marinette and Kagami seemed to accept what he said.

"Does it mean you are bisexual, Marinette?", Adrien asked her.

Marinette turned red like a tomato.

"Erm…I'm not sure."

You decide to help her as fast as you could. So you took her hand and helped her up from her sit.

"Agreste, you should be more sensitive. This is Marinette's first date of this kind and she doesn't need to choose a label yet. Hell, she doesn't need one period if she doesn't feel like it. Asking people so random about their sexuality is not nice.", you pointed out.

"I didn't mean to, sorry.", he whined like a kicked puppy.

If you didn't know who he truly was you would fall for his little act, but you know, so you just scoffed and lead Marinette over to Luka. You took with your free hand his and lead them both on the ice.

Kagami watched you, Luka, and Marinette having fun on the ice. You three were cute together, she had to admit. You and Luka treated Marinette like a princess, twirling her around and dipping her, and you and Luka skate together like a well-oiled machine.

She saw how Luka picked you up and throw you in the air, where you made a backflip and landed before an applauding Marinette. You grinned at her flirtatious and the younger girl got all shy and giggled.

The fencer thought Marinette was a rival for Adrien's affection, but seeing this…you three seemed to fit together.

But still, she had to wonder…

"Did you invite them because you were scared of being alone with me?", she asked Adrien, with who she held hands and was skating.

"Of course not.", tried Adrien to resure her. "It's just that I asked Marinette to help me."

"Help you with what?"

"Uh... to perfect my figure skating skills."

Unconvinced Kagami let out a little hum. Something was going on, she just felt it.

"What is your deal then with [Y/N]? You keep staring at her."

Indeed she had caught him looking at you plenty of times. It wasn't amorous ones, for which she was grateful. Still, what was going on?

"I just…want to talk to her."

"About what?"

"About her blog."

Kagami stopped them and stared at Adrien in disbelief.

"Adrien.", she began. "Aren't we currently on a date, even if it's a three and two date? We should enjoy our time together we can talk later with the others."

Adrien rubbed his neck and didn't look her in the eyes.

Someone who couldn't look you in the eyes, always had something to hide from you, had her mother once told her.

"It's just…don't you think she was a bit too mean to Chat Noir?"

What did she hear right now?!

"I hope you are joking Adrien.", hissed Kagami and let go of his hand. "Since my mother drowned in the ocean that Syren created!"

With that, she skated away from him.

She needed time to think.

Currently, you watched how Luka dipped down Marinette and twirled her around, while you followed them laughing.

This date was so much fun!

Spending time with Luka and Marinette…you could get used to it.

It was just wonderful.

In your musings, you didn't catch how the ice skating instructor Philippe tried to convince Marinette and Luka to join his skating school, but you saw an angry Kagami with crossed arms skating all alone and Agreste who leaned on the ice ring.

Seems like he did slip up and Kagami tried to calm down.

Well, you couldn't let that happen.

She needed to keep holding on to these feelings or she would never see Adrien as who he was truly.

So you skated up to her with your arms behind your back.

You two skate in silence for two rounds. It was a comfortable silence. Kagami seemed to like or at least tolerate you. She didn't seem the type to hide her opinion on people.

"Wanna tell me what Agreste said, that made you so angry?", you offered. "Or we can continue to be still and skate."

Kagami eyed you. You didn't seem to ask because you were nosy…it seemed more like you wanted really to lead her an ear.

"Normally Adrien is the perfect gentlemen.", she began. "But he said something so incredible unsensible that I'm questioning myself what I'm doing here with him."

"What did he say?"

"He said you were too hard on Chat Noir on your blog and if I agreed. I do not. Not only because my mother died because of the cat's unwillingness to be a decent hero, but because like you said Chat Noir isn't a hero and needs to be stripped off his ring."

Wow, you wonder how stupid Adrien could be. You thought he was the least smart since he know he couldn't act as Adrien the way he did as Chat Noir because he would face consequences, but this changed your mind.

"Kagami can I ask you a question?", you started.

She nodded, meaning you could continue.

