"I see a bad moon rising."

"Well? Get back to work."

The two most crucial factors that would ensure the machine race became the true saviors of Earth were their extensive knowledge of astrophysics and Kozuki's ass. And rest assured, there wasn't much left of the insulting, repulsing, bouncing rebellion fighter other than some smooth rear edges once she was foiled by rapid brain dissolving action.
She was a clump of organic components in the bottom of a Bio-Abator's reclamation tank. One minute, flipping through the air and laying waste to countless valuable robots with her EF blaster. The next minute, sealed up in a chemical aquarium and instantly categorized as salvage junk. Demise always came quick for the frail carbon-based vermin who used to infest the planet.
Once Casshern's loathsome rabbit was immobilized in the cage, it was just an easy matter of getting her out of her rubbery combat suit so she'd be more conductive in the Bio-Abator's circuitry. The legless, sleeveless leotard didn't conceal much of her anatomy to begin with, and it really only needed slight modifications for the procedure, but there was no reason to preserve it when every inch of her biological makeup was about to be atomized.
Luna was getting the works so she'd leave the tank in full working order. The inside of her head was being hollowed out to free up the space for electronic processors. The syringe implanted in her heart regulated her blood pressure to near-death and lowered her body temperature to icy levels. Self-replicating nanobots swarmed through her circulatory system while a tangled network of IV tubes and pneumatic pulleys digested her now-obsolete digestive system. With varying grades of severity, all her guts were disintegrated from existence, dried into leather jerky, and (in the case of her ovaries) transmuted into solid lifeless chrome weights to prevent the creation of more threats to Earth's ecosystem. Her physiology was stumbling in an unrecognizable state that shared the traits of a mummified human and a cybernetic fish. If she still had any kind of awareness, the only thing her senses would have perceived was an endless nightmare of white noise.
The rabbit casserole was ready a few minutes later.
The revised lifeform that emerged from the Abator's bulky fuselage was carbon-free and compassion-free. She had a mostly pale blue complexion, with a body made of zero-pollutant alloy that replaced her porous, sweating, bacteria-fostering skin. Her torso panels were covered in transparent radar-resistant polyurethane like a thin one-piece swimsuit. The triangular emblem of the robot army stretched over the front of her chest, which was now molded in hardened metal curves to correct the excessive bouncing it used to suffer from when it was made of organic materials. An x-ray scan would reveal her whole skeleton had been restructured out of an artificial black metal known as nihilinium.
Her most intimidating feature was her integrated support unit. The faded gunmetal structure curled over her head in an iron umbrella and hung off her back in a massive array of cable arms and rocket thrusters, arranged like a fusion of metal hair and spinal extensions. The equipment's massive size made it seem like she would topple over at any moment, but superior Neoroid engineering kept the equipment upright without putting excessive stress on her slender humanoid frame.
Her auxiliary features were 300% heavier than her main body and 50% longer when they were fully unraveled. The prehensile cables were powerful enough that she could position them under her legs and completely stand on their tips while her nimble razor-clawed feet dangled thirty inches off the ground. Her exotic blue coloring combined with her startling combat accessories gave her the appearance of a mythological siren who'd just taken a dip in a neutron reactor and became best friends with an electrified barnacle colony.
Her optic shutters blinked with silver fiberoptic lashes. Her toe-claws curled into the dirt as she flexed the tiny hydraulic joints in her fingers. The grin on her face said her Neoroid programming was quite comfortable inside its new chassis. She was Luna after shedding her carbon-based origins and exchanging for a new physical form made entirely of silicon.
In those dark days, the only real threat that remained in the robot army's path of conquest was Casshern: A half-man, half-machine construct that combined the best aspects of both races. The Neoroids had produced their own crude equivalent to Casshern using his past human lover as a basis: Remelein.
The Bio-Abator's bass synthesizers boomed in emulated speech behind her.
[[ Giga-Munculon 0632, report to depot Z449 for post-assembly inspection. ]]
The machine-woman's eye lenses flickered from CRT green to warning sign orange as she turned her head inside her armored canopy.
[[ Hmm hmm. Shouldn't I go hunting for awful humans first? Give the new hardware a little whirl? ]] Her husky alto synthesizers chuckled in response. It was the closest she'd ever get to her original human voice.
[[ Your operation parameters will be assigned once your reliability has been measured. Standard procedure for all Organic Repo Units, ]] The Abator said in emotionless rumbling static.
The smaller robot's mouth servos slanted into an unhappy scowl as her spine-tendrils sagged in disappointment. Even her rounded posterior fenders seemed to lose some of their shine.
[[ Hm. So that's how it is being a Neoroid. We provisional cogs are lower than Janitor Drones to you. Doesn't seem like much of an improvement over the carbon pests you're supposed to be replacing. ]]
[[ You're simply debris from the old world we were barely able to recycle. Your ability to cause further pollution has been mitigated so you're no longer a danger to the planet. However, your usefulness has yet to be determined, ]] the Abator stated in a loud, flat tone.
A metallic sigh escaped Remelein's ventilators. Her pale blue shoulders and the massive black sub-arms above her neck shrugged in synchronized unison.
[[ If that's what Our Lord BK1 insists. I suppose I'll feel better once I get my struts adjusted. ]] Her flailing backpack curled in a small curtsy as her smirk returned.
Author's note: Yep, we're weird again.
Author's note 2: This one was inspired by "Weird Red-Eyed Alien Pilot Girl Wearing a Squid Mecha" (that's what I'm calling her) by 1021tonii (available on Danbooru, it's post #1157570). And also the Abyssal Fleet from that game where all the waifus are anthropomorphized versions of historic WWII battleships.
Author's note 3: Her octo-dreadlocks show how she's a less "refined" version of Tetsuya's heroic robo-form and it symbolizes her more monstrous hybrid nature. Or something. Idk.
Author's note 4: Her support equipment is not optional. It doesn't separate from the rest of her body unless it's an extreme emergency. It's not interchangeable with other Striker Packs. There's probably some design parallel in there where you can say she's supposed to be Casshern and Friender combined into a single unit.
Author's note 5: She's not light bluish-green to emphasize her sea monster motif. That's just the color of her electrolytes.
Author's note 6: It took me two hours to draft this fanfic. I then spent like three hours struggling to come up with a clever name for Luna's evil resurrected robo-form. I was kicking around "Lusheen" (pronounced Loo-sheen), "Crusheen," "Culleen," "Pulsheen" (or "Pulseen"), "Torqueen," and "Voltreen"/"Voltrine" for a while (I didn't notice it's way too close to "Voltron" until I thought about it). Basically a name with the same rhythm as Casshern / Casshan but makes the second syllable sound more girly. I'm still not completely sure about "Remelein" (it's a portmanteau of "Remedy" and "Fraulein"). Might change it later.
Author's note 7: Giving her the ol' Slaughter & Shieldmaidens Chapter 4 Akane Soir Special.
Author's note 8: *quivers toward u like Biollante's second form*
Author's note 9: Kite is a pretty cool Yasuomi Umetsu movie. I'd recommend only watching the International version, though.
Author's note 10: If Casshan is Mega Man, does that mean Luna is Roll?
Author's note 11: If Casshan is Shaider, does that mean Luna is the chick in the blue bodysuit with the laser gun?
Author's note 12: If Casshan is Hot Rod, does that mean Luna is Arcee?
