Chapter 1: Their Faith is Here.

On an opening of a cave, the young siblings were running along on the edges. It was Aphelios and his Sister Alune, running happily as they strode from left and right balancing near the edge. The height was terrifying.

"Careful!" Screamed Aphelios as he held on the wall. "That part is too steep, let's go back before father sees us."

"Don't worry Phel..." She balanced herself with her steps. "See it's not bad, don't be a wimp." Alune jokingly teases him, but then in seconds with rumble the unfortunate happened, Alune slipped and hanging on the edge. "Brother!!!" She screamed.

Aphelios was terrified, hastily he ran towards her. Quickly grabbed her hand.

"Don't let go." She screamed.

Aphelios began pulling her into him and safely got right back. The immediately went back to the cave where they we're been and back to the entrance. Tired they sat on the stones.

"Don't scare me like that again." Aphelios said to her as he braced his hands on her shoulder.

"Sorry, I got carried away." Alune laughed in embarrassment. "Besides I have a strong brother to protect me." she smiled at him.

"..." Aphelios' face turned bright red. "ehh... did you just forgot? you almost died!" He stood up. "Let's go back to the tribe."

"Ughhh! you're no fun." Alune got up and took his hand.

"It will getting dark soon." Aphelios looked at the horizon.

The two went back to their place. As they track their steps Aphelios pondered his future with Alune.

"Luna, Do you think that we're not the choosen ones." He asked.

"What do you mean?"

"It's just what if... we're not the ones who will set free out Race." Aphelios cleared.

Alune fell silent.

"Is it too much huh? Luna."

"Do you have faith Phel?" She asked.

"What do you mean by faith?" he asked.

"The moonlight shows my path every night." She answered.

"So you do think, we're the chosen ones."

"Don't waver my brother, Trust in me as much the Lunari trust us." She stopped walking and looked at Aphelios. "Our Faith is Here." She pointed at their place. "Our people."

Aphelios stood still, didn't answered her words.

"Phel, I know you have faith, somewhere in you." She placed her hand on his chest. "You just need to find it."

It came to him. Aphelios realized that She was his faith, their bond is the ignition of his faith inside him.

"L-Luna.. you're my faith." he said to her.

She blushed and looked away from her twin, thinking it was a joke.

"Don't call me Luna.. just use my real name."

Aphelios chuckled. "But you kept calling me 'Phel'."

"Oh Phel.. I will always be by your side, so your faith won't waver." She happily encourages him.

Aphelios smiled. "I won't leave you too."

"Let's go back home brother."

"Sure."

The went to their house, ending their exploration.

As their about to go in their greeted by one of the elders.

They gave their respects.

"What lovely children.. but may I ask, is your father there." The old lady asked.

"I think he is." Aphelios answered.

The two went inside to call their father. He immediately went out and talked to the old lady.

"What is it?" Father asked.

"Hellios the elders wanted to ask you something... privately." The old lady asked.

"Elder Xeres?... Wait here, I need to do something first." Hellios went inside again.

Hellios caught the siblings listening by the doorstep.

"Hey you two, While I'm gone just stay inside, don't leave your sister alone Aphelios." Their father commanded.

"Yes, Father." He answered.

Hellios took his outdoor garments and took off.

"The food is on kitchen, cooked... I'm letting you know that I may come back home late." Hellios left his remarks and closed the door.

Aphelios started to clean the house, from the living room to his bedroom till dusk. The two ate together and went to their room readying to sleep.

Alune slowly hopped on Aphelios bed, he was tired drowsy even. It made worse when Alune started to hum him a song. Aphelios' eyes was so heavy he couldn't lift it once, because Alune's singing made him feel peaceful.

Tired Aphelios says. "You sound... like mother."

Alune paused for a bit, but continued to hum the lullaby.

The song ended and Aphelios was fast asleep. After that she went to sleep as well near him.

3 hours past and almost midnight...

Alune heard a sound. It was vague but it meant something. Everything was white until she opened her eyes, she was on the shrine she's visiting all the time at the top where she can see the full view of mount Targon. she knew she wasn't far from home so she sat there. She heard the voice clearer and louder, it was a short hum a message from a goddess perhaps- she thought.

"Mother Moon is that you calling me?" She said.

She closed her eyes and kept listening, premonitions began sweeping her. Events untold from the future was overwhelming her, Events that was vague but did made an impact.

Meanwhile Aphelios woke up. He fixed his bedsheets and felt the warm heat from her sister.

"She slept here." he said.

He then went to check his father if he came back, he found him sleeping peacefully on the living room, He fixed his blanket and left him. Then he went to Alune's room checking if she's sleeping, to his surprise she wasn't to be seen.

"Alune?"

He looked left and right. "Where are you?"

Then in a heartbeat he realized. He immediately wore his proper attire and took a lamp with him and rushed towards the shrine. He ran and ran until he saw her sitting, moonlight shines a path.

"Alune!" He yelled. "This keeps happening for weeks now."

Alune turned around and rushed to hug him. Aphelios saw the tears on her eyes, he slowly wiped them away.

"Why are you crying Luna?" He comforted her, hugging her while brushing her hair with his hands.

"I saw horrible things brother." She said while weeping.

"Hush, Luna... there's nothing to be scared about."

Aphelios looked upon the moonlight was shining and a faint flower was blooming on a small pool far away. Aphelios was confused to what he saw.

"I think Moon Showed me something." Alune pushed her brother away. "All I saw was blood and screaming... and you."

Aphelios was speechless.

"Why am I seeing this." Alune began questioning her faith.

"I know theres a reason why Mother Moon showed you this... her wisdom is too much for us." Aphelios explained.

Aphelios' words calmed Alune.

"Maybe you're right... let's go home." Alune took a deep breath.

while walking Alune asked his brother.

"I think its happening Phel."

"Happening?"

"I think what I saw was the prophesy mother told us about."

"Really?" Answered Aphelios.

"What you don't believe me?" Alune frowns at him.

"No it's not that I don't trust you... I'm just worried."

"Worried about what Phel? Worried about freeing the Lunari." She answered.

Aphelios wasn't confident about himself, he doesn't want Alune to know. He never wanted to fight. He only knows that he must protect Alune.

"Don't you have Faith in Mother Moon, Phel? in me?" She said to his brother in front of her."

Her words shocked Aphelios.

"I only care about protecting you." He said.

"But protecting me also means you must protect the Lunari." She cried to him.

"I know that."

"Then why waver? If you trully have faith in me then you must have faith for the Lunari which where my faith belongs." She tightened her hands on her chest, grabbing her garments. "Our faith is here... our home Phel."

"I'm worried about myself, What if I couldn't do it... sometimes I think that I'm a burden to the tribe after mother died." Aphelios eyes slowly let out a tear.

"Phel..."

"Am I human to them? or just a weapon that can be replaced." He cried out while tears began flowing in his eyes.

"Ohh Phel..." Alune approach him then hugged him. "Don't think yourself like that... you no weapon, you're my brother." She smiled.

Aphelios felt her warm company. He stood there for minutes until he stopped crying.

Alune knew that the tribes expectations was overwhelming him, she knew that he needed someone to comfort him, to give him strength, and to give him faith.

"Don't worry brother, I'm always here to care for you." Alune said in a calm voice.

"I love you, Luna." Aphelios took hold of her hands and they walked.

Alune smiled. "I love you too, Phel."

Their bond was already strong but this moment cemented it. This made them realized that none without the other and they must always be together.
