"I just don't get it Pepper. Zoe has been avoiding me all day. I know she's here. I can smell her scent." Alexis says as she is with Pepper.
"I don't get that either. You and Zoe are really close." Pepper says.
"Exactly." Alexis says as she sighs.
"Do you think she may feel the way you do about her?" Pepper asks.
"She has to. Why else would Penny Ling be acting like she did?" Alexis asks.
"Good question. Maybe you should try talking to Zoe." Pepper says.
"I would if I could find her. It's easier said than done." Alexis says.
"Snack time everyone! I'll be with you in two shakes of a lamb's tail or a fish's tail or whatever kind of tail you have!" Mrs. Twombly shouts from the other room.
"Uh Alexis could you excuse me for a moment?" Pepper asks before she runs off.
"Is everyone acting strange today?" Alexis asks before she shakes her head and walks off.
*Timeskip*
"Sorry to be so late with the treats today sweeties but Minka led me on a merry doorknob chase." Mrs. Twombly says as she comes into the room with Minka and begins passing out treats.
"Well I guess I better get ready to go outside and wait for Kora. Zoe? Where have you been?" Alexis asks as Zoe falls in front of her.
"Oh Alexis I'm sorry. I'm sorry I've been hiding from you." Zoe says embarrassedly.
"Really now? I didn't notice." Alexis says as she chuckles causing Zoe to blush.
"Right. Anyway I've been hiding because well I have a blemish... on my nose. I was just embarrassed." Zoe says as she looks down.
"I know. I found out through Pepper. I just been trying to find out why you were avoiding me for that." Alexis says.
"I'm really sorry about that." Zoe says.
"It's okay. You have a really good friend in Penny Ling for her to help you with it though." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Yes I do. Is that a new collar? It's lovely." Zoe says as she notices Alexis's collar.
"Yes. Kora made it for me. I actually brought you one." Alexis says as she places a purple collar in front of Zoe.
"You did? It's lovely Alexis. Thank you." Zoe says as she smiles.
"I wish we could've spent more time together but my owner's here." Alexis says as she hears Kora outside.
"I wish we could have too." Zoe says.
"But I was also gonna tell you that I liked you too today and was hoping we could do something while I was here but I guess that will be for another time." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Wait. So you like me too?" Zoe asks as she wags her tail.
"Yeah. I kind of figured you felt the same from Penny Ling's actions today. Anyway I gotta go. I'll stop by your apartment tomorrow so we can make up for lost time today." Alexis says as she licks Zoe on the cheek causing her to blush.
"I'd love that." Zoe says happily as Alexis wags her tail.
"Bye Zoe." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Bye Alexis." Zoe says as Alexis leaves the room.
"Yes!" Zoe shouts as Alexis stops before smiling and shaking her head.
"Zoe." Alexis says happily before continuing walking.
