The Palm Woods school is doing The Wizard of Oz at the community center. All the girls want the role of Dorthy cuz she's the star. Unexpectedly Katie is given the role and she's hesitant about it but decides to accept the role after some encouraging words from the guys but drama ensues all week during rehearsals when when a jealous classmate named Chelsea harasses her constantly

4. Chapter 4

Good now everyone keep rehearsing please "The director says"

*After rehearsal the gang gets ice cream then goes home*

*The following week they start rehearsing in their costumes. The sets are made and painted for all the scenes. The props are delivered and ready to use*

Director: Ok Katie ready to sing Somewhere Over A Rainbow?

Oh no! I forgot I have to sing! The movie is a musical! That's the most important song in the whole film! "Katie says panicking"

Relax you'll be fine "The director says" Here's the song. All you have to do is learn the lines *Gives her the paper*

This will be so much fun. We'll help you learn to sing the song "Carlos says" With our awesome skills you'll be sounding so good Judy Garland herself would be impressed if she was alive

No one is as good as me "Chelsea says" If I sing the song the play will be a success. If she sings it everyone will hate the play

Stop it Chelsea. You don't even know what Katie sounds like. She deserves a chance to sing the song. Focus on your own character and not hers "Logan says annoyed"

*Chelsea stays quiet after that and goes back to reading her lines*

Thanks Logan "Katie says and hugs him" but I can't rehearse it here. Not with her around. We have to do this at Rocque Records

*When rehearsal is over they go to Rocque Records. Gustavo isn't on board with the idea*

Go home and sing the song "He says"

I can't. I have to do it here. This is the right environment "Katie says" Please

Go home. You'll probably be terrible "Gustavo says"

Hey! "Kendall says angrily" You took a chance on us! You went all the way to Minnesota to find your next success music story and you did. You took the four of us. Four high school hockey players who have never been inside a music studio and only in a hockey rink to come to sunny Los Angelas to an awesome apartment paradise with an amazing pool. What I'm saying is you didn't just take us from our home. She came with us too. Maybe music talent runs in my family. Just give her a chance. You can help her. This role as Dorthy in the play is really really important to her

Oh fine. Get in the booth "Gustavo says"

*Katie does that and looks at the sheet music. She starts singing the first lines and is way off key*

Stop, stop, stop! "Gustavo says" What was that?!

Go easy on her. She's nervous "James says"

Try it again. This time just relax "Gustavo says and restarts the music"

*Katie resumes singing but sounds exactly the same*

STOP! "Gustavo says getting frustrated"
