Author's Note: Here's chapter 2 of You Should Stay Away From Me.

It turns out that Lizzie isn't that great at setting boundaries and Hope has never been one for following the rules.

Once again, I own nothing, all rights go to their respective owners

Chapter 2

I Don't Take Rejection Well

It had been months since Lizzie had run into Hope Mikaelson in that alley and true to her word, Hope had stayed away but Lizzie couldn't stop thinking about that night; how Hope had held her, made her submit to her with just a few whispered words.

Ok, so nothing had happened but it could of. Lizzie was ready to lose herself to Hope but just not in the way that Hope had offered. It probably would have gone that way sooner or later but Lizzie wasn't prepared to give up her life as it was for one night in the sack with Hope Mikaelson, even though Lizzie knew without a doubt that it would be so worth it.

Lizzie sighed as she looked around her room.

She'd been trying to read to take her mind off things but it wasn't working.

Rolling onto her back, Lizzie closed her eyes and took a few deep calming breaths but every time she breathed in, she saw Hope.

Hope's face, Hope's eyes, her lips, her fangs...everything.

She moved a hand to her neck and felt Hope's lips. When she moved that hand down, it was Hope's touch she felt and not her own.

Ohh she had it bad.

Biting her lip, Lizzie moved her hand lower still, into the waistband of her pants.

Hope.

"Still thinking about me?"

Lizzie jumped and snatched her hand back as the tribrid appeared on the bed beside her.

She rolled and almost fell off the bed as Hope just watched; one hand propping up her head as she lay on her side.

"What the hell?! How did you get in here?!" Lizzie screeched, beyond mortified that Hope had caught her in this compromising position.

Hope looked Lizzie up and down as the witch dusted herself off.

"Oh I'm not really here, Lizzie. This is all you."

Lizzie frowned.

"All me?"

Hope nodded.

"I am buried so deep in that brain of yours' that you manifested me into something as close to real as you could get."

Lizzie looked at Hope and realised that something wasn't quite right.

"Why are you dressed like...?"

Hope looked down at herself; at the tight black leather pants and top that was way too tight and cut way too low to reveal more than Hope Mikaelson ever would, even without her humanity. High heeled shoes instead boots adorned her feet and her long dark hair was left loose, giving her a wild look.

"Like this? Again, all you."

Hope frowned as she looked at Lizzie again.

"So you imagine me kinda slutty huh?"

Lizzie's cheeks reddened and Hope chuckled as she climbed off the bed and walked around it to stand in front of Lizzie.

"You're cute when you're embarrassed."

Lizzie swallowed as Hope closed the gap between them.

"You really want this, don't you?"

Lizzie nodded without realising what she was doing.

Hope moved closer.

"You want me..." She said in awe which Hope would not. Hope knew Lizzie wanted her and she wasn't shy about letting the witch know it. In fact, she revelled in it.

"Kiss me." Hope breathed.

Lizzie moved forward and closed her eyes but she stumbled and just managed to catch herself before she fell into the bedside table.

When she spun around, Hope was gone.

Lizzie groaned as she sat down heavily on the edge of her bed.

"I can't do this." She whispered to herself, shaking her head.

She wanted Hope. She needed her. Yes, she had told her to stay away but Lizzie's resolve was weakening and Lizzie knew that until she had Hope she wouldn't be able to sort out this mess in her head that made the witch have feelings for the tribrid in the first place.

Grabbing her boots, Lizzie slipped them on and grabbed a jacket before leaving the Salvatore school and heading into the woods.

She didn't even know if Hope was still in the same country let alone the same area but she had to try.

It was dark and Lizzie looked up at the full moon.

It really did make people crazy.

Lizzie had decided that after her night with Hope, it would be wise to bring her powers back and she was thankful she had as summoning a ball of light into her hand was really no problem at all.

The deeper Lizzie went into the forest, the more she felt the temperature drop or maybe that was just her, she couldn't be sure.

The trees seemed to close in around her as Lizzie slowed her pace, realising that running straight into the deep dark woods was probably not the best decision she'd ever had.

Lizzie stopped and looked around.

