Chapter 2

"Get off me!" Chrissy was fighting with everything she had, she'd awoken to what seemed like mere minutes to Regina staring at her from the foot of the bed, accompanied by several other random strangers. That alone was enough to set her off, she was starting to feel trapped, the intense feeling to rip off the tubes in her arms and flee more then she could stand. "Its gonna be alright" Regina had said softly "You hit your head pretty hard but your going to be ok" She replied when Chrissy had asked where she was though the smell of aniseptics and floor cleaner was a dead give away.

The next thing she knew she was being wrestled back onto the bed by 2 nurses. The blonde woman had tried easing her back onto the bed but when that didn't work and her fight to run was only worsening they had no choice and two nurses came running in with some sort of syringe in on of their hands.

She was sure as heck not going down without a fight and kicked, screamed and attempted to shove one of the nurses in an attempt to get them to back off but they wouldn't, one had ahold of her arm and she started screaming like a wild animal trapped in a cage because thats exactly what it felt like.

She felt something prick her neck and she flinched back before feeling herself relaxing...a bit to much and passing out again.

"You didn't have to do that!" Snow said chastening the nurses, "She was just scared there was no need..."
"With all due respect miss Blanchard our job is to keep all of our patience's safe even if we have to use any means necessary to do it now excuse us" Charming had to hold snow back as she nearly flew forward "Snow its ok" He had his arms around her now "they didn't have a choice she could have hurt herself or worse, it was the only way."

She shoved away from him and backed off "No, theres always other ways. You know that. This was just the easiest one wasn't it" She stared over at the girl, she didn't know her but still felt sympathy and wanted desperately to help her "She was obviously crying out for help and this is how they chose to deal with it. Its not right!"

She all but stormed out of the room with charming and Emma following behind leaving Regina alone with Chrissy. The once stoick and regal queen was now reduced to tears as she stared down at her childhood freind and gingerly touched her hand "I am so sorry about what happened to you, I tried to look for you every day after that awful night." The queen was on her knees now, crying gently into the sheets. "If I had just stuck up for you" She paused for a moment tears streaming down her face "I didn't mean to let you take the fall for something that I did. Please forgive me."

Chrissy was sobbing now, After what had just happened she didnt want to talk to anyone and wondered if all maids had to go thru what she just had, They'd taken her clothes, thrown a bucket of ice cold water on, cut her hair almost bald there were bits and tufts left and given her some new clothes that were itchy and uncomfortable. She was then taken to a small kitchen inside the castle and given to one of the maids who proceeded to give her the dos and donts, ins and outs and the house rules then gave her something to eat, a small, very thin slice of bread and told where she would be sleeping. The maid brought her up to what looked like an attic and pointed to a bell hanging on the wall it was attached to something but chrissy didn't care to see where it led to.

The maid explained if the bell were to ever ring she must hurry and go fetch whatever Miss. Regina needed it was her job and duty as her personal maid to do so, ignoring the bell could have all sorts of consequences.

Finally after leaving her alone, Chrissy lay herself on the makeshift bed and lay her head on the straw pillow. All at once the bell began to ring demanding Chrissys attention and she wiped her tears away and took a deep breath before rushing down the stairs.

The maid handed her a tray and simply said "Miss. Regina's breakfast. Hurry on then. Up to it" Not wanting to upset the girl she'd been sent over to serve she hurried as fast as her legs could carry her and made her way up to the girls bedroom. She wasn't sure if she should knock or leave the food near the door but that was taken out of her hands as the door swung open, Chrissy gave a small bow and replied "Your breakfast Miss."

Regina took it graciously but rather then eat she placed it down and grabbed Chrissys hand catching her by surprise. "Do you want to see my dolls?" She asked, "I have a lot of them. Come see" She continued to drag her forward before stopping near what looked like a rather large shelf and picked up the most beautiful porcelain doll chrissy had ever seen. Its beautiful glassy eyes and short blonde hair, wearing a blue sparkly dress with cute little shoes to match was more then she could stand which is why she was so caught off guard when Regina held it out to her "Do you want to play with it?" Chrissy backed away "Oh no miss, I- I couldn't. Its much to beautiful and I-" She was about to say she didnt want to ruin the pretty dress with her dirty hands but Regina gave her no choice and shoved it towards her.

Chrissy stared at it in awe as Regina picked another one off the shelf and motioned for her to sit down. She shook her head, if someone caught her she would be in big trouble. "I- I better not Miss..."

"You can call me Regina" She smiled, again, Chrissy wanted to protest and something clicked in Reginas head, "Ok then have it your way. I'll just tell mother you refused to play with me and that I'm very unhappy" Chrissy would have been so fearful had it not been for the quirk of Reginas eyebrow and the playful smile on her face "So I suggest you sit down and play tea party with me."

Hesitating for a minute Chrissy finally gave in and sat down, she was a bit nervous at first and unsure but within minutes she found herself laughing, playing and having a good time. Regina even pulled out some dresses from her closet and they began twirling around as if they were in a ballroom.

They giggled with excitement as Regina acted like a prince wanting to kiss a princess hand, Chrissy pretended to gag and giggled again "Yuck. Yuck. Yuck!"

After they'd had their fun they were now lying on the floor and staring up at the ceiling. "So this is what its like" Regina mused, Chrissy confused as ever stared at her "What, is what like M- I mean Regina"

"This is what it must be like to have a freind. I've never had one, I've been alone my whole life."

Chrissy thought it over for a second and nodded in agreement, Regina then did something she never expected. She held out her pinky and made her do the same. "From now on we're sisters k" Chrissy made a wow sound and smiled, she'd never had a sister before and loved the idea "Right. Sisters for life" "For life" Regina repeated "Nothing will ever tear us apart."
If only they'd known that the good times wouldn't last forever
