The time was 6:45 PM. The Warners were sitting on the sofa babbling about whatever until Dot decided to stand up.
"I guess I should start heading down to Katie's now. I don't wanna be late to the slumber party." Dot said.
"Have fun!" Yakko and Wakko said together cheerfully.
"I will. See you guys later." Dot said, and left the water tower.
"I wonder what they're gonna talk about." Wakko said.
"Probably typical slumber party stuff." Yakko guessed.
Outside the lot, Dot checked her wristwatch.
"Yeah, this definitely should be enough time."
Then, Jordan walked by and noticed Dot. "Hey, Dot."
"Hey, Jordan." Dot greeted.
"Are you ready for Katie's slumber party?" Jordan asked.
"I sure am!" Dot said.
"Me too! Except, I'm a little nervous, to be honest." Jordan said while scratching his neck.
"Why is that?" Dot asked, curious.
"Because I'll be the only boy there, and I don't wanna make anything awkward, you know what I'm saying?" Jordan said.
"Jordan, I promise you, there's nothing to be nervous about. Just try to be as relaxed as possible, and go with the flow." Dot said reassuringly.
Jordan smiled knowingly. "I'll try my best."
"Good. Ready to go?" Dot asked.
"Yep!" Jordan responded.
Dot pulled two segways for her and Jordan from her hammerspace. He and her hopped on the segways and drove off.
[Katie's house]
Dot and Jordan arrived at Katie's house. They hopped off the segways and entered the house.
"Dot, Jordan, welcome! Glad you could make it." Katie said. She was wearing pajamas.
"We're glad to be here. I wouldn't miss this for the world." Dot said.
"Me neither. I haven't been to a slumber party since like first grade." Jordan said.
"Wow, I'm sure you'll love this one." Katie said.
"I hope so." Jordan said.
"Trust us, Jordan, you will. We just know it." Dot said with a smile.
A knock came upon the front door.
"Come in!" Katie called.
Hello Nurse entered the house and walked into the living room. "I made it!"
"Heloise, welcome!" Katie greeted.
"Hi, Dot." Hello Nurse said.
"Hello." Dot said.
"How are you doing, Jordan?" Hello Nurse asked.
"Good, how are you?" Jordan asked.
"I'm doing good." Hello Nurse said.
"Well, we should probably wait until the others show up before we do games and activities." Katie said.
Speaking of other people showing up, there was another knock at the door.
"Come in!" Katie called.
Slappy Squirrel entered the house. "Am I dressed appropriately?"
"I would say so." Dot said.
"You may have forgotten your night cap." Hello Nurse said.
"No I didn't, it's in my pocket." Slappy said, tapping her pocket.
"No offense to you, Slappy, but you look kind of funny without your hat on." Jordan said, trying to stifle a laugh.
"Why? Is it because of the my head is shaped?" Slappy asked.
"Probably." Jordan said with a giggle.
Dot, Hello Nurse, and Katie were smiling as well. Laughter is contagious, after all.
"Laugh all ya want, I'm still plain 'ol Slappy Squirrel with or without my hat." Slappy remarked.
Soon after, the doorbell rang, which made the group jump.
"It's open!" Katie called.
Rita entered the house in a sing-song voice. "I am here!"
"Welcome, Rita!" Katie greeted.
"Thanks! I always look forward to group gatherings like this. Jordan, it's nice to see you." Rita said.
"You too, Rita. How's Runt doing?" Jordan asked.
"He's alright. He got pretty sad when I told him I was gonna be here, but he said he'd do something to keep himself occupied while I was gone." Rita said.
After a while, Mindy, Minerva Mink, and Marita Hippo showed up and sat on the floor with the others.
"Now that everyone's here, what should we do first?" Katie asked.
"You're the host, you tell us." Dot said.
"Okay, well, um...wow, this is hard. I've never hosted a slumber party before." Katie said, hesitating.
"I wish we would've known that before you invited us." Hello Nurse said.
"Don't worry, there's always room for improvement. Besides, I have an idea. I could tell you all more about me if you're interested." Jordan said.
"Great idea, Jordan! We don't know much about you, so this'll be a treat." Rita said.