"Why do you even like Agreste? I needed one look at him to see he his a limply whiny brat who has his own head so far up his ass that he doesn't care for anybody but himself. So what draw you to him?"

Kagami blinked and frowned. That was a good question. They were good fencing partners, but besides that…?

What was there?

"I…don't know.", she admitted aloud. "We fence together, we both come from rich and strict families, I thought we had so much in common. But hearing him defending Chat Noir…what kind of person does that?"

"Someone who is just like him.", you told her straight forward.

The younger turned her head to you and you could see the storm of emotion in her brown eyes. You patted her shoulder and gave her a little piece of paper with your phone number on it.

"Think about it, Kagami. And if you ever need someone to talk to, you can call me.", you offered.

With a last pat, you skated towards Luka and Marinette.

You hoped this was enough to kill Kagami's crush.

Now you needed to take care of Marinette's one.

Marinette felt bad to decline the offer of the ice skate instructor, but she already had so much to do as Ladybug, and her workload wouldn't be less in the future.

"Hey, guy's what did I miss!", you sang and made a pirouette before Luka and Marinette.

Luka laughed at your happy attitude, it always made him happy when you were happy, while Marinette asked: "Was that a Hamilton reference?"

You and your best friend stared at her with big eyes and you took Marinette's free hand in yours.

"You know Hamilton?", Luka and you asked exited.

"Erm, yes!"

"Oh my god, Mari!", you squealed. "We need to totally watch it together and sing the songs! Me and Luka love Hamilton to death!"

"It's our favorite musical.", added Luka.

Marinette got a big smile on her face and squeezed your hands.

"It's mine too. I wouldn't mind watching it together."

"Then it settles, that will be our seconde date!", you decide and raised your fist in the air. "How about next Saturday?"

Before Luka and Marinette could agree, the ice instructor was before you and practically yelled: "Oh young lady, you have such passion and a beautiful voice and I saw the flawless pirouette you just did. Why don't you join my ice skating school?"

You blinked and shrugged your shoulder.

"Erm, okay."

It was like you gave the men back all his hope or something, this happy he was. He hold for you the inscription form and gave you a pen to write your name down. After that, he made a high jump and sing-songed: "Oh Mister Mayor, sir!"

And skated away.

You three looked confused at him.

"That guy is enthusiastic.", you said finally.

Luka and Marinette could just nod.

Adrien was still leaning all alone on the ice ring and wondering what he was doing wrong.

Kagami ignored him now totally and actually joined you, Luka and Marinette skating.

At first, it seemed Marinette and Kagami didn't know how to act around each other, but after a few minutes, Adrien saw how both girls laughed over a joke Luka made. You were just grinning and seemed to be really happy about something.

Currently, Marinette and Luka were skating in a pair, while you skated with Kagami.

He never saw Kagami smiling at him like she smiled at you. She seemed to dare you to do something, but you shook your head and seemed to argue back.

Then to his surprise, and also Marinette and Luka, Kagami raised you over her head, you who was a head taller than her, and then dipped you down which turned you into a tomato.

Luka and Marinette laughed and gave a round of applause.

Adrien felt for the first time in his life left out. Normal anybody wanted to be near him and he didn't like that very much, but now he felt how much he missed that.

It was all your fault, he decide. You created the blog that destroyed his reputation as a hero and now you were taking away his friends and his date. Not that he really was interested in Kagami, his lady hold all his heart, but it's about the principle here.

He saw how you gave Kagami a little kiss on the cheek. She turned a lovely shade of red and touched the place like in a trance. You giggled cutely and Luka and Marinette were cooing at you two.

You said something and shoved Kagami to Luka and took Marinette's hand. Luka and Kagami looked at each other and shrugged their shoulder. They didn't hold hands but skated together like they were old friends, talking and laughing.

You twirled Marinette and then gave her cheek a little kiss too. The squawk she made could hear Adrien even from his place. Marinette blushed red like a rose and buried her face in your chest, while you hugged her laughing.

This was his chance!

With Marinette around you surely would hear him out! She probably would agree with him and anything would return to normal.

So he skates up to you guys.
