Courtney was an interesting person to write in this All Stars rewrite. I wanted her to have some redemption to her without taking away too much of her bite from past seasons, hence her portrayal. And while her friendship with Gwen didn't do well, her relationship with Scott definitely paid off in the end. So she ends up pretty happy in the end.
