Afternoon
Summer vacation was over, back to the routine of getting up early, being sleepy most of the morning, after the athletic club I decided to stop by the Velvet Room to see if I could find someone new, what surprised me was that I really met someone new.
She had long silver hair with a black streak, golden eyes, and white skin. Her attire is mostly Japanese ceremonial attire made up of a white ceremonial kimono that is open to reveal a leather belt and a black sleeveless blouse (with a considerably large front, almost like a pair of melons), along with her leather belt had a yellow scarf and on her legs, she wore long black socks that extend almost to the end of her leg, in her hands was a spear that she held in a relaxed manner while looking at me with a calm smile.
"Interesting, a unique place you have here," said the girl who surrounded me and inspected me from top to bottom
"Are…?"
"Right, introductions, my name is Athena, goddess of civilization, wisdom, strategy, arts, and justice, there are others but those are the most important. And what's your name boy?" The one now identified as Athena replied.
"My name is Tyron Miller, regular resident of the Velvet Room"
"And how did you get this place?"
"Well... I woke up here and things happened. Why?"
"This place does not exist physically, and it seems to border the limit between realities, you are not a human from Tenkai, or from any of the worlds where my sphere of influence is centered, and yet I feel in you a familiar presence... almost like a cat…"
She looked at me, still smiling and full of expectations, there was no point trying to play dumb seeing that she had already found out most of the things, although I must admit that it was a surprise that she even managed to realize how the representation of the legend of Atalanta resided in me, with a sigh I let Atalanta's form appear above me before joining me, giving me those cat ears again.
"Impressive, you use yourself as a means to technically revive Atalanta, you get most of her experience in that form, even your body adapts to be able to use that experience, the only limitation is you and how much you can use that skill of consecutively"
"Did you find out all that just by looking at me?"
"While I am here it seems that it can be considered within my sphere of influence, but outside the mortal world therefore I can use my domain to analyze you, if it were to happen to your world that is considered outside of this sphere then my domain could not be used so effectively, leaving me in a state similar to when I'm in Tenkai."
I blinked a few times, that was quite a bit of information, I couldn't underestimate a literal goddess, she happily ran her hand over my shoulder and with the other one played a little with my cat ears until I returned to my normal form, to which she pouted a little before smiling again as she let go of me
"You're quite interesting. I like you!" said Athena
"Thank you?"
"That said, would you like to join my family!"
"A bit of context, a different world, remember?"
"Right, sorry, I went down to the Tenkai like other gods so I could start a family giving them my blessing using the Falna to explore the dungeon and become great adventurers, what do you say? Are you interested in joining my family?" she held out her hand to me with hope
It took me a while to remember, but I think this Athena girl must be part of the Danmachi anime/novel, that anime that follows the adventures of Bell Cranel and his goddess Hestia... who I think is something like Athena's sister that is in front of me, although I don't think any of the media appeared.
"Although I'm not against the idea, I don't think it's a good idea, I have a lot on my plate right now and maybe it's better to search with the humans of your world, I'm sure there are several who are interested"
"You're right that there are several adventurers interested in my blessing... but I haven't really found anyone who fits what I had in mind, I was even thinking of giving up and putting up a library, it was just that I found this door where I wanted to settle." He said looking defeated.
"In that case, why me?"
"Honestly, I just think you have that spark in you, I don't have the power to see the soul like some other gods, but there is something in you, something that makes clip"
"And the library has nothing to do with it?"
"It is one more attraction, but even without that I would like you to join my family, I do not need fame or fortune, only children with whom I feel comfortable and who align well with my domains"
I just looked at her, I could almost see her glowing with anticipation, so I just gave in, "Fine" I replied and she immediately started jumping happily before stopping and turning to look at me.
"Good! Now take off your shirt!"
"I thought you were a virgin maiden" she answered reflexively
"It's not for that! I have to place the Falna directly on your back!"
Giggling a little under my breath, I began to remove the top of my uniform, leaving me naked from the waist up. Athena's gaze immediately went to the large scar that ran across my chest, her hands were surprisingly delicate and traced the scar. outline of it, from top to bottom, then he went on to run his hands over my abs, I could almost swear drool was coming out of his mouth.
"Athena…" I cut her off when her face was already too close.
"Yes! Yes! Turn around and leave your back to my view" She returned to herself before pretending that nothing happened.
I would like to say that something magical had happened, that my strength increased or something similar, but I really didn't feel anything different, in the end, Athena put a leaf-you-know-where-it-got-from on my back and showed me my statistics