A twig snapping made her spin and come face to face with the biggest wolf she'd ever seen. It's black fur was slightly matted but there was no mistaking the hunger in it's golden eyes.

It advanced on her, teeth bared.

Lizzie held up her hands.

"Ohh no..." Lizzie whispered to herself.

She knew all the werewolves around Mystic falls but this one...this wasn't one of them, which meant it was an outsider. A lone wolf and everyone knew that a lone wolf was a very dangerous animal.

Lizzie stepped back, glancing around for a weapon, knowing that by the time she used her magic, the wolf could very well lunge at her.

The black wolf moved forward, dipping it's head low and growling at her.

If only Lizzie had stayed in her room and fantasied about Hope in the normal way instead of running out here into the woods to find her, then at least she'd be safe and maybe a little satisfied instead of alone, scared and definitely not satisfied in the slightest.

"Me and my damn libido." Lizzie whispered to herself as she continued to back up.

The wolf then turned and Lizzie knew it was going to try and circle her.

This was it.

She was dead.

No one was coming to save her.

No one even knew where she was and she was about to be werewolf food in about five seconds from now.

What a way to go, she thought with a little disappointment and a whole lot of fear.

But before Lizzie could take another step, a white wolf knocked into the black wolf, sending it sprawling to the forest floor.

It yelped in surprise and got up but the white wolf was quicker and had pounced on it, snapping at the lone wolf's face in warning.

The black wolf started to shift beneath the white wolf's paws until it became a man that Lizzie didn't recognize; as she knew she wouldn't.

The white wolf also shifted and Hope stood above the man, her boot on his chest.

The man looked fearfully up at the tribrid and held his hands up in surrender.

"I-I'm sorry I thought she-"

"She's mine." Hope snarled down at him.

The man nodded and swallowed, close to tears.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know I-I just thought she was just some-"

Hope kicked him and he rolled further away from her.

"Leave!" She roared.

He scrambled to his feet and ran deeper into the forest.

Hope turned and looked at Lizzie, her arms folded.

Thankfully, Hope's new tribrid powers meant that when she shifted back from her wolf form, she was still fully clothed; Lizzie didn't know if she could contain herself if Hope was standing in front of her completely naked.

Lizzie stared at the tribrid.

"You saved me." She said with a bright smile on her face.

Hope didn't return it.

"Don't look too much into it. He's on my turf."

Lizzie's smile dropped.

"I thought you were going to-"

"Stay away? I was. It's you that came to find me." Hope counteracted.

Lizzie rolled her eyes.

"Yeah I suppose that's fair." She muttered.

Hope straightened and looked at the witch.

"So. Why did you come looking for me?"

Lizzie scratched the back of her neck and tried to play it cool.

"Oh y'know I was out for a walk and thought I'd check in on you...see how you were."

Hope arched an eyebrow at her.

"You just thought you'd take a late night walk into the forest on a full moon...Yeah I'm not buying that." She said with a shake of her head.

Lizzie sighed and then folded her arms, ducking her head shyly.

"Well if I told you why I was really out there, I think I'd die from embarrassment."

Hope grinned and moved towards Lizzie, just like she'd done that night in the alley.

Hope breathed in Lizzie's scent and the witch could've sworn that she saw the tribrid's pupils dilate.

"Oh, I get it."

Lizzie blinked.

"You do?"

Hope nodded. Of course she did. That tribrid nose of her's could pick up on anything.

Hope eyed Lizzie hungrily.

"So what do you want to do about it?"

Lizzie's mouth opened and shut and then opened again.

"I uh...well if you-"

"If I what?"

Lizzie realised that Hope had walked her back into a tree. The rough bark was digging into her back through her jacket but Hope was so close Lizzie didn't want to move.

Hope's gaze travelled up and down Lizzie's body and a frown caused a small line between her brows.

"What is it about you?" She said more to herself than to Lizzie.

"Wha-"

"Don't answer." Hope cut in.

Lizzie swallowed and licked her lips.

"I-I asked you to stay away..."

"And I did. You were the one who came looking for me, Lizzie. I was true to my word but you...oh you can't, can you?"

"Hope. One of us has to be strong here and since it's clear that that someone isn't me, it has to be you."

