It was now evening and Akihito had just finished editing some photos. He opened the penthouse door as soon as he heard the doorbell ring. It must have been the dinner he had ordered for himself. As always, the two bodyguards were standing by the door to make sure no one violated the area.

Akihito took the dinner to the kitchen and smiled seeing all that good food. He felt a little lonely in that large space. Maybe if I ask the kids to eat dinner like me, they would accept. They too need to feed themselves after all. And with that thought, the boy headed towards the entrance and when he learned the door he smiled at the two bodyguards.

- "I was wondering if you guys would like to join me for dinner."- he said with a sincere smile and with embarrassment added - "I think I ordered too much sushi for one person. The two men looked at each other and nodded. After all, they couldn't say no to their young boss. As soon as they stepped inside the penthouse and headed for the kitchen, Eichi exclaimed: -"Thank you for the invitation Takaba-sama." - "Thank you. At least I won't be dining alone. It would be too boring and then at least we'll get to know each other a little better since I think we'll be spending a lot of time together."- he said while preparing the kitchen table for three people.

As soon as everything was ready the two guards and Akihito sat down. Eichi and Isao had taken off their ties, which were neatly placed in their trouser pockets, and the black jacket was carefully placed on the chair. The two men waited for the young man to start dinner. Akihito joining hands, exclaimed: - "Itadakimasu!"- and began to eat. The other two followed suit. It was strange for them to dine with the boss alone and they felt a bit awkward but as always the young man managed to make the atmosphere relaxed and friendly.

The dinner was going quietly when Isao decided to speak: - "Takaba-sama I wanted to ask you something."- he said it as if he felt embarrassed. Akihito looked at him, smiled and gave him the sign to go on talking - "I wanted to ask you if you would like to teach us some stunts you did this morning."-. The boy's vault lit up. - "Of course I'd love to," he exclaimed enthusiastically, "also because I plan to go running whenever I have free time in the morning or evening, if that's okay with you."- he said, looking at his guests. - "As Takaba-sama wishes and then for us this would be like a training session since just today we have had the confirmation that we are not at his level in running. Akihito laughed at that statement and after swallowing a piece of sushi, he spoke: - "That's not true. Both of you are good and I can never get you off my back, which is frustrating."- the blond admitted and then added - "but you're not so insufferable, I admit it."- and gave him a sincere smile. Both guards smiled. Takaba was the best boss anyone could have. It's true that they worked under Asami but being the young lover's personal guards was stressful but fun at the same time.

At first the young man always ran away and they had to find him, wandering all over the city, but then the boy slowly got used to their presence. Not that he was excited about it now, but at least he wasn't running away from them every time. The boy proved to be a really nice person. He was brash because he was the only one who had the courage to call the king of the Japanese underworld, a bastard, arrogant, conceited man. He was rebellious because whenever he had to do something dangerous and reckless, he would run away from the bodyguards and only let them find him if he wanted to be found.

But the more time they spent with the boy, the more they became attached to him. They wanted to protect him not only because it was their job but because they felt it was the right thing to do. Takaba was precious, he would brighten your day with his cheerfulness. And if anything happened to him not only would the attackers pay with death but also their heads would not be able to escape from the anger of the leader Asami-sama.

Dinner ended quietly and the two men decided to return to their seats outside the penthouse and leave the brat quiet for the night. At least he seems to be well again. They smiled briefly as they thought that Akihito was entering, slowly, into their souls with his simplicity.

As soon as the boys were out, Akihito set up the kitchen and then decided to go get an old album and reminisce about the old days. He settled on the terrace since the night was not cold at all. The air was mild and since he was on top of one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo, he could see the stars that were not covered by the smog of the city.

He picked up a photo of him and his two best friends, Kou and Takato. It had been taken when they were about 15 years old and it was one of those days when they had gone to the motocross tracks. Such a good time. I miss being in the saddle. God, what an adrenaline rush when I would turn on the engine and whizz around. Why did I stop? A yeah right, Asami wouldn't approve.

He sighed. He looked up and for the first time since meeting Asami, he thought about what being with a yakuza had entailed. He didn't know why right now he was thinking about the life he had before he met the older man either, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized that he had begun to put aside many of his passions and hobbies.

He reflects on the fact that she used to act on instinct and if he had an idea or wanted to try something, he would just do it. But now, most of the time he had to ask permission from the man he shared the attic with and felt a feeling of pressure in her chest. Better not think about that now. It's normal sometimes to feel nostalgic, right? But is it nostalgia I'm feeling? Akihito shook his head, put the album away and turned off all the lights. He had already thought too much for today.

As he stretched out in the king size bed, a smile appeared on his face as he thought back to the morning, when he had felt serene and free more than ever. He couldn't help but think that he had done really well in choosing to go for a run. I can't wait to do it again. And with that thought, he fell asleep.

Asami had just finished reviewing the latest files. Now he had dinner and then he could finally deal with a pest who had dared to challenge him, robbing him. When he was done with him as well, he could finally go home.

I can't wait to see you Akihito. Sleep while you can. With that thought, he got up and together with Kirishima and Suoh, headed to an expensive and fancy restaurant for a stupid business dinner. If it were up to him he would have given up but being a man of his word, he kept his promise.
