The Palm Woods school is doing The Wizard of Oz at the community center. All the girls want the role of Dorthy cuz she's the star. Unexpectedly Katie is given the role and she's hesitant about it but decides to accept the role after some encouraging words from the guys but drama ensues all week during rehearsals when when a jealous classmate named Chelsea harasses her constantly

1. Chapter 1

*Monday at the Palm Woods School*

Miss Collins: Listen up everyone we're gonna do a play at the community center and the play we're doing is an all time classic. It's The Wizard of Oz! Isn't that so exciting? Try outs for all the characters will be this afternoon at the community center gym. I hope everyone has fun. I know some of you older kids think you shouldn't participate but it's ok. There's a part for all of you. I'm sure you'll find the one that's perfect for you

*Later that afternoon at the community center gym. All the girls are excited to try out for the starring role Dorthy Gale*

This is gonna be chaos "Logan says" All the girls wanna be Dorthy. Only one of them will get the role

That's usually how auditions work "Camille says" I've lost a lot of main roles to girls way more talented than me

Cami to me you're a superstar "Logan says smiling and hugs her"

Thanks but I don't know if I have the right stuff to be Dorthy "Camille says"

Kate you should try out "Carlos says"

I don't know about that "Katie says" I'm not as cool as you guys are. There's a lot girls who want Dorthy

Ok I'll try "Katie says"

Director: Katie Knight you're next. Please step on the white x and say the words on the cue cards

Ok "Katie says" Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore. What would you do with a brain if you had one? Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my! Somewhere over the rainbow, Bluebirds fly. Director: The results of the roles will be listed in about an hour

Kendall: I think you have a chance of being Dorthy

Katie: You really think so?

Kendall: Yeah

*An hour goes by and the audition results are posted on a bulletin board. Everyone gathers around and starts cheering*

What's everyone so happy about? "James asks"

Look at who gets to be Dorthy! "Camille says excitedly"

*James reads the name and gasps*

What's wrong? "Katie says"

You got the part of Dorthy! "James says smiling"

What?! "Katie says surprised and sees her name next to the character's name" Wow that's amazing!
