'Help will arrive soon,' thought Izuku Midorya as he watched the sludge villain trying to force its captive into submission so it could get away. 'Someone…A hero…will soon…' Izuku froze as he watched the captive open their eyes. "Kacchan." He dropped his book and charged forward towards the villain, ignoring the screams of the watching heroes.
The villain noticed Izuku approaching and mumbled something to itself.
'Why did I run?' What am I doing? Why?!' The green haired boy thought as he continued to charge at the villain.
"Die in an explosion!" The villain yelled as it forced its captive to fire off its quirk.
'What do I do? What do I do at a time like this?' He frantically thought, trying to think of some way to rescue Katsuki and survive. His mind flashed back to his journal on quirks.
"Pre-emptive Binding Lacquered Chain Prison: Quickly stretch out arms (vines) to make the opponent flinch back, and then use that opening to restrain them." Izuku slung his backpack off and threw it in the villain's face yelling, "Take that!"
The villain flinched back and Katsuki's face was freed from the villain.
"Kacchan!" Izuku screamed as he jumped at the slime holding Katsuki captive.
"Why are you here?!" Katsuki yelled as Izuku was trying to claw the slime off of him.
"My legs moved on their own! I don't know why though!" The sludge strengthened its hold on Katuki while Izuku continued to try to claw the slime off. 'I think there were various reasons. My mind flashed back to the doctor who told me that I should give up trying to be a hero. Bakugo asking himself how could I stand in the same ring as him. Finally he thinks of All Might, even though he was severely injured, he still saves people with a smile. But at this moment, giving the biggest smile that he could, he looked at his best friend, "You looked like you were asking for help…
"Stop it…" Katsuki groans out.
The villain suddenly surged up and yelled, "Don't get in my way!"
He heard someone yelling behind him, but before anyone could do anything he was hit by the villain. He felt a surge of pain from his head.
"NO!" Izuku heard someone scream in rage. Struggling to open his eyes he sees All Might crouching in front of him. "Kid. Don't worry. I've already called someone to come and help you. I was wrong kid, you have the heart of a hero."
Izuku forced a smile on his face. "Th-tha-nk y-ou, All Might." Izuku coughed out. Then he closed his eyes and everything faded to black. The last thing he heard was All Might trying to make him stay awake.
