On a sunny afternoon, the Warners were sitting on the sofa engaging in conversation. Katie was there, also, since she was invited over and they didn't hang out together very often.
"I appreciate you guys inviting me over. I was getting bored to tears at my place." Katie said.
"Trust us, we know what that feels like." Yakko said.
"You're welcome to come over any time." Wakko said.
"Our treat!" Dot said.
Katie smiled knowingly. "Welp, I don't know about you, but I'm getting the urge to watch a movie."
The Warners frowned. After seeing that musical, they were pretty much checked out with movies in general.
"We just a saw movie yesterday, and it was terrible." Yakko said.
"How come?" Katie asked, curious.
"It was a musical, and as soon as the main character started singing, we knew it was going to be bad." Wakko said.
"Oh wow." Katie said.
"Yeah, the film was two hours and five minutes of bad." Dot said.
"That sucks. I've seen plenty of horrible movies in my life, so I know how it feels." Katie said.
"I'm sure of it." Yakko said.
"Anyway, you guys like horror movies?" Katie asked.
"I like them." Yakko said.
"I don't mind them." Dot said.
"Same." Wakko said.
"Well, in that case, I wouldn't mind watching one, unless you guys don't want to." Katie said.
"Nah, we don't mind." Yakko said.
"Yeah, we can face anything." Wakko said.
"Even scary and horrifying imagery." Dot said.
"Great!" Katie said with a smile.
The Warners turned on the TV and opened up Netflix. Then, Katie picked a movie called The Murder of Sophie Robinson.
"This movie came out pretty recently, so let's hope it's good." Katie said.
The movie started. At first, it started out fairly slow. The scary parts didn't come until the middle, in which the group could handle all of it. But then, when the third act came, things started to get real intense. Yakko, Dot, and Katie were starting to tense up, while Wakko was trembling, he was so terrified.
"Pause the movie." Dot said.
Katie paused the film. "What's wrong?"
"I have to use the bathroom." Dot responded.
"Oh, okay." Katie said.
Dot got up and walked off. Wakko was still shaking uncontrollably. Yakko and Katie noticed this and became highly concerned.
"Wak, are you alright?" Yakko asked.
All Wakko could mutter was, "S-scary...m-murderers...h-horrifying..."
"Hey, it's okay, it's just a movie." Katie said, trying to comfort.
Wakko didn't say anything and was still shaking.
Katie scooted closer to Wakko and held him. "Hey, buddy, I know you're scared, but everything that's happening on screen, it isn't real, I promise." Her tone of voice was soft and soothing.
Wakko started to feel better. "Thanks, Katie." He gave a light smile.
"You're welcome." Katie said with a smile, and let go of Wakko.
Yakko was all the while impressed. "Wow. How did you do that?"
"I often comfort my little brother, Tinker, when he gets scared." Katie said.
"Your parents must be proud of you." Yakko said.
"They sure are." Katie said.
Dot came back into the living room and sat down on the sofa. "What'd I miss?"
"Katie comforted me!" Wakko said cheerfully.
"Aww, how nice." Dot said.
The group finished the movie. They all liked it, which was a good thing.
"I must say, that was a good movie." Yakko said.
"Agreed." Wakko said.
"Yeah, I liked it, too." Dot said.
"I loved it!" Katie said.
All of the sudden, the Bugs Bunny telephone rang, prompting the Warners to say, "I'll get it!" And race towards the phone.
Yakko snatched the phone before his siblings could even get their hands on it.
"I never get to get it!" Wakko whined, pouting.
"Hello? Hi, Jordan!" Yakko said into the phone.
"Hey, just wanted to call you to tell you that I'll be coming over. I'm on my way."
"Alright, sounds good." Yakko said.
"See you in a bit. Bye."
"Bye." Yakko said, and hung up the phone. "That was Jordan. He said he's coming over in a minute."
"Alright." Wakko said.
"It'll be nice to see him." Dot said.
Katie started to panic. "Wait, Jordan's coming over?"
"Yeah." Yakko responded.
"Well then, it that case, uh, I guess I'll be going now." Katie said nervously. She was starting to swear and was blushing.
"You don't have to leave just yet." Wakko said.
"No really, I insist. I don't wanna intrude on any quality time you have with Jordan." Katie said.
The Warners looked at each other, confused.
"Okay, well, if you really feel that way, we won't press on." Dot said.
"Thanks for understanding. Tell Jordan I said hi." Katie said. She immediately rushed out of the water tower.
"What was that about, sibs?" Yakko asked.
"I don't know." Wakko said with a shrug.
"Beats me." Dot said.
Soon after, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" Yakko called.
Jordan entered the water tower. "Hey, guys."
"Hi, Jordan!" The Warners said at the same time.
"I bumped into Katie Ka-Boom on my way here, on accident of course." Jordan said.
"How coincidental." Wakko said.
"I don't know for sure, but I think she likes me." Jordan said.
"Why do you think that?" Dot asked, curious.
"Every time I see her, she always looks at me funny. It doesn't bother me or anything, it's just something I noticed." Jordan said.
"You know, when we first met Katie, she was the sweetest girl in the whole world. And she still is to this day." Yakko said.
"I can tell." Jordan said.
"Now, answer this, do you like Katie?" Wakko asked.
Jordan was being put on the spot. "Well, I mean...she is very cute..."
"Oooooooooooh!" The Warners teased.
"You've got a crush!" Dot said in a sing-song voice.
"Okay, okay, I admit it. I have a crush on Katie." Jordan said sheepishly.