Hope grinned, showing a hint of fang and dammit if that didn't make Lizzie's spine tingle in the most delicious way.

"And why would I want that?"

"Because you don't want me..." Lizzie chuckled nervously.

"Don't I?" Hope asked, her gaze locking with Lizzie's and making the witch freeze where she stood.

"D-do you?"

Hope toyed with the zip on Lizzie's jacket, moving it up and down until finally she decided she liked it unzipped anyway.

Hope placed a hand on Lizzie's chest, feeling her heart racing.

"I don't understand why you're making this so complicated, Lizzie. You want me and I'm willing to help scratch that...itch of yours', so what's the problem?"

Lizzie's voice shook as she answered.

"Well in case you haven't noticed, you're evil now, Hope!"

Hope shrugged.

"So?"

Lizzie stared at her in utter bewilderment.

"So? I can't make love with an evil person!"

Hope laughed then.

"Make love? Oh honey, it's not love. It's just sex. There's a difference."

Lizzie hated how unfeeling that sounded and it surprised her that she even cared.

Yes, she wanted Hope but did she love her? Was that why it hurt Lizzie so much when Hope reduced Lizzie's wants to nothing but purely physical?

Maybe this was more complicated than Lizzie had originally thought.

Lizzie was snapped out of her thoughts when Hope suddenly licked a long wet line up Lizzie's neck.

"So what's it gonna be?" Hope whispered against her neck.

Lizzie closed her eyes, savouring the feeling of Hope's lips on her neck, leaving open mouthed kisses along the sensitive flesh.

"I-I can't."

Lizzie's felt Hope's lips curl into a snarl and she stayed perfectly still.

She was almost ninety-five percent sure that Hope wouldn't kill her but why take the risk?

I can't do this with you." Lizzie said, keeping her tone level.

Hope moved back to look up at Lizzie and licked her lips.

"That's a shame. I was looking forward to seeing what a witch does when she's in the throes of passion. Especially one as unrestrained as you."

Lizzie's cheeks burned at that and Hope bit back a grin.

"I've been thinking about you too, Lizzie."

Lizzie swallowed.

"You have?"

"Hm hm. I've been thinking about what it would be like to have you under me. How you would beg me to do things to you that would make even the dark side of your sister blush."

Lizzie wrinkled her nose.

"Please don't talk about Josie right now."

Hope chuckled.

"Ok fine but seriously, I think you're making a mistake by walking away from this. I think the two of us could have some real fun together."

Lizzie looked into Hope's eyes; eyes that promised everything Lizzie could ever want from the tribrid.

Was she making a mistake? Should she go through with this, with Hope?

Hope's eyes softened and for just a second, Lizzie saw the girl that had been so caring and protective before everything had happened; before Hope had decided to protect herself from the pain.

No. She couldn't do this. Not with this Hope anyway.

But then that gave Lizzie an idea;

"Turn your humanity back on."

Hope gave her an amused frown.

"What?"

"Turn your humanity back on and I'll sleep with you."

"You're the one who wants to sleep with me, Lizzie. I've been thinking about you, I won't deny that but if you won't do it, I can easily find someone who will."

Lizzie faltered and Hope gave her a mock pout.

"Aww, don't look at me like that. I was willing to give you everything you wanted. I might be all you want, Lizzie but you...you're one of many to me."

Lizzie tried to ignore the way those words cut deep into her. She didn't realise that Hope would be so cruel, so callous as to treat her feelings as though they were nothing but then she had to keep reminding herself that this Hope had no humanity. She didn't care. She didn't love. She didn't want to and she wasn't capable of it.

Now the Hope she used to know, before Landon, before all the grief and pain; that was the Hope who could love and maybe one day she'd come back but right now, this Hope that stood in front of her was a bitch and Lizzie had to remember that.

Lizzie raised her chin.

"I meant what I said before, Hope. Stay away from me."

"I did." Hope shot back without missing a beat.

Lizzie's jaw clenched.

"Fine. This was my fault but it won't be happening again. I won't ever come looking for you again."

Lizzie barged past Hope but the tribrid reached out and grabbed the witch's wrist, spinning her back into Hope.