"This is normal? I mean, what does he look like this? I asked Athena
"That's... I think it's a combination between your lack of memories and how the Falna interacts with someone outside the sphere of reality to which it belongs, really interesting" Athena said as she looked intently at the status sheet
"Can you read it?"
"It's a bit tricky, but it seems like my mastery really lets me see what's behind it."
"Are you going to tell me?"
"Nope! It's your hero's journey and I'm going to avoid ruining your adventure."
Before I could say anything else Athena jumped up and started to hug me burying my face in her chest, which felt a little awkward since we were almost the same height, when I raised my eyes a little she just smiled, I could practically see her shine with happiness
"Ahem!"
Still not moving my face away from Athena's chest I moved my gaze to the other newly arrived resident, it was Mavis who was simply neutrally looking at us, her hands slowly approached her chest area, and I rubbed it a bit before their faces made a pout with teary eyes
"Tyron! Idiot!" she said and flew away go-know-where

"I have no idea, don't ask, it's not worth it…" I cut to Athena
Night
It took Athena and me a while to calm Mavis down from whatever was happening to her, although her complaint about "those damn cow titties stealing from my guild members" was a bit more illuminating, though I don't recall agreeing to join her. guild, in the end, what made her happy was the promise that at some point she would be visiting her guild.
As I was making my way back to the dorms I ran into Makoto and Junpei who greeted me, we chatted until we reached the lobby, where we were met by the unusual sight of Aigis in a school uniform, which caught the three of us a bit off guard.
"What do you think?" Yukari asked us if she was there too
"We need a bit of context…" I replied.
"She said she wanted to go to school, so I told Mitsuru as a joke... but the president heard and thought it was a good idea, so tomorrow she will join the school" with that everyone looked at Yukari in a state of shock
"Really? Do you agree with that?" I ask Junpei
"He said something about studying her behavior in a social setting."
"Well, that was a great idea! She Just looks how cute she is in that uniform!"
"The supplied camouflage seems to be the appropriate size" Aigis replied to Junpei
"It looks natural on you, no one will suspect a thing, but why do you want me to go to school? It's like there's something special about it" commented Ken who had been watching everything from the sofa in the lobby
"With the beginning of the second semester, I intend to synchronize my schedule with the other members, if I were to stay here waiting it could delay our deployment," Aigis told us
"Does that deployment have something to do with Makoto?" asked
"I request to accompany our squad leader" he replied
"I also want to go to school," said a new voice
When I turned around I realized that it came from Koromaru, I blinked a little, I cleaned my ears, but I could still hear him speak, or rather I could understand what he was saying although they were still heard as barks, I think I had to talk to Athena more later about this...
My newfound ability aside the whole Aigis thing ended with the decision that she would actually be in class, I was simply praying that it wasn't the same class as mine, or I didn't know what a mess I could end up getting into with her nearby.
Day: 02/Wednesday Month: September Year: 2009
Afternoon
At the end of the classes I meet the boys to go back to the dormitory, Junpei was laughing as he approached me
"What happened?" asked
"Haha, in Aigis's papers it literally says that she was a humanoid tactical weapon! Shouldn't someone have read those papers before handing them over to the school?" Junpei said still laughing
"That's it…"
"Then he sat next to Makoto and says that he wants to always be by her side, which makes Yukari defensive. It was a real catfight!"
"Ya Junpei, leave it!" Yukari snapped
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, he was just kidding"
"But I want to always be by his side…" Aigis added.
So Junpei with the involuntary help of Aigis continued to bother Aigis until we reached the dorms, I tried to take a look at the Velvet Room, but Athena was not in sight so I would have to wait a little longer, but being able to talk with Koromaru was a great experience after all
Day: 04/Friday Month: September Year: 2009
Afternoon
In the end, it became something natural the way Aigis followed Makoto everywhere and as Yukari tried to avoid that, Athena appeared again and according to her quick explanation it was her blessing as the first member of her family, she didn't understand how it was. Both things were related, but I didn't try to deepen the subject, once I returned to the dorm I saw Junpei sitting in the lobby smiling like an idiot.
"I guess you found the girl of your dreams again"
"Yes! Is she not she is she great?!"
"How were things with her?"
"Amazing! She even told me she asked if she could see her tomorrow!"
"Good for you friend! I hope you achieve something with her."
Despite my words I couldn't help but be worried, that Chidori would kidnap Junpei during our next mission, I didn't want to let it happen, but Junpei and Chidori coming together is what fundamentally saves her from dying, Junpei is the one who would save Chidori

