A birthday with you
Soft murmurs accompanied by an even soundly breathing slowly pull her out of her slumber, waking her up.
It's then when Tsubasa feels something tickling her nose slightly, a sweet fruity scent filling her nostrils as the body in between her arms move to be completely pressed against her front, eliciting a soft smile from her.
She smiles even wider upon the feeling of the girl between her arms fitting perfectly in them and against her body, before she slowly begins to open her eyes to get lost on the disheveled pink mane of her girlfriend, giggling as she tightens her hold around Maria careful to not wake her up.
Tsubasa can't help but admire the peaceful expression and the sweet smile adorning her face, before her eyes begin to travel along her naked body, blushing as she notices her pale skin contrasting deliciously against her light tanned skin.
She closes her eyes and snuggles more up into Maria to keep enjoying the tranquility the older girl brings with her, the feeling of her naked body and her soft skin against hers as well as the sweet scent her fruity shampoo gives off for a brief moment. She then reopens her eyes to notice the sun slowly rising up, its early rays sneaking through their windows to rest upon Maria's pale skin, making it glow as if she was an angel.
But to Tsubasa, Maria herself is an angel, her angel.
A heavy sigh escapes her lips as she reluctantly begins to untangle herself from the embrace of the angel in between her arms, leaving a fleeting kiss on her shoulder as she lets her sleep for a bit longer.
As she successfully finishes untangling herself from the embrace, she hears Maria mumbling something in her sleep.
- Tsubasa…
Tsubasa hears her name being called as a cooing in between dreams, and can't help but smile widely, feeling her chest bursting happily at it.
She leaves another kiss, this time on Maria's head and covers her with the thin sheet so she doesn't get cold in her absence, to then gather her clothes spread all over the floor of their bedroom and stealthily leave the room to get dressed in the living room.
She then checks her phone, reading a new text from Serena.
"I'm almost there ?"
It says, causing a smile to appear on her face, before she makes sure one last time that Maria is still sleeping soundly in their bed, to go to open the front door before Serena can even ring the doorbell or knock on the door and disturb the peaceful slumber of the sleeping angel in the bedroom.
As soon as Tsubasa opens the door, she places a finger on her lips as a silent gesture, hearing Serena giggling in return as she shows her a big box, entering the house.
- I take that my sister is still asleep.
Serena whispers as she walks towards the kitchen to leave the box on the countertop.
- I didn't have the heart to wake her up – Tsubasa whispers back, seeing Serena nodding and smiling at her.
- Good, because we don't want her to find out about her surprise yet – she says winking at Tsubasa, before she begins to head towards the front door – Well, I'll be leaving now, remember the party is this evening at our home.
She says referring to her and Kanade's home as she's leaving, and Tsubasa can't help but furrow her brow confused.
- Wait, aren't you staying?
She asks aloud and Serena can only look at her amusedly while giggling.
- Trust me Tsubasa, my sister would rather wake up with you than with me – Serena says teasingly, winking at Tsubasa who can't help but blush as she waves goodbye to her sister-in-law.
As soon as she recovers from her astonishment, she chuckles and goes back to the bedroom to see Maria in the same position she left her, still sleeping peacefully.
A fond smile plays on her lips as she approaches her stealthily to begin leaving kisses on her naked back, going up to her shoulder blade, her neck, jawline and lastly, her lips, hearing Maria giggling cutely the entire time.
She then sees her smiling widely, before she begins to slowly open her eyes, her cyan eyes sparkling as brightly as the crystalline water.
- Good morning my love.
Tsubasa says as she leans down to kiss Maria sweetly, smiling coyly as she hears her cute and lovely giggle once again.
- Good morning indeed.
Maria says giddily, cupping Tsubasa's cheek to pull her closer and kiss her once again, before she slowly sits up, letting the thin sheet covering her fall.
Tsubasa upon seeing her perfect naked body, can't help but avert her gaze, a deep blush tinting her cheeks that cause Maria to laugh wholeheartedly.
- We've been together for such a long time, and you still blush as hard as the first time.
Maria teases Tsubasa, seeing her looking back at her with a cute pout adorning her face that makes Maria giggle again and cup her cheek to kiss her sweetly.
- You're truly adorable, Tsubasa – Maria whispers against the younger girl's lips, pecking them once more.
- You aren't fair.
- I'm never fair though.
Maria quickly retorts to Tsubasa's mumble, making Tsubasa roll her eyes before she kisses her one last time and gives her back her clothes, offering Maria her hand to get out of bed and get dressed.
Once she's dressed, they get out of their bedroom to walk hand in hand to their kitchen where a big box awaits for them.
Maria looks at Tsubasa confused, getting a smile from her in return, before she pulls a strawberry cake out of the big box.
- Oh Tsu, you didn't have to do it.
Maria says moved with a fond smile on her face, accepting Tsubasa's offer to help her sit on the stool.
- Serena and Shirabe were the ones who made it, I know it's your favorite.
Tsubasa says as Maria giggles and leaves another kiss on the blue haired girl's cheek, making the blush return to her face.
- Thank you, Tsu. So my sister was here?
Maria asks as she looks around the open floor apartment trying to find her, confused upon haven't seen her around while Tsubasa cuts a slice of the cake.
- She was, but she left to help preparing your birthday party. You know how excited Tachibana, Kirika and Kanade are with it – Tsubasa says with a fond smile on her face as she leaves the slice of cake on Maria's plate – Besides, she said you would rather wake up with me than with her.
Tsubasa ends up saying with her brow furrowed while Maria laughs wholeheartedly.
- My sister wasn't wrong there.
She teases the younger girl as she puts some cream on the corner of Tsubasa's mouth to then lick it with her tongue, causing the other girl to blush deeply.
- H-happy birthday.
Tsubasa stutters, feeling suddenly like a prey to the birthday girl.
- Happy birthday indeed.
Maria whispers as she kisses Tsubasa, tasting the sweetness of the cake her sister and best friend made for her with so much love.