"A little something until we see each other again." Hope breathed before she crashed their lips together. Lizzie began pushing away but Hope's lips were so soft and she was so gentle, Lizzie melted into it. The blonde's hands came up to rest on Hope's shoulders as Hope moaned against Lizzie's lips, her tongue demanding entrance.

Lizzie let her and then wished she hadn't. Now she knew that she really would be seeking Hope Mikaelson out again. The tribrid had this way about her; she was so cold and so guarded now without her humanity but she radiated power and sensuality and Lizzie was so attracted to it that she couldn't control herself.

Lizzie also kissed Hope back with such fierceness and urgency that it had Hope growling and clutching at Lizzie, digging her nails into the blonde's sides.

Lizzie ripped her mouth from Hope's.

"I want you."

"I know."

They were both breathing hard but neither let the other one go.

"And I was wrong."

Hope just looked at Lizzie waiting for what she knew would come next.

"Take me. Here. Now."

Hope pushed Lizzie back against the tree with a grin.

"So needy." She whispered.

"Shut up..." Lizzie moaned.

They both kissed again, this time it was hard and desperate.

"You know, Lizzie..." Hope began as she pulled back slightly, their lips only an inch apart,

"What?" Lizzie groaned.

She didn't want Hope to keep talking, she wanted to feel every inch of the tribrid that she could and she wanted Hope to feel her too.

"I knew you would eventually beg me for this."

Lizzie rolled her eyes and Hope moved in, pressing her lips to Lizzie's neck again; something she found drove the witch crazy.

"I know that when my hand slides down your body," And to prove a point, Hope's hand did exactly that, gliding under Lizzie's top and down her taut stomach towards the waistband of her pants,

"how you shiver because you know what's coming."

Hope pushed her hand further down and grinned when she felt how wet Lizzie had become.

"So ready for me too." She breathed, flicking her tongue out against Lizzie's pulse point.

"Hope, please." Lizzie whined.

Hope moved her hand, making Lizzie jolt into her touch.

"It wouldn't take much, would it?"

Lizzie shook her head.

"You're already on the edge. You just need that little...push." Hope whispered and Lizzie bit her lip, nodding her head.

"Hope..."

"Beg me." Hope snarled.

"Hope. I am begging you. Please, I need it- I need you."

Hope let out a satisfied hum as she moved her hand again but it wasn't enough and Lizzie moving her hips to try and get Hope to do something other than just move her hand every now and again, didn't seem to be getting things any closer to where they needed to be.

"Tell me you want this."

"I want this. Please, Hope, I want this'."

Hope chuckled darkly and then let out a breath against the blonde's neck.

"Too bad." Hope said as she abruptly pulled her hand out and moved away from Lizzie.

Lizzie stared at Hope open mouthed as the tribrid stood there, smirking at the witch.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Lizzie roared.

Hope wiped her fingers on her pants and sighed.

"You know your problem, Lizzie? You never learn."

Lizzie couldn't believe that she had been so very close and Hope had just left her there; unsatisfied, uncomfortable and now very pissed off.

"I already offered this to you once and I don't take rejection well." Hope said, narrowing her eyes slightly but that smug look was still there.

Lizzie blinked.

"You did this because I said no to you before?"

Hope nodded.

"Think of it this way, it'll teach you to seize opportunities when they come your way because look what happens when you don't." Hope replied with a shrug.

Lizzie stared at the tribrid and instantly decided that she hated her.

"You were never going to go through with this tonight, were you?"

Hope shook her head.

"No. I would've if you'd taken me up on my offer the first time but you didn't."

Hope then turned her back and began walking away.

"So you're just gonna leave me here?!" Lizzie shouted after her.

Hope turned back and shrugged.

"Pretty much."

"What am I supposed to do now?!"

Hope pointed down at Lizzie.

"To take care of that? Do what you used to do when I was right down the hall from you and you were to ashamed to admit you wanted me even back then."

Lizzie rubbed her arms.

Hope couldn't have known about that. Could she?

Hope smirked.

"Have a good night, Lizzie. Dream of me."

Lizzie glared at Hope's back as the tribrid was swallowed up by the darkness of the forest.

"Son of a bitch!"