Day: 05/Saturday Month: September Year: 2009
Night
Today was the full moon and therefore the next event with shadows, I was worried, worried about Junpei, worried about the older shadows, and worried about the black mask, I had returned directly to the dormitories, preparing my equipment, maintaining my rifle, preparing some things for emergency treatment, last time that masks took us by surprise, but not this time
During the dark hour we all gathered, Fuuka activated his PERSONA to start the shadow, Junpei was missing as he expected, yet Ken would only confirm that once he went and would not find him anywhere in the dorms
"Tonight marks the sixth full moon. Do you spot any shadows?" asked Ikutsuki
"Yes... it's near the Paulownia mall... I think..." Fuuka replied hesitantly
"Can't find it?" I ask Mitsuru
"For some reason, I can't pinpoint its location, but I'm trying to narrow down the general area..."
Ken had finally returned from his search for Junpei, and as he had hoped, there was no trace of him anywhere in the building.
"That idiot, he knows that tonight is the night!" Yukari snapped
"I don't feel him close, should I take more time to look for him just in case?" asked Fuuka
Receiving the refusal of most of the group, I decided to put the problem aside for the moment, everyone except Shinji, who stops me while everyone else starts to leave.
"You know about this right?"
I waited a bit to get completely out of Ikutsuki's range before finally speaking softly so that only Shinji would hear me.
"He will probably be fine, Chidori will try to use it so that we don't kill this shadow, but it doesn't harm him in any way and we will find him at the end of the confrontation"
"Are you sure about that?"
"Chidori... she too may die soon... but Junpei is the one who saves her and helps her redeem herself... I think he can do that..."
Shinji looked at me for a few more moments before nodding, we caught up with the others as we had fallen a bit behind and once we reached the Fuuka mall I again invoked her PERSONA to find the shadow
"Do you detect anything?" I ask Mitsuru
"Just a faint presence, it seems so close, but why...?!" Fuuka got frustrated
"Don't panic, it will only lower your ability, take a few deep breaths and focus solely on the shadow" Shinji told her.
Listening to Shinji she again started to calm down, breathing quietly with her eyes closed to concentrate, with a few more breaths she opened her eyes... which is different from what happened originally
"It's right under our feet in some kind of net," Fuuka tells us.
"Perhaps it has to do with the underground electrical cables, these were left there once the construction of the shopping center was completed" Aigis informed us
"Electric cables?" Mitsuru asked
"Yes, they run underground in all directions"
"That's probably interfering with Fuuka's ability," says Akihiko
"No... the wires aren't the problem... it's the shadow, she has possessed the electric wires!" Fuuka finally said
"So it's under the entire area?!" asked Yukari alarmed
"Fuuka, is there a side where the shadow energy is more concentrated?" asked
"That… yes, yes! Could that be her main body of her?"
"I understand, if we destroy the origin we can bring down the entire network" Akihiko reasoned
"Exact!"
With that Fuuka was finally able to find the exact origin of the shadow, it was a club that had had power problems in recent days according to Shinji, with a path that was in Aigis's plans we reached the bottom of the club where it was the shadow
It had 4 legs with all its limbs connected to multiple wires that spread across the floor, its almost humanoid dark body, white hair, and a bronze mask covering its face, light bulbs seemed to come out of its back, and we all began to surround the shadow of the hermit
"Let's go!" Makoto led us
We all moved, but as we did, a dark aura began to come out of the ground to go directly into the shadow, the bronze mask transformed back into that black mask, forcing her limbs to move to attack us.
"Full armor! Jeanne D'arc!"
Raising my rifle which was now a banner a golden aura appeared and began to surround everyone, quickly placing various buffs on everyone as we dodged the first few attacks, with that done the banner flag wrapped around it allowing me to use it as a spear

