This is a follow up story to a previous oneshot I did called 'Starry Night'. I've wanted to do one for a while now to give a bit of closure to that storyline, you know. If you haven't read that already, Just know that you don't have to read that story to enjoy this one, but it could definitely give you a little bit of background.

Enjoy!

"Wake up, lazy bones. Come on, Wak. wake up."

Wakko, who had been sound asleep, opened his eyes suddenly as his older brother, Yakko, urged him to wake up.

Still half asleep, he asked: "What do you want, Yakko?"

"The sunrise, remember?" Yakko looked surprised. "You still wanna see it, right?"

"The sunrise?" He had forgotten all about that. "Sure, that would be nice."

His older brother smiled. "Good. Get yourself up then and I'll meet you outside. I have the challenge of waking up your sister."

"Ok," he agreed.

Still feeling sleepy but wanting to get up anyway, Wakko found the energy to pull himself out from under the covers. He stretched his arms out, yawning loudly. And after rubbing his eyes to wake his face up, Wakko climbed down the ladder. He was still dressed in his evening attire: A baggy gray shirt with a picture of LA on it that used to belong to Yakko. He figured he would put on his iconic blue sweater after he watched the sunrise.

Walking through the tower, Wakko noticed how dark the tower was at this hour. With no lights on, it made the tower look as dark as night. What's worse, there were no windows in the tower, so no light from the outside world could seep its way in. But Wakko knew his way around the tower by heart, so he had no trouble navigating his way around it, light or dark. And this isn't his first rodeo. On many occasions, he's woken up in the middle of the night to grab a midnight snack to eat in his bed. If he can find the fridge in the dark, he can surely find the front door.

As he walked aimlessly through the dark, he eventually found where the tower door was when he slammed into the wall by accident. Wakko turned the handle of the abnormally large door. The door creaked open loudly; it could really use some oil. A gust of morning air hit him when he finally opened the door all the way. Stepping out onto the balcony, Wakko looked up at the morning sky. The sky was coated in a gorgeous orange tint. The clouds were a reddish pink color, and he noticed a glimpse of light peeking out behind the mountains. It was typical early morning conditions, but Wakko found it to be incredible.

The early morning air quickly woke him up, his fur bristled as a cool breeze hit him. Wakko found a good spot on the balcony and rested his arm on the edge, taking in the beautiful atmosphere that was early dawn.

His enjoyment was then rudely by the pattering of feet approaching him. Turning his head, Wakko saw his sleepy brother and sister walking towards him.

"What's this sunrise you're talking about?" Dot yawned.

Wakko smiled. "Isn't this beautiful, sis? Early dawn. Everything about it is just beautiful. Just look."

Yakko and Dot scooted up next to him to get a look at the scenery themselves. Wakko glanced at both his siblings and grinned. They seemed to be appreciating it just as much as he was.

"I gotta admit it, Wakko. Your idea of waking up early to watch the sunrise was a real good one," Yakko told him.

"Yeah," Dot chimed in, "It's beautiful out here."

Wakko beamed, his tail wagging with excitement.

"Thanks, guys," he told them. "It really is beautiful out here."

Yakko nodded his head in agreement. The trio then turned their heads toward the mountainscape, gazing up at it with awe. The mountains were massive in size, they were the attraction of the city. Just on the other side was Los Angeles, where the ever iconic Hollywood sign was located. He and his siblings had been to L.A on multiple occasions. It's more or less the same as Burbank: a busy city. But that's not what mattered at the moment. The three of them were taking in the natural beauty of California's landscape.

They're eyes lit up when the sun rose above the mountain. Its warm, nourishing glow spread throughout the city. Wakko took it all in, letting the sun's warmth soak into him.

" Here comes the sun," Yakko sang, nudging his arm.

Wakko smiled, understanding the reference. He's a Beatles fan, and he's listened to that song more times than he can count.

" Here comes the sun," he chimed in with his best singing voice. " And I gotta say it's alright."

Yakko clapped his hands. "I knew you understood what I meant."

"Man, that felt good," Wakko told himself.

Wakko put his arms around his brother and sister.

"You guys are the best," he told them. "Thanks for waking up early to do this with me."

"Don't mention it," Dot replied with a smile.

"Anything for you, sib," Yakko told him.

The siblings glanced back at the sunrise. Wakko squinted his eyes, the bright light blinding him. He looked down at the lot below him. He could see executives, employees, actors and actresses start to enter the lot for their busy day. Wakko was feeling pure bliss at that moment. This was just what he needed to feel ready for another great day.

The growls of his stomach snapped him back to reality. It was then when he remembered that he hadn't eaten breakfast yet. Wakko put his hands on his tummy, feeling it grumble angrily inside.

"Um, Yakko?" Wakko asked his older brother. "Can we eat breakfast now? I'm starving.

Yakko chuckled. "Oh, of course sib. How 'bout we make a nice breakfast today. Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns."

Wakko's tummy growled louder just thinking about those foods.

"That would be amazing," Wakko gruntled.

So with that, Wakko and his siblings made their way back into the tower for a rousing breakfast, much to Wakko's pleasure. It was at that moment where he realized just how good he had it.

I have the best siblings a boy can ask for, Wakko thought with gratitude. One of these days, I need to tell them just how thankful I am that they're in my life.

But perhaps he didn't have to. Wakko had a feeling that his siblings already knew how he felt about them. His actions speak for that.