"You know what that means!" Yakko said.
"You have to ask her out!" Wakko said.
"Whoa, guys, not so fast. As odd as this sounds, I'm not looking for a relationship right now. I have so much more in life I wanna focus on." Jordan said.
"Really? Aren't you even a little curious?" Dot asked.
"Nope." Jordan responded.
"So be it then." Yakko said.
"I don't know why you guys are so disappointed. Not everyone dates." Jordan said.
"We totally get that, it's just that we get excited when we find out about people having crushes on other people." Wakko said.
"No hard feelings." Dot said.
"Good to know." Jordan said. He went over to the refrigerator, opened it, grabbed a bottle of water, took a sip, before putting it back. "So, what are we doing today?"
"Whatever you have in mind. Before you came, us and Katie watched a movie together." Yakko said.
"Was it a musical?" Jordan asked, taking a seat on the sofa.
"No, it was a horror movie." Wakko said.
"Ah, I see. What was it called?" Jordan asked.
"The Murder of Sophie Robinson. It was pretty good." Dot said.
"That's good. Like I said before, I'm not a fan of horror movies. I know they're made to scare the crap out of people, but still. Even cult classics like Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th I don't like all that much. Kids at school would give me shit about it, but I didn't care. I'm not gonna watch something I don't enjoy." Jordan said.
"At least you're honest. Some people like to pretend they like a movie they're watching even though you can tell from their reaction how they really feel." Yakko said.
"Yeah. Speaking of kids at school, let me tell you what happened yesterday." Jordan said.
"Do tell us." Wakko said, getting intrigued.
"When I got to school, these triplet brothers named the Petersons ganged up on me. Sam and Johnny pinned me against the wall, while Will was punching me in the stomach. Hard." Jordan said.
"Ouch! Are you okay?" Dot asked, concerned.
"I'm fine. There were no bruises on me or anything, I was just in a lot of pain." Jordan said.
"Sorry that happened to you. School bullies are the worst." Yakko said.
"They sure are, Yakko. They sure are. Aside from that, my dad came to visit me as well." Jordan said.
"How's he doing?" Wakko asked.
"He's good. Due to him recently getting caught up in his job, he's not around as much as he used to be, which bothers me, but there's nothing I could do about it." Jordan said.
"Interesting. How's your mom?" Dot asked.
"She's good, too." Jordan said.
"Your mom and dad divorced, right? Sorry if that's a personal question." Yakko said apologetically.
"That's right. Good thing they don't hate each other, though." Jordan said.
"Very good thing." Wakko said.
The day after, when Jordan arrived at school, the Peterson brothers were eyeballing him as he walked through the hallway and into his first period class.
"Monroe's still here, bros. Doesn't look like he'll be leaving town any time soon." Will said.
"Yeah, he made that pretty clear." Sam said snidely.
"It's not like we can just pick him up and throw him out of town just like that, are we forgetting that?" Johnny asked.
"Good point, Johnny. It's made clear that he's out of our hands at this point." Will said.
"So are you saying we should just leave him alone?" Sam asked.
"No, Sam, I'm not saying that. We'll deal with him another time." Will said.
"If only we had superpowers, then we'd be unstoppable." Johnny said.
"Get your head out of your ass, Johnny. This isn't a comic book movie." Sam said, very annoyed.
"There's no need to insult me, Sam. Jeez." Johnny said defensively.
"I wouldn't have to if you weren't an idiot!" Sam snapped.
"Hey, who are you calling an idiot, asshat?!" Johnny snapped.
"Will you two cut it out?! I'm tired of you guys fighting all the time. It's getting annoying!" Will interjected.
"Sorry, Will." Sam said.
"Yeah, sorry, Will." Johnny said.
"That's better. Come on, bros, let's go to class." Will said.
Will, Sam, and Johnny headed to their first period class.
Meanwhile, in his class, Jordan was playing his favorite game on his phone until the second bell rang. He put his phone in his backpack (with it shut off) and sighed.
The teacher walked into the classroom. "Good morning, class!"
"Good morning, Mr. Harrison!" The class yelled at the same time.
"We're gonna review homework in a few minutes, so take that out." Mr. Harrison said.
The class reached into their backpacks and took out their homework from last night. Mr. Harrison sat down at his desk and checked the attendance on the computer.
Shortly after, Mr. Harrison went over homework. There were only a couple students that didn't do it, which is to be expected in school.
After class was over, the students got up one-by-one and left, except Jordan, who wanted to talk to the teacher.
"Mr. Harrison?"
"Hello, Jordan." Mr. Harrison said.
"I need to talk to you about something. You see, these three kids named the Petersons have been watching me, and I'm scared. They even ganged up on me and beat me up." Jordan said.
"Wow, I had no idea! Thank you for letting me know. I'll report them to the guidance counselor right away. Do you know their names?" Mr. Harrison asked.
"Their names are Will, Sam, and Johnny." Jordan responded.
"Got it. Again, thanks for telling me. Bullies are the worst." Mr. Harrison said.
"No problem, and thanks for your help." Jordan said.
"Sure thing!" Mr. Harrison said.
Jordan left the classroom while the Peterson triplets eyeballed him. Since they overheard the conversation, they were angry.
"I can't believe it! Monroe ratted on us! That little shithead!" Will complained.
"What are we gonna do now that we're in trouble?" Sam asked.
"Don't worry, we'll do our best to avoid it. It's what we do best." Johnny said.
"Like always?" Will asked.
"You bet." Johnny said.