Akihiko steps forward to take her Evoker and move it away from her reach, seeing that Chidori tries to escape from Junpei's grasp without success, when he saw that everyone was around her he simply looked at the floor in defeat, with Chidori subdued Mitsuru approached where he was
"Are you a member of the group that calls itself Strega? I have a series of questions for you."
"I'm not... afraid... of dying..." Chidori replied.
"Chi-Chidori…?" Junpei was shocked

Junpei looked at the ground with nothing but defeat written on her face as Akihiko and Shinji escorted Chidori back to the dorms, the dark hour was over then she was taken to the hospital where she would be admitted and she would be watched.
The night had ended with our victory on all fronts… except for Junpei, all I could do is give him moral support and hope for the best from him, physically and mentally exhausted I went back to my room to sleep and call it a day

Mitsuru and Akihiko had gone out earlier to question Chidori, meanwhile, the rest of us stayed in the bedroom, Shinji had made breakfast with Fuuka, Makoto was playing a board game with Yukari, Aigis, and Ken, and I was on the sofa caressing Koromaru who was lying on my stomach, Junpei was just staring at nothing right next to me.
"I have to go see her..." he said in a low voice to what only me and Koromaru heard
"What?"
"I need to ask her… the reason for her to do this…" she continued as his expression turned totally serious.
"Okay... but I'm going with you," I said as I closed my book
We both changed to go out and went straight to the hospital, throughout the trip Junpei remained deadly serious, I had only patted him on the back as a gesture of support, which I appreciate as he nodded, we remained silent even when we arrived at the hospital, which only lasted until we got to his room.
"Chidori!"
"Junpei! You know you shouldn't be here, and why did you agree to this Tyron?" Mitsuru said when he saw us arrive
"I think we could have more answers this way, after all, she and Junpei already know each other"
We both looked at Chidori and Junpei, the latter trying to start a conversation while she seemed more interested in anything other than our group, apparently, the best way to ignore us was for her to be drawing in her notebook.

"Maybe we should confiscate her sketchbook too," Mitsuru says threateningly.
"Come on… what good will that do?! That won't make her talk!" Junpei snaps seeing how Chidori protects his notebook
"I'm not so sure about that, she was pretty upset when we took the Evoker away from her... come to think of it, where did you get that from?"
"Medea… Give her back! I want her back!" Chidori scream
Things were going nowhere, Chidori was hysterical, she couldn't be reasoned with in her current state, we all left the room, Junpei especially sad, in the aisle, she dropped into one of the nearby seats, and I bought a drink from a vending machine and brought it to you
"What happened to her? It's like she's a completely different person than before" Junpei said dejectedly.
"To be honest, I don't know...she seems to have a very strange attachment to her PERSONA, almost like she'll lose her sanity if she's away from her for too long" I replied.
"You two weren't supposed to be here today, especially your Junpei, we know about your relationship with her, that's why you shouldn't be near her" Mitsuru told him

With that Akihiko and Mitsuru left us, Junpei taking the drink I had given him seemed to finally be at peace, when he finished it he just stared at the can for a bit before throwing it in the trash and turning to look at me.
"Thank you, Tyron... I really appreciate that."
"That's what friends are for," I said extending my fist
With a smile, he returned the gesture before we left the hospital