"Here I go. First thing's first, let's get this out of the way. I'm not from Burbank." Jordan said.
"I didn't know that. Where are you from?" Slappy asked.
"I was born in New Jersey, and I spent the first fourteen years of my life there, until I moved here last year due to my dad getting a job promotion." Jordan said.
"Interesting. Does he still work at that job?" Minerva asked.
"No, he quit a few weeks ago because according to him, it was too difficult. Now he works as a mechanic." Jordan said.
"And somehow, that's much easier for him?" Marita asked.
"Must be, Marita." Jordan said.
"Do you have any special talents?" Dot asked.
"Uh, not that I can think of." Jordan responded.
"I'm not buying that at all. Every person has to have at least ONE special talent." Katie said.
"Really? Who told you that?" Jordan asked with a perplexed grin.
"My science teacher. He was teaching us evolution." Katie said.
"Welp, I must be the one exception to that rule, 'cause I'm talentless. Not like you guys. All of you are such great actors." Jordan said.
"Awww, Jordan, that's so sweet of you to say!" Hello Nurse said, flattered and touched.
"You're welcome. The fact that I have the opportunity to hang out with you guys is incredible. I'll never take this for granted, ever." Jordan said.
"And we'll never YOU for granted, either. You can count on that." Dot said with a smile.
All of the sudden, Jordan's stomach rumbled. "Looks like my tummy's calling for me!"
"I'll order a pizza. What toppings do you guys want?" Katie asked.
"Pizza!" Mindy said cheerfully.
"You're adorable, Mindy." Jordan said, smiling. He tussled Mindy's hair, eliciting a giggle from her.
"I wouldn't mind having supreme." Slappy said.
"Pepperoni for me, please." Marita said.
"I'll take a cheese." Minerva said.
"Me too." Hello Nurse said.
"What about you, Dot?" Katie asked.
"I'll actually have pineapple on mine." Dot responded.
"Gross, but okay. Jordan, what about you?" Katie asked.
"Same as Dot." Jordan said.
"You got it!" Katie said.
"Mindy can share with Heloise and I." Minerva said.
"I can't believe people actually like pineapple on pizza. Speaking of which, I'll have Italian sausage on mine." Rita said.
"You don't have to call Dot and I out like that, you know." Jordan joked.
"Yeah, everybody has different tastes." Dot agreed.
"I'm just sayin', I don't always agree with people." Rita said.
"Nobody does, it's what makes us human." Katie said.
"You're starting to sound like Newt." Slappy said.
"Speaking of Newt, he told me he would be doing 'dog-things' with Runt and Buttons. I wonder what he meant by that." Minerva said.
"So THAT's what Runt must be up to! He didn't bother to tell me what he'd be doing while I was gone. All he said was 'keeping himself occupied'." Rita said.
"Can we talk about how adorable Runt actually is? Every time I see him, I just wanna squish his cheeks!" Katie said.
"I love how you said 'actually' like he wasn't depicted as adorable before you brought it up." Jordan said.
"I know, I was trying to make a point." Katie said.
"Runt is pretty adorable, though. Buttons as well. And Newt, too." Dot said.
"I can't argue with that." Hello Nurse said.
"We should have done a skit where me and Flavio decided to adopt Runt. It is too bad the show ended before we could do so." Marita said.
"Katie, are you gonna order them pizzas or what? I'm starvin' here." Slappy complained.
"Hold your horses, Slappy. I'm not exactly a fast person." Katie said, pulling out her phone.
Katie dialed the number for Percy's Pizza Palace and ordered some pizzas for the group. After that, she hung up.
"They said it'll be here in about twenty minutes."
"That's good enough for me." Dot said.
"Now that I think about, the Warners are the only cast members who don't have smartphones. Everybody else on the show has one." Jordan said.
"I don't have one. And I'm gonna get one, either. I'm way too old to be handling those new-fangled gadgets." Slappy said.
"What generation are you? Are you a silent or a baby boomer?" Jordan asked.
"That's none of your concern." Slappy responded sternly.
"Sorry I asked..." Jordan said, making a face.
"Slappy, don't be rude. He just asked you a question." Hello Nurse said.
