Chapter 4
Curled up into a ball, Chrissy was shivering having gotten no sleep that night. Her mind was racing to much and by the time she started drifting off the door to her prison opened up letting in a bit of light causing her to flinch back and turn away for a moment before allowing her eyes to adjust. It was that woman again, in her hands she had a tray with her. Chrissy couldn't really tell what was on it until the woman opened the door and made her way in. "I know what your thinking" The woman said, "My advice is, dont. Theres a barrier around this area that only I can remove. If you were to take two steps outside you'd fry yourself to death." She said all this with the proudest grin on her face.
Chrissy rather then reply looked down at the tray it had 2 pieces of cornbread, some tomato soup, pinto beans, and some white rice with chicken. Her stomach growled perfously, she hadn't eaten in days it took all her strength but she turned away from the woman who was holding her hostage without a word, the woman merely shrugged "Very well. starve to death see if I care. I'll get that necklace from you one way or another. Even if I have to peel it off your lifeless body" She stood up and started walking away, the internal struggle was real and she fought with herself before calling out "Wait!" the woman stopped, from her view Chrissy couldn't see the evil smirk on her face. "I'll take it" She said quickly but keeping her gaze to the ground."
The woman turned around and smiled "There now, was that so difficult." Truthfully it was, Chrissy was shoveling the cornbread into her mouth, her stomach overruling her pride. The woman stared at her in satisfaction. "dont make yourself sick, I have a little trip i want to take you on afterwards."
Chrissy stopped for a moment, she knew she was gonna regret asking "Trip to where?"
"what kind of host would I be if I spoiled the surprise. I'm warning you though if you try to pull anything I'll have you yanked back here so fast and with one less limb then you started off with."
Chrissy gulped but continued to eat, she didn't know this woman but she could see she was telling the truth just from the cold calculating way her eyes were staring back at her. "I wont try anything" She said quietly. Not yet anyway.

After checking on Henry who the nurses assured would be good to go home in a couple days she went to go check on the girl but when she found the bed empty she all but ran over to the nurses station, when that proved to be a dead end she called Regina who'd been the one that found the girl unconscious. "where could she have gone?" Emma asked "there were nurses watching her from every angle and she couldn't have poofed herself out of here..."
"Unless she had help" Regina interrupted, trying to rack her brain for anyone with those kind of capabilities. "Question is from who and if that was the case they could be anywhere by now."
"We're obviously not getting anywhere staying here. I'll go back to the station and see if I can dig up any information. I'll call you when I find something."
"By then they could be all the way out of town by now. We can't risk that. we need to get everyone together and form a search party."
"That wont do any good you know that..."
"How? How exactly do you know that miss. swan."
"Well for one we dont know where to look and second we dont know how this girl thinks there are tons of areas she could be hiding in, if she catches on we're looking for her she'll move to another location and we'll be right back where we started."
"So thats it then, you expect me to go home. Sit and wait until I hear something is that what you expect me to do?"
"I expect you, to trust me."
Regina didn't say a word but appeared to be admitting defeat. She knew what emma was thinking why does this case matter so much to you? that was something she was not yet ready to tell her about.
"I'll call you when I find something, you should go check on Henry in the mean time. He was actually asking to see you" That got her attention, the last she'd seen her son he was siding with the heroes and turning on her just like everyone else. She could not pass this opportunity to rebond with her son. "Ok, just keep me updated ok Miss swan" Emma nodded "You know I will" With those final words Regina walked away, there was something up with her Emma knew this and she couldn't help but shake this feeling that Regina and that girl were connected somehow. Regina didn't care about anyone this deeply other then henry so this was definitely something she was going to look into. Whatever Regina was hiding she would find out what it was, one way or another.

As Cora paced around the room, the book she practically carried everywhere was flipping pages on its own as Cora spoke. Chrissy stood behind Regina and was brushing her hair. Regina stood up straight as a regal queen should, her hands placed on her lap as she repeated every word Cora spat out at her. Cora appeared to be studying spells and giving Regina lessons on being a proper lady at the same time so she didnt know when Reginas whole body tensed she was to busy criticizing how Regina sat, how she spoke and how she'd applied her makeup which given she was only 12 and didn't know how but was just expected to know everything about applying it, it didnt seem fair.
At one point Cora was making Regina recite what she would be saying on her coronation day which wasn't until she turned 15 but of course Cora wanted her to get a move on learning it now. Regina messed up quite badly the first couple times frustrating cora and causing her to lash out "How can you expect to be a proper queen if you cant even learn the simplest of tasks.
Regina argued that she was trying and when it became obvious her mom wasn't listening stood up and started stomping out the door. "Dont you walk away from me!" Cora snarled, Regina froze in place and was lifted up off the ground and was left dangling in the air Coras grip not letting up.
Chrissy almost snapped but had to stop herself, she and Regina had been over this many times before nothing her mother could do to her was as bad as what would happen to Chrissy if she tried to intervene during these types of situations. As if sensing it Regina could only give her a look that said 'No. Back off' and she had no choice but to listen. Regina quickly looked to her mother and apologized telling her how she'd be a good girl and would never walk off like that again. This seemed to quell her anger and she slowly put her down "Good girl" She said, there was no love in her voice only triumph as she had clearly won this argument "I love you so much my darling. You know that" A small tear forming but holding it back all regina could do was nod.
Cora walked away in that moment, Chrissy shivered just slightly as she brushed past her without a word. Once she was sure cora had fully gone Chrissy ran over to help Regina to her feet but she pushed her away "I'm fine" She said quickly "Please dont worry about me."
"but I am. she cant keep treating you this way."
"Its just the way she is" Regina admitted "She'll never change all I can do is grin and bear it until I'm old enough then I'm leaving this place for good."
Chrissy gasped "Regina no, what if she catches you. She has magic. you don't. If you fight back you wont stand a chance."
"I dont need magic, I just need to learn to ride and get a fast enough horse. I know what I need to do, I need to set up riding lessons with that boy Daniel. If I get good enough no one will be able to catch me. I'll just tell my mom that I thought about it a lot and that shes right I need to start acting like a proper lady and what better way to start then learning how to ride."
Chrissy wanted to stop her but once Regina got an idea stuck in her mind there was no changing it. All she could do was stand by and listen to Reginas plan. This was not going to end well and Chrissy knew it. She had to figure out something to help her should her plan not go the way she planned and she knew just the person to talk to about this.
The blue fairy. If anyone could help she could.
To be continued.
