A/N: For the sake of preserving my sanity, some chronological events might not hold up with the series as there are many gaps and inconsistencies. The first prophecy will remain the same but I am adding my own prophecy into the mix as an underlying plotline for future events. I do not own the Warrior Cats series, nor am I affiliated with it. I am merely a grown ass adult who can't let go of a children's series and I don't want to either!

Chapter 1: Nostalgia

Is this how my life is going to be from now on? Sleep, work, clean, pay bills, repeat. It's a never ending cycle of stress and lackluster. Setting the glass of wine down she glared at the large box in front of her. Her name plastered across the front of it in elegant cursive. Eliana's Books. Her mother had brought it over yesterday, having found it while cleaning out their storage compartment. She had opened it only once, seeing the stack of childrens books filling it before setting it aside.

"It's your fault you know." Eliana said to no one in particular, her blue eyes watching the book, accusation heavy in her voice. "You were filled with so many hopes and dreams, you put all you had into them. Now look at us." Sighing she finished off her glass and picked up the offending cardboard, grunting at the weight of it as she moved to her couch. Setting it on the floor she reopened the top and leaned back against the cushions, trying to get the motivation to start.

It didn't take long, her need for order and perfection in her house outweighed her resentment and stress of going through her childhood memories. "So many stories of people getting what they want. Of wishing on stars and kissing princes." Scoffing, she pulled out a stack of books, organizing them by authors names on the coffee table in front of her. "Hopes and dreams of drama, love, and riches. Now look at me." The last words were muttered with such reverence that she surprised even herself.

For the next half hour she worked to organize the childrens books, figuring out which ones she could donate and which ones could go to her nieces. When she was nearing the bottom a title caught her eye and she couldn't help but laugh. "The one book in here that didn't promise a future of an easy going life and I never even finished the first series." The white letters against the green forest background shone out at her, the image of an orange cat with green eyes stared up into her own blue ones. Warriors by Erin Hunter.

Setting it to the side she finished up with the organizing and put some on her shelf while the rest went back into the box. She set it next to her door with promises to bring it to Goodwill or something. Moving back to her couch she picked up the Warriors book, thumbing through it while pouring herself another glass of strawberry wine.

Delving into the book she found herself reliving her childhood once more, enraptured by the simple pages and storyline that greeted her. As she read the book she emptied the bottle of wine before moving through the house slowly. A glance at the clock a while later showed her the time, it was almost midnight and she had work the next morning. Glancing at the book she groaned and closed it, carrying it with her up the stairs. A flash of white fur out of the corner of her eyes was all the warning she got before she was sent flying over the banister towards the ground below. Her head connected with the hardwood, the air knocked out of her lungs. Stars exploded behind her eyes, dancing rhythmically before fading, the taste of copper in her mouth. The book lay next to her, opened to a blank page. As darkness swam around her vision she watched as her cat Auri walked slowly towards her, amber eyes shining brightly against her white fur. A voice echoed loudly in her head as a small paw laid itself on the empty page. 'Before the Tiger roars and the Fire burns, Shadows call must be heard. She closed her eyes and knew no more.