"I know that, Heloise, I ain't stupid." Slappy remarked.
"Heloise?" Jordan asked.
"Yes, Jordan?" Hello Nurse asked.
"I have a question for you." Jordan said.
"Shoot." Hello Nurse said.
"How come in one of the episodes, the creative team had you make out with Chicken Boo?" Jordan asked, heavily amused.
Dot, Slappy, Rita, Mindy, Katie, Minerva, and Marita looked at Hello Nurse. She was being put on the spot.
"Well, uh..." Hello Nurse laughed. "I just, um...they told me that was the skit they were going to do, and I just ran with it. I had a wonderful time filming that episode, and so did Chicken Boo."
"Gotcha. Sorry if that was too personal, I was just curious." Jordan said.
"It's okay." Hello Nurse said with a smile.
"I bet you're all upset that you don't have any major roles in the reboot, with the exception of Dot of course." Jordan said.
"We got over it after a while." Katie said.
"I would hope you did." Jordan said.
"I mean, the original show downgraded me to just a supporting background character after two cartoons, so I wasn't that surprised about it." Minerva said.
"I actually really like your character, Minerva, and you as a person, too." Jordan said.
"Aww, thanks!" Minerva said, smiling. She was flattered.
"I cannot believe it's been twenty-nine years since Animaniacs first premiered. It will be thirty years next year!" Marita said.
"Gosh, it's really been that long, huh? It doesn't feel that long." Slappy said.
"Time just goes by so fast it's unbelievable." Dot said.
"And yet not a single one of you has aged a day." Jordan said.
"I'm grateful for that!" Katie said.
"Amen, sister!" Hello Nurse cheered.
Without warning, the doorbell rang, alarming the group.
"Ooh, that must be the pizza!" Katie said, getting up. She answered the door.
"Hi."
"Hi. It'll be twenty dollars even please." The delivery guy said.
Katie pulled out a twenty-dollar bill from her pocket. "Here you go!"
"Thank you, and here's your pizzas." The delivery guy said, grabbing the money.
"Thank you!" Katie said, grabbing the pizzas.
"Enjoy your evening." The delivery guy said.
"You too." Katie said, and shut the door. She walked back to the group. "Dig in!"
Dot and Jordan each grabbed of a slice of pineapple pizza, Hello Nurse, Mindy, and Minerva grabbed a slice of cheese, Slappy grabbed a slice of supreme, Rita grabbed a slice of Italian sausage, and Marita grabbed a slice of pepperoni. Katie grabbed a slice of one of each.
"This pizza's mighty delicious!" Jordan said.
"I know, right? It's mouth-watering, too." Dot said.
"The cheese really melts in your mouth." Rita said.
"I wish I'd known that before I burnt my tongue." Slappy mused.
"Be careful, Mindy, the pizza's very hot." Hello Nurse warned.
"Pizza!" Mindy said. She took a bite and giggled while chewing.
"Mmmm, very scrumptious!" Marita said.
"I gotta say, I sure am enjoying this slumber party. I had my doubts at first, but this is great." Jordan said.
"I told you." Dot said with a wink.
The group continued to indulge in their pizza. After they finished, they were all crazy full.
"Is any else stuffed?" Katie asked, strained.
"Here here!" Everyone announced tiredly.
"Let's wait until our food digests before we do games or activities." Katie said.
"Actually, Katie, if you don't mind, I'm not up for any games or activities." Jordan said.
"Me neither." Slappy said.
"Wow, okay then. Anyone else?" Katie asked.
"Nope." Dot, Hello Nurse, Rita, Mindy, Minerva, and Marita responded together.
"Very well then." Katie said, slightly disappointed.
[Later]
When it became midnight, everyone was tuckered out. Mindy was already asleep.
"What do you say we turn in for the night, huh?" Katie asked tiredly.
The group groaned as they were exhausted.
"I'll grab sleeping bags." Katie said, and walked off. She came back in an instant with the sleeping bags.
Each member of the group got into a sleeping bag and fell asleep within seconds.
"Good night, everyone." Katie said with a yawn.
Nobody said anything as they were all fast asleep, out like a light.
